Learn more about this land: Come and camp on beautiful Eagle Lake with approximately 120' frontage facing North. The campsites are only steps away from the water’s edge where you can enjoy stunning sunsets. Swimming, fishing and a playground are just across the road. The sites have a raised fire pit to cook your meals and a picnic table for enjoying them. We can provide firewood for $12 a bag, just ask!  These medium sites can accommodate two tents or a small camper with a total of four people. There is a shared outhouse, with flush toilets at the park across the road. Each site has water and electricity, and you can also find a WIFI signal nearby.  Eagle Lake Narrows Country Store is on the same three acre property. There you can rent boat, canoe, kayak, SUP and bicycles. Right across the road is a public beach, perfect for a relaxing day with family or friends. The public beach also is equipped with handy amenities like bathrooms, change rooms, fishing docks, and extra parking.  Eagle Lake is approximately 3 hours from Toronto, just over 4 hours from Ottawa, and less than an hour to Huntsville. It is very close to Algonquin Park.

Paddling distance to 2 other lakes that feed into Wendigo lake. very quiet, private place, stress free, excellent for relaxing, great place for staging daytrips, safe if you want to do a few days in Algonquin Park. dogs and pets welcome, but must be leashed on the property. I have a friendly dog Penny. the sunsets here are awesome, see pics Located only 12 kms from West entrance to Algonquin Park. Dark skies and fairly open area for stargazing. Many walking trails close by . ATV trails and tours nearby also. Bird migration route, excellent for bird watching. In my 10 yrs here I have seen 97 different species of birds on the property or flying over. Very private, closest neighbor 3/4 km away. Bring your own camp toilet please.

Our remote off grid property in the forest east of Eagle Lake is a great place to disconnect and decompress. The roadside Bunkie sleeps 2 comfortably and can accommodate a RV trailer or tent as well. Pets are welcome.  The property has a pit toilet, and campfires are allowed in the designated pit. There is also potable water in the bin with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. In the winter water would have to be stored inside. Linen not provided. You’ll wake up surrounded by trees and can explore the great hiking, nature viewing, atv trails and boating in the summer months. In the winter enjoy glaming in the propane heated bunkie, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snow machine trails at the door. Wildlife is all around.  Several lakes and parks are nearby, including Mikisew Provincial Park on Eagle Lake, about 20 km south, where you can go boating, paddling, or swimming and Algonquin Provincial Park is close as well with many lakes and hiking trails. Some restaurants and stores can be found in the South River, about 20 km away.

Cranberry Camp is located 7 kms past the village of Pointe au Baril. It’s surrounded by Ontario native forest (the “bush”) and wetlands in the hinterlands of Georgian Bay. We love to share this beautiful part of the world with visitors! We are 3kms from Sturgeon bay Provincial Park (a nice beach!) and 3kms from the Bayfield Inlet public launch on Georgian Bay (visit the iconic pink rocks and windswept trees of Georgian Bay). We came to this area because of the fresh air and clean water. Visitors to the area should be aware that you cannot see any of the Georgian Bay coastline from the highway or roads. We highly recommend you get out on the water in a boat of some kind (there is water access near here for canoes, kayaks and other boats). We also recommend that visitors go to the French River Provincial Park to understand the unique history and culture of the area. That park is 35-40 min north from here and has a lovely small museum/interpretive centre and a footbridge over the French River. This secondary highway (ON 529) is fairly quiet and decent for cycling. It's very quiet north of the ON 529A turn-off! Cranberry Camp also has a small house, a guest lodge for retreats (we host healthy living and healthy building workshops), 2 lovely and private recreational vehicles (a 24’ Jayco and a 27’ Cougar) as well as a tiny home. All spaces are scent-free, low VOC and no WiFi. We help people create healthy homes and buildings. Hipcamp sites are accessed from hard-packed dirt/gravel driveway either perpendicular or parallel to the road. An outhouse contains a composting toilet (using the Humanure system), a solar light and jug of water for handwashing. We love to host people getting away from the city or taking exploratory road trips.

Kim was great from the second we arrived! She got us checked in, explained everything and even gave some tips on nearby trails! Campsite was private and away from other sites and had SO much wildlife around, even had a moose stroll past and Kim snapped some pics! Washrooms were very clean, my son even made a point that they always smelt good. We took a stroll to the park as well as the shop and grabbed some ice cream. They delivered the wood to our site for us as well and picked up the crates when empty. We were already discussing our return while visiting. On our last night there was horrible weather. We woke up in a pool of water (our own fault. The tarps were not strapped down properly) and she came to check on us first thing in the morning and even said we could stay as long as needed to get everything dried and packed up. 10/10 recommend for families and campers. There’s a Foodland about 10 minutes away for anything forgotten. High Rock lookout is about 12 minutes away and there’s so many cute fishing spots as well as the cascades not far if you want to sight see more off the grounds.

Weekend Trip to Tait's Island Retreat- Private Camp

Safe, quiet (other than very welcome, distant cottage-y sounds, birds, frogs). The property is a few minutes from McKellar and only about 20 min from Parry Sound, so a nice location if you feel like exploring. I just needed some solitude and this fit the bill. Antonino is super helpful and responsive.

Weekend Trip to Off -Grid Forest Retreat

It was amazing! The bunkie was adorable and even in the middle of winter they accommodated. In the winter months the access road turns into an OSFC trail! That was a bit of a shocker but we made it and it seems as though Michelle keeps it fairly maintained up until the bunkie, so thank you. Also looks like Theres a lot more to offer when Theres no snow. Definitely coming back in the summer

We made a last minute decision to spend Christmas in the woods. Dan pulled through with an amazing site and experience. A great property with an amazing history in Charcoal production. The site was everything we needed, fire pit, beautiful surrounding, peace and quiet. We will definitely be returning in the Spring.

A beautiful, private spot to relax and unwind! Sara was a wonderful host and made our stay so comfortable! The property is absolutely beautiful and the cabin was exactly what we needed for a weekend away to dissconnect & connect with each other! The dog also loved it! :)
