Absolutely perfect spot for a little weekend away. The hosts were very helpful and had great recommendations for local attractions. Also, we thought we would be much farther away from our vehicle than we actually were. You park on the same property you are camping on, you just don’t pull straight up to your spot to avoid tire tracks along the property. Overall, it was perfect for our trip and we are so grateful to the hosts for having us.

We really enjoyed our stay at Creek side 2. The place was resourcing, quiet, clean and the hosts super welcoming. Also a great spot for stargazing!!

11/10! Our one night stay was too short of a time at the Sweet Escape! Alison and Marie are exceptional hosts, more than just welcoming, they are extremely grateful to have people around. The place is beautiful, and they are plenty of places to visit around within an hour drive. Everything is clean and comfortable, we loved it so much that we decided to stop again on for another night during our trip!

Alison and Marie were very welcoming and regularly checked in with us to make sure we were doing well and had everything we needed.
They keep their sites very well spaced out for lots of privacy.
There is also a nice communal covered area with games and cards.

We had a wonderful stay at Alison and Marie’s land ! We were warmly welcomed and we met Marie who is incredibly kind, attentive and accommodating - even though we arrived late. She gave us precious tips to help us discover the area ! The land is spacious and despite being several sites, we still had privacy. Our spot was comfortable, shaded and exactly as shown in the photos. The location is ideal, just a few minutes from the ferry to Picton. I highly recommend this place :)

Thank you Marie and Alison for making our all too short stay just wonderful! We enjoyed our time at your farm so much! This is our first experience with Hipcamp so weren't really sure what to expect. We were just looking for a place to stay during a geocaching event but our Hipcamp hosts went above and beyond to make it so much more! Not only have we found ourselves a new "home base" when we're in the area, but we feel like we've found new friends.
The RV site is great! Closest site to the road but there is very little traffic. All in all much quieter than a Provincial Park campsite. The other sites are scattered around the perimeter of the property so they're far enough away that you can't really hear anything from them. This site was great because you have a really good view of the open area (great for stargazing) and the vegetable garden (take a tour of that with Marie or Alison). They have a beautiful lighted Gazebo and fire pit in the middle if you'd like to gather with other campers for games or a bit of social time. They've done a massive amount of work to make their camp comfortable and cozy and seem to always have an eye to what they can improve (although I thought it was pretty much perfect).
Thanks again Alison & Marie! We just got home last night and enjoyed ourselves so much we're already planning our next trip back!

Camping at Alison and Marie’s was truly one of our best trips! They’ve done an incredible job caring for this little piece of paradise. The location is perfect—just minutes from the Prince Edward Ferry and a public boat launch where we could take a refreshing dip.
The campground itself is well organized and thoughtfully equipped. We loved relaxing in the lighted communal pavilion, appreciated the spotless bathroom, and were thrilled to find a stargazing spot where we could soak in the night sky. Their garden, bursting with organic fruits and vegetables, was such a delight, and their organic honey is hands down the best we’ve ever tasted.
One of the highlights was spending time with their dwarf goats—absolutely adorable, as playful and joyful as puppies! Alison and Marie were also fantastic hosts. They welcomed us warmly, gave us helpful instructions about the area, and shared amazing local recommendations. Thanks to them, we even found a quiet beach that felt as stunning as a provincial park—except it was completely free and all ours to enjoy.
We had an unforgettable time camping here and can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Alison and Marie, for sharing your paradise with us!

Back for our second time here with Marie and Alyson—honestly, these two are absolute gems! The vibe is so peaceful, and everyone here is super respectful. It’s the kind of place where you can stop for just one night… but you’ll probably want to stay for days (like we did!). Huge thanks to Marie and Alyson for making our stay amazing once again. We’re already counting down the days until we’re back next year

Le site de camping sweet escape était génial: l’espace, le calme, la petite ferme et la table commune. Les hôtes sont sociables, serviables et chaleureuses! Elles nous suggèrent et conseillent au besoins pour les attractions du coin. Elles semblent réellement heureuse de partager leur espace avec des campeurs!! Nous avons une tente sur le toit de notre voiture et avons louer l’espace RV. Pit à feu, table à picnic, ombrage, soleil, poules et chèvres font de cet endroit un espace chouette où y loger.

A truly wonderful place to stay. We received a truly warm welcome. The ladies couldn't stop talking; we quickly went to see the sunset with their transport. Afterwards, we received a lovely welcome gift. A truly beautiful, cozy place. Highly recommended!
We also received a lot of information about what we could still see in the area. We saw some beautiful things based on the hostesses' advice.

Alison and Marie have created an inviting space that is well-cared for and clean. From the first minute meeting them, it felt like I was re-connecting with friends. Very warm and personable. The location is a very short distance to the Glenora ferry, if a visit to Picton is on your agenda, and close enough to other towns if you require more provisions.

Lovely spot that included mature trees to provide shade when needed (which we did). The two hosts are very thoughtful and work hard to make sure that camping here is welcoming and enjoyable. We would go back in a heartbeat. The site came with a picnic table and fire pit; both very welcome. The surrounding area is mostly farming and some houses and services for the small hamlet. It is a blend of rural quiet and the comings and goings of a mixed farming community. The location is fabulous. As two women looking for base to cycle, hike and explore, we found Alison’s place to be ideal. It is close to Prince Edward County, and to the beautiful ( if overlooked) gems of Lennox and Addington county. It’s a great jumping off point.

We spent two nights at this beautiful campground and it was a wonderful experience. The place is peaceful and very well maintained. The welcome was warm, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. My daughter especially loved feeding the goats — it was such a fun and memorable moment for her. Their property title is just absolutely accurate- this well and truly was a sweet escape. Alison was the most welcoming, accommodating, and lovely host- we were so sad to say goodbye.
Her property is beautiful, tranquil, homey, and had everything we needed. We stayed at the creek side site, loved every single second, and wished we were staying far longer. Can’t recommend enough!!!!
Bonus: it’s a next level stargazing location!

We had a wonderful stay with Alison and Marie, who are both very friendly and welcoming. The sites are spacious, giving us plenty of room. They are just a very short walk from the car, and Marie even helped us bring our luggage using her tractor. There’s a picnic table and a fire pit, plus lots of trees providing shade.
It’s a great location if you want to avoid the expensive hotel rates in PEC. Very accessible, and the ferry is right nearby.
Note that there is no access to water, and therefore no showers. This is clearly mentioned in the listing, but it's important to keep in mind before booking.

Every aspect of our week long stay was as promised.
Their 30 amp hydro capability was a welcome enhancement to our 21’ trailer needs :)

We had a wonderful time staying on Alison and Marie’s property. They were very welcoming and kind. Our private camp site was located a short distance from the parking area in a clearing underneath white pines. Sunsets and stargazing were a few of the highlights of this location. Upon arrival they utilized their tractor to assist us in bringing over our tent and supplies which was very convenient. Our campsite was equipped with a picnic table + fire pit. the camping grounds included a communal gazebo, garbages and porta-potty which was very clean and stocked. We enjoyed various activities in the area. The Glenora Ferry is a short drive from the campsite and takes you over to where you can drive to The Sandbanks (40 minute trip in total). We also made it to Kingston and visited The Penitentiary (55 minute drive). There are countless vineyards and cideries in the area. Across the road from the camp at the Fire Hall there is a good size park for children. Numerous historical buildings / plaques around and you will also be very close to a boat launch where fishing and swimming is welcomed. We highly recommend this camp for couples, families and friends alike.

Alison and Marie are pure sweethearts. Their land is beautiful and so welcoming. We spent 2 days in the area... would've stayed a week :) cute lake very close by and nice villages around too. Their farm is super cute! For animal lovers you can get your dose of zootherapy.

My 17 year old daughter and her boyfriend spent the day at Sandbanks and then went to Sweet Escape for a night of camping. They really appreciated Marie and Alison, they were greeted with a lot of kindness and care!
The hosts even helped them to put a tarp over their tent since they forgot to bring one (and rain was in the forecast). They even shared some veggies from their farm, what a nice attention.
Very nice site, my daughter also appreciated the goats!
Marie greeted them in French and Alison was really quick in responding to any questions I had through the site chat; a big thank you for taking care of them! And yes, this is a destination I am adding to my bucket list. Take care!
