NOTE: If you are using the regular charter service, your stay on Porphyry Island must be either 3 nights (Thursday to Sunday) or 4 nights (Sunday to Thursday). Shorter stays require arranging private charter services (see below).
If you do not have your own boat, private charter trips can be booked for groups from Silver Islet with Archie's Fishing Charters and Lighthouse Tours or from Thunder Bay with Sail Superior.

Our family recently stayed here and we cannot recommend it enough. If you love the idea of being surrounded by nature but still want the comfort and convenience of modern life, this is the perfect spot.
The site itself was beautiful and well-maintained. The accommodations were complete with all the essential amenities, making the experience completely stress-free. It was the perfect balance of a rugged outdoor vibe and total comfort.

What a beautiful oasis you have created! The area was private, clean, quiet and had everything we needed to cook our food. The bed was comfortable and we loved the dining shelter with comfy chairs. Weekend Trip to Get Calm Lavender Sanctuary
We were truly amazed by the entire experience, especially by the warm hospitality of our hosts, Conrad and Aneeta. They were incredibly accommodating and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
The place was exactly what we had hoped for—beautiful, peaceful, and everything we expected. On our first day, Conrad immediately showed us around the accommodation and the entire 110-acre property via ATV. He drove us through the trails, outdoor kitchen, shower room, charging room, common area, the lake, and more.
The following day, we enjoyed an hour of kayaking, followed by a relaxing forest trail walk to the lavender farm. Later, we experienced the sauna and even joined a complimentary breathing exercise session. In the evening, we had a lovely bonfire with the hosts’ family, where we shared great conversations before enjoying a restful night’s sleep.
The next morning, before we headed home, they prepared complimentary coffee for us. It was truly an unforgettable and wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Melanie & Ryan were fantastic hosts! They were kind, helpful, and incredibly responsive. The place is beautiful, and the lights make it magical and easy to navigate around at night. The yurt was gorgeous. My friend and I visited at the end of October, so it got very cold at night. However, the mattress heating pad worked wonders, and Melanie was incredibly kind to offer us additional bedding. Thank you for a great glamping experience!

We had such a wonderful stay at Shiloh Barn! Jess and Mark were amazing hosts — super kind, welcoming, and always available if we needed anything.
The glamping tent was clean, cozy, and had everything we could possibly need — utensils, washroom, tissues, even little touches that made it feel really comfortable. The barn loft upstairs with the string lights was adorable and such a nice place to unwind.
We had a great time barbecuing, sitting by the fire pit, and stargazing late into the night. It was peaceful, romantic, and such a refreshing break from city life.

Weekend Trip to Shiloh Barn Glamping
This was our second attempt to camp at Shiloh Barn. We needed to cancel our previous booking due to a family matter. Jessica was 100% helpful during the cancelation and rebooking process with me.
Thankfully, we rebooked for this weekend. The weather was amazing.
The property is beautiful. Well taken care of. Lots of amenities and nice touches for glamping so there isn't too much that you need to pack.
The glamping area with the barn and large tent is at the back of the property. Very spacious area that you have all to yourself. Clean, well tended too, and extremely private.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely like to return.
Thanks for being great hosts. Our only suggestion would be a picnic table, but we adapted by carrying out the small table at the barn to enjoy the beautiful weather.
