We had the most incredible two night stay at Julia’s property. Everything was perfect, the most peaceful place. We had rain one night and it was still magical! We saw deer, we had nice fires under the stars, and enjoyed the seclusion and silence! There was just the right amount of space inside for me, my husband and our dog. I think out of everyone, my dog enjoyed herself the most with so much nature and things to sniff!
Julia gave us everything we could need for a perfect stay.
I cannot wait to go back soon. Thank you Julia! Please please check out this location yourself! 🌻💛🧡💚

Julia was an amazing guest! Very responsive. The cabin was cute. It had everything you needed. Adding dinner was a bonus!! amazing food. If you are looking for a spot off a path with no one else around. This is perfect!! Clean and worth every penny.

Beautiful space! Julia was very accommodating and made an excellent vegetarian charcuterie board that was so so good. You can tell she cares a lot and it's evident in the pamphlets she provides about Perth County, water and coffee/tea she has there, muffins for the guests, etc. Everything was clean and felt very welcoming. Would recommend!

Julia has a beautiful property and is such a wonderful host!
The tent itself was spacious and everything you need for a night (or a few) is provided. The bed is comfortable and the linens were clean. The deck has ample space and is such a lovely place to sit and enjoy the forest/field. We sadly had the (personal) misfortune of experiencing quite a lot of large wolf spiders coming up from the deck. This is likely more of a seasonal problem but if you're uncomfortable with spiders I'd recommend reaching out to Julia to see if they're currently an issue. At the end of the day, you are camping in an open floor tent over a deck so you can expect bugs!
During the day we popped over to Stratford (my hometown) and grabbed a coffee and walked around, playing tourist. When we got back to the property, we decided to explore the forest (directions for getting into the woods/down to the creek/river are provided in a handbook in the tent) followed by relaxing on the deck taking in nature. We saw some wild turkeys and at night we were able to stargaze and enjoy a fire while listening to the sounds of coyotes, crickets, and an owl!
Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Julia's HipCamp!

This cabin is beautifully situated on farmland that backs onto a forested area. Julia and Bob have built such a cozy getaway here with trails to explore that lead to a waterway. In the evening we enjoyed a fire just steps from the cabin and we could look up and pick out constellations in the night sky.
The cabin itself comes with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The host also provides basic breakfast items. Would highly recommend!

The stay was really nice. The host was lovely, she left us a small selection of snacks and ingredients to help with breakfast. The cabin was cozy, clean and very private. The star gazing was amazing and we went for a little hike which was equally as enjoyable. We went with our newborn baby and dog and felt really comfortable.
