We loved our four nights at Alison’s and Marie! They were so kind, with beautiful attentions for our family with our 4yo. I loved how calm it was, very big lot and nobody near, so our daughter could enjoy running around even if she’s shy. The animals are well treated, the chickens are free roam and just enjoy their lives. We heard owls, coyotes and saw lots of butterflies and bats! The toilet was very clean. The gazebo is so cute. Sincerely, we just loved that we felt like we were part of their family! Talking with our hosts was so fun, not something I usually do, but their amazing vibes will make you comfortable! We were close enough for the beach of sandbanks but also to enjoy the other cities around! We found amazing family parks and loved when we return to the camp to just enjoy life with the animals. Just bring some earplugs for the rooster in the morning, to be expected! And bring enough water for your dishes, since there no washing station. Thanks for everything, Bettina ate all the courgette in a day and always ask for the « good honey » nonstop. We can’t wait to come again!

We were delighted to spend a night at this gem of a camping spot just minutes to Picton and the Glenora ferry. Alison and Marie were the most accommodating and hospitable hosts, we only wish that we could spend more time here. The goats and chickens were such a fun and interactive feature of the property and we appreciated the charm of the farm life just outside our tent. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone!

Peaceful evenings

This was my second stay here and it was great. Beautiful well kept farm with super friendly hosts. We had unlimited nighttime entertainment with the meteor showers. Even though all the sites were booked while we were there it was still super quiet and peaceful. Whenever I’m in the area next I wouldn’t hesitate to come back a third time.

Lovely stay in a cute campsite well located and with amazing host! Despite a very short stay, we felt most welcome and Marie made sure we had everything we needed and was very flexible with our timing that got impacted by the ferry. Cannot recommend enough!

We loved staying at Sweet escapes, the property is beautiful and so spacious! Marie is so kind and helpful. We were travelling with our 3 kids and she was so patient with them - allowing them to feed to goats and visit the chickens 100x. We cant wait to go back!

A positive first time experience

A good stay- This was my first stay at a Hipcamp. I had booked another location with another host who cancelled on me causing refund problems which took a while to correct. So I was leery about booking another site. Arriving at the location, the host was not home yet which caused me to worry. However, the host showed up within 5 minutes so all was well. She showed me the site and used a tractor to carry down my camp gear. That was unexpected but very welcomed. Bought some firewood to use on my second night. It rained that day so my wood got soaked. Host actually replaced my wet wood with very dry wood. My fire was a one matchstick fire. Enjoyed my evenings here. No isues with me comng and going at odd times. (I was geocaching) Upon leaving early in the morning, I packed up and carried some of my gear to my car. Upon seeing this, the host brought the tractor down to bring back the rest of my gear. I had a pleasant experience over my 2 night stay. Other sites were occupied but there is lots of space between sites. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Do not skip out on it!!!

The hosts were amazing! We’ve never felt so welcomed at someone’s place. Not to mention the amazing campground that they offered. The campground was spacious and provided a nice picnic table with a fire pit. The hosts offered to help us bring our camping gear with their tractor to make our camping experience even easier! We got to meet their farm animals at multiple occasions and they provided us with secret beach spots around the area when we found out that there was no space at Sandbanks. Truly an unforgettable experience and would definitely recommend to anyone that wishes to have an incredible camping stay! Would definitely go back just to see the hosts again!

This is a wonderful spot close to Sandbanks. The hosts are really sweet, we had wet mastresses at some point so they borrowed us some ! We intended to stay 2 nights but we ended up staying longer. Love this app

We had such a wonderful stay! Alison and Marie were incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming, and gave us lots of great information about things to see and do in the area. The campsite itself was beautiful, and the animals were such a cool bonus! There’s plenty to explore nearby, too. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend staying! ❤️

We had the most wonderful getaway at Sweet Escape, and a huge part of that was getting to know Alison and Marie. They are exceptional, welcoming hosts who made us feel right at home. They're land is absolutely beautiful and you have so much privacy at your campsite. They could pack in many campers but they keep the sites big and spacious. We were lucky enough to be there during a honey harvest—Marie even walked us through the step-by-step process, and getting to taste the fresh honey was a real treat! The peaceful, car-free farm setting was made even better by their super friendly dogs (the puppy therapy was a massive highlight). They went above and beyond by giving us fantastic local recommendations for the area and even gifting us a homegrown zucchini to take home, which we deeply appreciated. Combined with visiting the local wineries and shops nearby PEC, and enjoying the serene countryside, this is a truly special place. We can't wait to return with friends!

A perfect stay

Sweet Escapes was just that. Alison and Marie were great hosts, genuine and welcoming. We stayed at the RV site which had plenty of room and shade. There is a 30amp outlet available for the site. The portaloo is very clean and has a basin with foot pumped water. There are goats and chickens as well as bee hives. We were lucky enough to have been there during the honey harvest and got a hands on education in the process. Not an experience to be missed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended if you are in that area.

Alison and Marie are wonderful hosts. From the moment we arrived, my partner and I felt completely welcomed and at home. They made sure we had everything we needed and offered great recommendations for the local area. We were lucky to visit when they were extracting honey, and they were generous enough to show us the process. The site itself was clean, quiet, and cozy. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this spot.

Très bel accueil de la part d'Alison et Marie. Nous avons eu un superbe séjour de 4 jours au Sweet Escape. Site joli et tranquille avec leurs animaux, Alison et Marie sont très attentionnées à leurs visiteurs. Elles ont su nous guider et nous proposer des visites intéressantes des alentours. Accueillir les gens est une chose, mais prendre le temps de s'interesser véritablement à eux demeure une rare qualité. Autre point, une des hôtes, Marie parle français ce qui ajoute au plaisir lorsqu'on est du Québec. Nous recommandons cet endroit à 100% et espérons avoir l'occasion d'y retourner. À noter que le site se trouve à une distance raisonnable de plusieurs attraits touristiques comme le parc de Sandbanks, les vignobles et autres lieux historiques.

We stayed here from Thursday to Sunday and had a great time. The place is very quiet, peaceful, and perfect to relax. My kids loved the animals. One day we went out for a trip, but my son asked to come back to the campsite because he wanted to see if the chicken had laid an egg. That shows how much he enjoyed being there. Alison made our stay even better. She was very welcoming, kind, and patient with the children. Her hospitality really made a difference. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. We hope to come back!

Everything went smoothly, from the booking to the instructions, to getting there and being greated by Alison. She is absolutely lovely and helpful, and the campsite was great! You hear a lot of nature sounds (crickets, birds, coyotes, chicken, etc.), it was really peaceful. The toilet was clean as well. I highly recommend it :)

Hobby Farm Camping - A SweetDelight

This was a pretty sweet stay, way better than our time at Sandbanks Provincial Park last year! We booked very last minute, Alison was very accommodating and welcoming. We had everything we needed, and even got to know/enjoy the personalities of the farm animals. Be prepared for wildlife sounds, it was awesome to hear coyotes/algonquin wolves in the distance as we fell asleep. And the creek's bullfrog has a wonderful croak. Everyone was a pleasure to get to know, be sure to give the two pups some face time!!!

Une très belle expérience de camping 🏕️ Accueil chaleureux par Alyson dans une petite fermette calme et paisible, entourée de chèvres, lapins, poules, poulets et de deux adorables chiens. 🐐🐇🐓🐶 J’ai eu la chance de faire une visite de la ferme et du grand potager avec Alyson, qui est vraiment très accueillante et généreuse de son temps. Le site est paisible, les toilettes sont très propres et il est aussi possible d’acheter du bois sur place. Merci beaucoup pour ce bel accueil! Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir et avons vraiment pu profiter de l’endroit pour nous reposer. À bientôt! ☀️

C'était un séjour absolument merveilleux ! Alison et Marie ont été à l'écoute de nos besoins tout au long de notre séjour. Le site est magnifique, calme et très bien entretenu. Nous avons particulièrement adoré la petite fermette, qui a été un vrai coup de cœur. Les commentaires que nous avions lus avant de réserver sont tout à fait véridiques. Our stay at Alison and Marie’s farm was delightful from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They helped us carry all of our gear to our campsite, guided us to the right location, and even came to the rescue when we ran out of ice by generously providing some from their own home to keep our food cold. The animals were such a wonderful touch and made the whole place feel warm, peaceful, and welcoming. We were also greeted with a thoughtful welcome gift, which really showed how much they care about their guests’ comfort and experience. We did have a few little earwig visitors, but it certainly wasn’t enough to take away from our incredibly pleasant stay. Being surrounded by nature, it’s simply part of the experience. Alison and Marie are incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming people. Their genuine hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We highly recommend staying here to anyone passing through the area. 10/10—we would absolutely camp here again!

Alison’s an excellent host, and the camp is very charming and cozy. It was great sleeping alongside a little stream. The animals on the property are a great bonus too. She had many great recommendations, so very much work checking out if you’re looking for a place to stay in PEC.
