Our remote off grid property in the forest east of Eagle Lake is a great place to disconnect and decompress. The roadside Bunkie sleeps 2 comfortably and can accommodate a RV trailer or tent as well. Pets are welcome.  The property has a pit toilet, and campfires are allowed in the designated pit. There is also potable water in the bin with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. In the winter water would have to be stored inside. Linen not provided. You’ll wake up surrounded by trees and can explore the great hiking, nature viewing, atv trails and boating in the summer months. In the winter enjoy glaming in the propane heated bunkie, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snow machine trails at the door. Wildlife is all around.  Several lakes and parks are nearby, including Mikisew Provincial Park on Eagle Lake, about 20 km south, where you can go boating, paddling, or swimming and Algonquin Provincial Park is close as well with many lakes and hiking trails. Some restaurants and stores can be found in the South River, about 20 km away.

I live on 8.25 acres of level fairly open land. 10 min NE of South River The campground is about 3 acres, with 3 sites Beside a small lake, Wendigo Lake, with a wide creek exiting the lake . Paddling distance to 2 other lakes that feed into Wendigo lake. very quiet, private place, stress free, excellent for relaxing, great place for staging daytrips, safe if you want to do a few days in Algonquin Park. dogs and pets welcome, but must be leashed on the property. I have a friendly dog Penny. the sunsets here are awesome, see pics Located only 12 kms from West entrance to Algonquin Park. Dark skies and fairly open area for stargazing. Many walking trails close by . ATV trails and tours nearby also. Bird migration route, excellent for bird watching. In my 10 yrs here I have seen 97 different species of birds on the property or flying over. Very private, closest neighbor 3/4 km away. Bring your own camp toilet please.

Camping Areas and Privacy The campground is divided into three distinct camping areas: • Meadow • Lakeside • Shield The lakeside hosts up to 4 groups, the meadow up to 5, and the Shield a single group. Depending on current bookings, several groups may be staying on the property at the same time. The campsites are thoughtfully spaced to provide guests with comfortable personal space and a good degree of privacy. However, booking an individual campsite does not include exclusive use of the entire 44-acre property or the lake. The lake, forest trails, Crown land access routes and certain common outdoor areas may be shared with other registered campground guests. Because the property is large and the three camping areas each have their own landscape and atmosphere, guests can normally enjoy a peaceful, spacious and uncrowded outdoor experience even when other groups are staying on the property. Guests who would like exclusive use of the entire campground for their family or group are welcome to contact the host before booking. Depending on availability, group size and specific requirements, dates and pricing for a private campground booking can be arranged separately. The Lake A secluded 10-acre inland lake borders the property and is especially beautiful during the spring and fall. There is no public road or public boat launch directly on the lake, so the setting is normally quiet and undisturbed. Although the lake cannot be reached by a public road or public boat launch, other registered campground guests may also use it. Unless exclusive use of the entire campground has been arranged in advance, the lake is not reserved for any one individual campsite or group. Lake conditions change naturally with the seasons. During the warmest part of summer—most commonly in July and August—floating aquatic vegetation and duckweed may accumulate along the shoreline closest to the campground. When this occurs, the immediate campground shoreline is not suitable for swimming or launching a boat. Clearer, more open water can generally be found approximately 150 metres farther along the shoreline. Guests whose main priority is swimming, paddling or boating should plan to use nearby Killbear Provincial Park or Georgian Bay, where excellent public water-access options are available. A 12-foot aluminum boat with a four-stroke motor may be available to rent when lake conditions permit. The rental fee is $60 per day, including fuel. Please confirm availability and lake conditions before booking the boat. Who This Campground Is For This property is especially well suited to couples, families and independent outdoor travellers looking for: • Quiet surroundings and generous personal space • A large natural property to explore • Hiking, wildlife watching and stargazing • Campfires and relaxed time outdoors • Beautiful meadow and ranch views • Convenient access to Killbear Provincial Park, Georgian Bay and Parry Sound This is a natural wilderness property rather than a developed beach or resort. Access, Shared Areas and Respect for the Land The lake is bordered by our private property and adjoining Crown land, with no public road or public boat launch directly on the water. The area is secluded and normally very quiet. However, Crown land remains publicly accessible, and several groups may be staying at the campground at the same time. Complete exclusivity of the lake, trails or property therefore cannot be guaranteed unless private use of the entire campground has been arranged with the host in advance. We've opened up a few small lots and tenting spaces for those prepared to nature-camp in genuine, rich Muskoka wilderness. Development is ongoing; planned for years, and we're now opening up the scenic trails and carefully putting in deeply natural sitings for tents from small to large. We also love to hear suggestions on how things could be enhanced or added to the experience. A mini-lake is hidden amidst high cliffs along the center of the property. Very scenic, but very wild. Hidden way back in "the north forty", in a steep, rocky valley, are some small caves that can be toured in about an hour. If you're looking for serious swimming, small boating or SUP'ing, etc., there's a large, calm beautiful 106-acre lake with open-access-beaches just 2 km (4 minutes) away. And for a tennis court, basketball practice court, ballpark, soccer field, kids' playground and simple recreational stuff, the Community Park is just over 3 km (6 minutes) away. Go nuts with recreational activity, or - chill in the meditative quiet of your private tent or cabin site or - wilderness-walk for 6 or 7 km north exploring local trails, vales and interesting ancient geography. Your call! Camping sites are typically about 25' x 35' , ringed by lines of birch and white logs to mark their boundaries; some a little more "wild" than others. And, the outhouses/pit-toilets are very civilized; make sure to bring your favourite toilet paper just in case the regular supply runs out unexpectedly. The aim of RUFFINIT (the overall property is just over a kilometer long) is to provide a high degree of privacy, calm and some relaxing hammock time if desired (HIDEAWAY sites), or some space for "co-camping" with friends around a shared central space (GREENRING sites). Our campsites are large and a minimum of 50 feet between sites, some even 75′. You can see pictures of each campsite on our booking page and it will give you specific information about the size and what each site can accommodate. Also look here for specifics about each of our cabins and trailers which are all pet friendly. There is a map of the campground in the photos of each site /cabin/trailer, so you can locate where your stay will be.

Welcome to Restoule! We have 60 acres of very private camping. Our land is a bird watcher’s and nature lover’s paradise. We have loads of trails and a 2500ft canal that leads to Commanda lake. There is an abundant amount of wildlife to explore: birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and mammals. The site is well maintained and the forest is quiet and beautiful. Guests can enjoy hiking, biking, wildlife watching, and so much more! Our property is family and pet friendly, designed specifically for those who really enjoy camping without 1500 neighbors and a fun o'clock switch. I live on the canal trail half way to the lake. The campsite is on the opposite side of the property.

The cabin is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need, so you can simply bring your clothes and enjoy your stay. Cari is such a warm and accommodating host. 14 nights at Peaceful Off-Grid Cabin Retreat

We truly enjoyed the time of solitude we had at this family owned off-grid-cabin in the woods. There was plenty of potable water, stove to keep us warm, indoor compostable toilet, good cell reception to our surprise, close to local stores for groceries, a very cool outdoor shower available, and comfy bed. All we needed to do was bring our food and clothes! We saw a deer on the road on the way in, not far from the cabin and the birds each morning loved to sing their songs. A place to have beautiful walks. A real taste of nature. We could not deny hearing the juvenile great horned owl during the night awaiting for their mother to bring a rodent! Thank you to Cari, for the great hospitality in providing a quiet place to relax and refresh!

Weekend Trip to CREEKSIDE Camp

Site 3. We loved it. Great creek side setting, exceptional views, awesome water access and sunsets. The stars were amazing so dark. The sites are large and very clean plenty of space. The peacefulness and vibe of the property really stood out for us. Trails were good for exploring. Lots of mushrooms. With no services and completely off grid it was the perfect opportunity to unplug and get away from the noise. Dan the host was fantastic. Super chill vibe and made us feel very welcome. We wanted for nothing. Penny his dog is so sweet. We were sad to leave but our adventure took us further in the bush to some great lakes for paddling and enjoying the rest of our holidays. We will be back!

Sheila’s place is gorgeous - she has a beautiful spot on the river. We kayaked to both waterfalls and all the neighbouring folks on the river were really kind. The outhouse was clean and fire-pit is well maintained. We set up our tent just above the deck platform and enjoyed some stargazing both nights! Sheila’s instructions were clear and we had no issues!

I loved camping at Coutts Farm with my friends for a weekend mid September, the site was huge, tons of space for vehicles and tents. Right on Three Mile Lake, with Canoes, Picnic table, Fire pit, out house, a private beach and a beautiful view of the 120 acre property. This site really has it all, me and my friends have been camping together for 12 seasons, and we can all agree that this site was one of our favorites. We will be booking again next year! Thank you for an amazing experience!
