This simple, clean, dry, and neat bunkie is comfortable and has a history of providing fantastic sleeping conditions with guests saying they had their best sleep in it. There are windows at the front and back providing a cross-breeze, assisted by a fan. The bunkie has electricity and lighting and can be used as a workspace. This location is ideal for paddlers, swimmers, hikers, artists, writers, and those interested in the additional comforts of a cabin rather than tent camping. The cabin pictured is in the middle of a private 5-acre property across from Turtle Lake and spans turtle lake road, to Donnelly and Poke Road, so it’s easily defined by the roads around the land. There is no direct access to the lake, but there are many lakes and beaches within a short drive. There are also many quaint towns to visit, beautiful hiking trails to explore all nearby. The main floor has a pull-out double bed, and the loft has 2 sets of bunk beds, ideal for kids. The bathroom facility is a newly built very airy eco-outhouse - you will be pleasantly surprised! There is a sink to wash up, and an outdoor shower, but for now, only cold water is available. This an ideal family getaway or a romantic getaway, I look forward to hosting you!

Stay here for a day or a week, this off-grid little resort has all the necessities that one would need, and make you want to come back again! These 3 off-grid log cabins, providing a highly private setting. Explore the various trails for hiking, mountain biking, and even a small white water creek. Each cabin features either two single beds or one king-size bed. Cabins are insulated but have no heat so bring own pillows, blankets and sleeping bags. Accommodation is limited to two adults per cabin. Common areas for all cabins include: 1) Outdoor Kitchen (includes pots, pans, dishes, cups, utensils etc.), 2) Freezer/Fridge, 3) BBQ, 4) Indoor Shower (hot and cold water), 5) Outdoor Shower (hot and cold water) and 6) Toilet/Outhouse with running cold water. There is no direct access to the lake, but there are many lakes and beaches within a short drive. There are also many quaint towns to visit, beautiful hiking trails to explore all nearby. The main floor has a pull-out double bed, and the loft has 2 sets of bunk beds, ideal for kids. The bathroom facility is a newly built very airy eco-outhouse - you will be pleasantly surprised! The cabin was charming and cozy, it came with various board games to pass the time and a telescope to enjoy the stars at night. The hammocks or what my partner and I call the nest was relaxing. We also had a golden retriever visit us on our 2nd and last day in the cabin. She was very friendly. If ever she does wander off on your visit, its the neighbor's dog, she is not lost, she's just enjoying the nature like the rest of us.

My wife and I spent Thanksgiving weekend at Sabrina’s cabin and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute drive from Rosseau, where we found a fantastic general store that had everything we needed (including firewood). We took our dogs to a nearby beach, grabbed great pizza at Rosseau Pizzeria on the boardwalk, treated ourselves to gelato, and browsed a charming antique shop in town. The cabin itself was amazing—extremely clean, cozy, and full of personality. Sabrina has thought of everything: a full-sized fridge, coffee maker, electric heater that kept the cabin nice and toasty, and even a whole upper loft we didn’t end up needing because the pullout couch on the main floor was perfect for us. Our big dog and mini poodle had plenty of space to stretch out too. The outhouse was surprisingly spacious and spotless, stocked with toilet paper and featuring a working sink with running water both inside and outside for washing dishes. We spent most of our time by the fire pit, which was large enough for a group and surrounded by ample seating. Between the two wooden picnic tables, the big deck, and the covered area with hammocks, there were endless spots to relax, cook, and enjoy the outdoors. Even though the cabin is just off a road, the trees and forest create a real sense of seclusion and peace—you quickly forget there’s any traffic nearby. Sabrina was extremely kind and welcoming, and we couldn’t have asked for a better host. We’d happily come back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Derrick and Rachel's place! It was everything we dreamed of. The place is private, quiet and you are able to fully relax here. The Dome is beautiful, set high with gorgeous lake views. It is clean, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. They have every amenity you require, and excellent seating areas outside (around the fire, and at the dock). The available kayak, canoe and paddleboards allows you to fully enjoy the property. The sauna/shower was such a nice touch and a great way to unwind at the end of the day. If you are looking for a hidden gem, slice or paradise, or the perfect getaway this is your place! Rachel was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend.

The Mitziville team was incredibly welcoming and accommodating — thanks to them, I was able to organize a surprise birthday celebration for my husband and bring together our big group of friends. We were absolutely thrilled with our spot: a spacious area with several fire pits, a provided toilet, and picnic tables. It felt private and peaceful since the nearby sites were set far apart. It’s one of those rare moments when you stumble upon a hidden gem. The nature was stunning, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. Compared to most campground sites this is a nice private spot. The quiet river makes a beautiful view and I appreciated the free kayak available with the site. Check in was easy and friendly. There is a public area beside the site which meant there are occasionally people near by but it wasn’t a problem. At other times it was very quiet.

As noted previously, guests must access the island by water. *WE DO NOT PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION TO THE ISLAND*. There are a few marinas that may rent transportation if you do not have any yourself. On Saturdays, don’t miss the Powassan Farmers’ Market (9am–1pm) for produce, meats, baked goods, preserves, and handmade treasures. And if you take the scenic route, you’ll pass farmstands in every direction — most on the honour system, stocked with whatever the land’s giving that week. You won’t find bells and whistles here — but if you’re after quiet land, fresh air, and a patch of ground to pitch your tent, we’d love to host you. We’re growing slowly and simply — like good things should. Kids under 13 stay free, because around here, growing is kind of the point. This "Cozy Cabin" sleeps 4 in beds comfortably, however someone may sleep on the couch or pitch tents on the property or by the water. Located on a 1 acre property on Magnetawan River in Dunchurch, Ontario this little piece of heaven is a separate area in front of our cottage and should be used as a "glamping experience" on water. We love to host people for time away in the fresh forest country air. Many enjoy their time here hiking, fishing or just hanging out reading a book, playing some games or relaxing. You are more than welcome to use our canoe and kayaks, just be sure to wear life jackets, your safety is a priority to us. Dunchurch is well known for its amazing trails such as the Wild Cat ATV Trail only 10 mins from the front door of the Cabin. We are happy to allow you to use the area at your leisure however, please note you must have your own ATV’s and insurance for riding recreational/motorized vehicles, we do not provide coverage for this. If you are considering guides for ATV Trail riding, please let us know. We are happy to make separate bookings for this on weekdays or even weekends. There is an Outhouse just steps from the Cozy Cabin front door to be used for your bathroom needs (just note there is no running water in either the Outhouse or the Cabin). There is a wash station beside the Outhouse for cleaning up, washing dishes or meal prep. Loads of private parking for vehicle(s), recreational toys or other. Inside the Cabin is a queen bed and twin bunks, down filled couch, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, bar size fridge and some games are included for your enjoyment. Be sure to bring along bedding (including pillow cases) and anything else you would bring along camping. Outside the Cabin is a fire pit (bring along firewood wood), charcoal bbque (bring along charcoal), waterfront/beach, a community park a min walking distance away for play time (sand volleyball court, swing set). Wifi, TV and Fire Stick provided. Wake up in the morning and enjoy your own porch with rocking chairs to watch the sun come up. We are only 30 mins to Parry Sound for all your amenities. Dunchurch also has Whitestone Lake with Public swimming, boat launch and Community Centre, LCBO, Nurses Station and Conveniences which is only 10 mins away. Whitestone is also well known for 11 lakes within a 5 km radius of the property. Just a wee reminder of what's Included/Excluded: Excluded: Life jackets, bath/kitchen towels, dishes/cups/mugs/utensils, cooking tools, paper towels, garbage bags, bedding (sheets, pillow cases, etc), cleaning supplies, charcoal for the bbque, firewood, lighters or recreational toys. . Included: Coffee maker, kettle, toaster, bar size fridge, internet, tv, fire stick, bbque (bring charcoal), private parking, fire pit (bring firewood) and complimentary use of the waterfront, kayak(s), canoe and community park. Just a reminder to bring lots of drinking water. There is a FREE fill station in Dunchurch at the side of the Community Centre if you require more, just bring along your bottles. For more adventures: Although you will not see bookings available in the calendar, we are open to hosting guests that are interested in ATV guided rides and experiences. Just reach out. We suggest you also take a look on any map for great places to visit such as Burks Falls, Magnetawan, Killbear and Algonquin Park. Cranberry Camp is located 6 kms past the village of Pointe au Baril. It’s surrounded by Ontario native forest (the “bush”) and wetlands in the hinterlands of Georgian Bay. We are 3kms from Sturgeon bay Provincial Park (a nice beach!) and 3kms from the Bayfield Inlet public launch on Georgian Bay (visit the iconic pink rocks and windswept trees of Georgian Bay). We help people create healthy homes and buildings and sought fresh air and clean water to host workshops and retreats. The property has a small house, a guest lodge for retreats, 2 lovely and private recreational vehicles (a 24’ Jayco & a 27’ Cougar) as well as a tiny home. All spaces are scent-free, low VOC and no WiFi. Hipcamp sites are on hard-packed dirt/gravel on a driveway that runs parallel to the road in front of the former restaurant. There is a composting toilet. We love to host people getting away from the city or taking exploratory road trips. There is water access near here for canoes, kayaks and other boats. Our secondary highway (ON 529) is fairly quiet and decent for cycling. (It's very quietnorth of the ON529A turn-off!). In the spring and fall there is a nice trail through the woods.

We have 4.4 acres of land on a spring fed lake. (Even though it is spring fed the water is warm for swimming.) We are located between Trout Creek and Port Loring on Hwy 522. We have 3 vintage trailers, each with a slightly different experience. Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, swimming and fishing. We also have a 4 person paddle boat. Bring water shoes if you have them. The water edge is in it's natural state. The trailers come fully equipped. You need only bring food, bedding and 1 pound propane tanks to use the small barbeque. Our property is off the electric grid. The trailers have fridges and stoves powered by propane and the lights are powered by battery recharged with solar panels. We do not at this time have running water and the toilets are clean outhouses - not stinky and disgusting. We have a couple of small docks and you can fish right from the dock. If you are a bird lover you will enjoy watching the blue heron and hearing the loons and frogs sing at night. This property often experiences spectacular sun sets.
