The 110-acre estate has been overtaken with Red Cedars at the front of the property, and also has a mature forest at the rear of the property. It has become a sort of refuge for wildlife. Deer, bunnies, and even Coyotes roam freely on what has over the past 20 or 30 years become a young forest. This is a place of quiet reflection. however, it is also a great place to reunite with loved ones over exciting conversations, music, and drinks over the flame of a campfire. However, we exercise a quiet hours policy starting at 11pm. No loud music or loud talking. We are in close proximity to the first and most prominent vineyard in PEC. (Wauppos Estates). They have some of the best wine you will find here, and spectacular gardens on the lake with a south-facing dock. Grab a glass of wine and wander the grounds. They also have a petting zoo, ice cream, and a market where you can grab food, drinks, or some fresh local produce. Nearby there are blueberry and strawberry fields where you can pick your own fruit. Right around the corner from us we have our favourite wine maker at Amanda’s Winery.

Fenella is a small village about 7 min away that has a large convenience/ grocery/Beer store as well as gas stations and Canabis beyond belief ! Go carts, food trucks and the best Butter Tart Factory as well! Warkworth is a town east of us about 20 min and Cobourg is 20 min South of us. Many shopping experiences available. Primrose Donkey Sanctuary is down the road a few minutes which we highly suggest visiting. Look their hours up before planning a visit! We have easy access up our road about 1 km to the Northumberland Trails where you can ride your horses, cycle, ride your ATVs,walk or jog. We have goats and can provide goat walks on our own trails. Goat walks are about 30 minutes generally and $15 per walk. Our own Free Range eggs are available for $7/doz as well as firewood for $10 per bundle Dogs are welcome as long as they are constantly on a leash, as we have chickens that free range! We ask that you bring your own water and hydro please. We hosted 35-40 endurance horses and their riders in August of 2022! We welcome tents and all trailers!

The Kountry Korner is a cozy part of our families working farm . Goats and chickens roam the property living their best life. The property consists of wooded areas, fields and a 12 acre private lake. Firewood available $15.00 bundle 5 Dry tent sites available with level gravel bases. These are located in the woods. Starting at $35.00 per 4 people. Parking at site. Potable water and showers available at office. 3 Dry RV sites available. Starting at $40 per night. These are not pull through sites. Reversing is necessary. Don't let that stop you though, assistance is available. Level grassed area, picnic table and firepit. Dry means No hook ups at sites. Water available at office. Outdoor shower at office. Outdoor sink. Please note.... Alcohol is fine but drink responsibly. This is a family place not a bush party. Quarry pond open dawn till dusk daily. No admittance after dark please No loud music after 9 pm. Chickens and goats roam free about the property. Please keep your pets leashed. Just across Belleville Bay Bridge, Prince Edward County is home to beaches, Lake Ontario waters, and Sandbanks Provincial Park. Find beachfront and waterfront campsites throughout Prince Edward and within Sandbanks Provincial Park that have excellent access to the county’s noteworthy wineries and farm-to-table restaurants. Bon Echo Provincial Park

North of Belleville, Bon Echo Provincial Park is best known for Mazinaw Rock. The sheer rock cliff rises 100-metres above the shores of Mazinaw Lake. A national historic site of Canada, the cliff face is adorned with a diverse collection of over 260 First Nations pictographic symbols. From the park’s various campsites—backcountry, roofed, and RV—campers can paddle up in a canoe or kayak to get a closer view of the ancient artwork. Then, wander along nature trails that weave through forests, wetlands, and lake shorelines.

Thousand Islands National Park

One of the most unique camping experiences available near Belleville is Thousand Islands National Park on St. Lawrence River. Despite its name, the park actually consists of 20 granite islets of varying sizes where explorers can snorkel and dive to observe underwater wildlife. Both mainland and island camping are available, but island access is only by private boat. Amenities vary by island and may not include potable water. Glampers may want to try cottage rentals in luxurious waterfront locations around the park as another option.

With average daytime temperatures in the mid-20s, summertime is peak camping season near Belleville. Warm, sunny weather is ideal for swimming, hiking, and mountain biking, and campsites can fill up quickly. In spring, landscapes fill with blossoming flowers and budding trees. It’s also when Maple in the County festivities take place, which celebrate the region’s maple syrup production with activities, tours, and tastings.
