The property includes 500 feet of waterfront and is about 2 acres in total. There is plenty of room for parking. The driveway is steep and curved and just requires being cautious. If you prefer power boats and seadoos these can be rented at a nearby marina. This simple, clean, dry, and neat bunkie is comfortable and has a history of providing fantastic sleeping conditions with guests saying they had their best sleep in it. There are windows at the front and back providing a cross-breeze, assisted by a fan. The bunkie has electricity and lighting and can be used as a workspace. This location is ideal for paddlers, swimmers, hikers, artists, writers, and those interested in the additional comforts of a cabin rather than tent camping. The Chickadee Cabin is completely off-grid. There is no electricity, no indoor running water, and no internet. The cabin is an ongoing project; however, it is well equipped for a comfortable and relaxing stay for adventure seekers and peace-and-quiet lovers who don’t mind roughing it just a little. Lighting is provided by three propane lights (two in the kitchen area and one in the downstairs bedroom). An assortment of quality LED rechargeable lamps is also available for lighting the upstairs bedroom. A full solar system is planned for spring/summer 2026. In the meantime, several battery-operated options help make the cabin feel almost like it has electricity. A Bluetti AC70 power station is available to power and charge low-draw devices such as cell phones, tablets, portable DVD players, AC lamps, and a Nintendo Switch. The cabin also has an AM/FM radio that receives several clear stations. There is a 16-inch portable DVD player with a small collection of classic movies. The cabin is heated with a wood stove, and all firewood for indoor heating is provided. Guests are kindly asked to bring their own bagged firewood if they plan to use the outdoor fire pit. Bagged firewood is available at local general stores. Cooking is done on a propane stove with four burners and an oven. The kitchen is stocked with basic essentials, including utensils, pots and pans, and dishes. There is currently no refrigerator (planned with the solar system), but a cooler is provided for keeping food cold. During winter, frozen items can also be stored outdoors. An outdoor outhouse serves as the toilet. The cabin is located at the end of a roughly 300-foot laneway. Winter access is by walking or snowshoeing. Multiple pairs of snowshoes are available to borrow, and a toboggan is provided for hauling gear. Parking is available at the beginning of the laneway, just off the road. The walk in takes only a couple of minutes and is manageable for anyone of reasonable fitness. This is a general overview—please feel free to ask any questions.

Many walking trails close by . ATV trails and tours nearby also. Bird migration route, excellent for bird watching. In my 10 yrs here I have seen 97 different species of birds on the property or flying over. Very private, closest neighbor 3/4 km away. Bring your own camp toilet please.

Learn more about this land: Come and camp on beautiful Eagle Lake with approximately 120' frontage facing North. The campsites are only steps away from the water’s edge where you can enjoy stunning sunsets. Swimming, fishing and a playground are just across the road. The sites have a raised fire pit to cook your meals and a picnic table for enjoying them. We can provide firewood for $12 a bag, just ask!  These medium sites can accommodate two tents or a small camper with a total of four people. There is a shared outhouse, with flush toilets at the park across the road. Each site has water and electricity, and you can also find a WIFI signal nearby.  Eagle Lake Narrows Country Store is on the same three acre property. There you can rent boat, canoe, kayak, SUP and bicycles. Right across the road is a public beach, perfect for a relaxing day with family or friends. The public beach also is equipped with handy amenities like bathrooms, change rooms, fishing docks, and extra parking.  Eagle Lake is approximately 3 hours from Toronto, just over 4 hours from Ottawa, and less than an hour to Huntsville. The cabin pictured is in the middle of a private 5-acre property across from Turtle Lake and spans turtle lake road, to Donnelly and Poke Road, so it’s easily defined by the roads around the land. There is no direct access to the lake, but there are many lakes and beaches within a short drive. There are also many quaint towns to visit, beautiful hiking trails to explore all nearby. The main floor has a pull-out double bed, and the loft has 2 sets of bunk beds, ideal for kids. The bathroom facility is a newly built very airy eco-outhouse - you will be pleasantly surprised! There is a sink to wash up, and an outdoor shower, but for now, only cold water is available. This an ideal family getaway or a romantic getaway, I look forward to hosting you!

The Chickadee Cabin is completely off-grid. There is no electricity, no indoor running water, and no internet. The cabin is an ongoing project; however, it is well equipped for a comfortable and relaxing stay for adventure seekers and peace-and-quiet lovers who don’t mind roughing it just a little. Lighting is provided by three propane lights (two in the kitchen area and one in the downstairs bedroom). An assortment of quality LED rechargeable lamps is also available for lighting the upstairs bedroom. A full solar system is planned for spring/summer 2026. In the meantime, several battery-operated options help make the cabin feel almost like it has electricity. A Bluetti AC70 power station is available to power and charge low-draw devices such as cell phones, tablets, portable DVD players, AC lamps, and a Nintendo Switch. The cabin also has an AM/FM radio that receives several clear stations. There is a 16-inch portable DVD player with a small collection of classic movies. The cabin is heated with a wood stove, and all firewood for indoor heating is provided. Guests are kindly asked to bring their own bagged firewood if they plan to use the outdoor fire pit. Bagged firewood is available at local general stores. Cooking is done on a propane stove with four burners and an oven. The kitchen is stocked with basic essentials, including utensils, pots and pans, and dishes. There is currently no refrigerator (planned with the solar system), but a cooler is provided for keeping food cold. During winter, frozen items can also be stored outdoors. An outdoor outhouse serves as the toilet. The cabin is located at the end of a roughly 300-foot laneway. Winter access is by walking or snowshoeing. Multiple pairs of snowshoes are available to borrow, and a toboggan is provided for hauling gear. Parking is available at the beginning of the laneway, just off the road. The walk in takes only a couple of minutes and is manageable for anyone of reasonable fitness. This is a general overview—please feel free to ask any questions.

There is no direct access to the lake, but there are many lakes and beaches within a short drive. There are also many quaint towns to visit, beautiful hiking trails to explore all nearby. The main floor has a pull-out double bed, and the loft has 2 sets of bunk beds, ideal for kids. The bathroom facility is a newly built very airy eco-outhouse - you will be pleasantly surprised! There are two cabins now on the property, but one is brand new and private and not accessible- it will be vacant for your stay. There is also a private sauna, but is also not accessible. The cabin pictured is in the middle of a private 5-acre property across from Turtle Lake and spans turtle lake road, to Donnelly and Poke Road, so it’s easily defined by the roads around the land. There is no direct access to the lake, but there are many lakes and beaches within a short drive. There are also many quaint towns to visit, beautiful hiking trails to explore all nearby. The main floor has a pull-out double bed, and the loft has 2 sets of bunk beds, ideal for kids. The bathroom facility is a newly built very airy eco-outhouse - you will be pleasantly surprised! The cabin was charming and cozy, it came with various board games to pass the time and a telescope to enjoy the stars at night. The hammocks or what my partner and I call the nest was relaxing. We also had a golden retriever visit us on our 2nd and last day in the cabin. She was very friendly. If ever she does wander off on your visit, its the neighbor's dog, she is not lost, she's just enjoying the nature like the rest of us.

My wife and I spent Thanksgiving weekend at Sabrina’s cabin and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute drive from Rosseau, where we found a fantastic general store that had everything we needed (including firewood). We took our dogs to a nearby beach, grabbed great pizza at Rosseau Pizzeria on the boardwalk, treated ourselves to gelato, and browsed a charming antique shop in town. The cabin itself was amazing—extremely clean, cozy, and full of personality. Sabrina has thought of everything: a full-sized fridge, coffee maker, electric heater that kept the cabin nice and toasty, and even a whole upper loft we didn’t end up needing because the pullout couch on the main floor was perfect for us. Our big dog and mini poodle had plenty of space to stretch out too. The outhouse was surprisingly spacious and spotless, stocked with toilet paper and featuring a working sink with running water both inside and outside for washing dishes. We spent most of our time by the fire pit, which was large enough for a group and surrounded by ample seating. Between the two wooden picnic tables, the big deck, and the covered area with hammocks, there were endless spots to relax, cook, and enjoy the outdoors. Even though the cabin is just off a road, the trees and forest create a real sense of seclusion and peace—you quickly forget there’s any traffic nearby. Sabrina was extremely kind and welcoming, and we couldn’t have asked for a better host. We’d happily come back!

I’m truly glad I discovered this place. My friends and I found so much more than we expected. The Mitziville team was incredibly welcoming and accommodating — thanks to them, I was able to organize a surprise birthday celebration for my husband and bring together our big group of friends. We were absolutely thrilled with our spot: a spacious area with several fire pits, a provided toilet, and picnic tables. It felt private and peaceful since the nearby sites were set far apart. It’s one of those rare moments when you stumble upon a hidden gem. The nature was stunning, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. We’ll definitely be back — our group has been looking for a place like this for a long time

Everything about this place was perfect for us! It was easy to find, private and clean. Our site was right on the water with a fire pit and a picnic table. The outhouse was impeccably cleaned and close to our site. We had access to kayaks and a canoe however, we didn't end up having time to use them. Hayley was extremely responsive and friendly. We definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area!

Compared to most campground sites this is a nice private spot. The quiet river makes a beautiful view and I appreciated the free kayak available with the site. Check in was easy and friendly. There is a public area beside the site which meant there are occasionally people near by but it wasn’t a problem. At other times it was very quiet.

This cabin was the perfect little getaway for our artist retreat weekend! It's cozy inside and the space heater works very well! The outside has a lot of fun play structures and hammocks to let out your inner kid (or actual kids) and the twinkle lights add a touch of magic! I have been here a few times now and it keeps getting nicer every time! It shows that there is a lot of care and love that has gone into this place :) I highly recommend checking it out!

Cranberry Camp is located 6 kms past the village of Pointe au Baril. It’s surrounded by Ontario native forest (the “bush”) and wetlands in the hinterlands of Georgian Bay. We are 3kms from Sturgeon bay Provincial Park (a nice beach!) and 3kms from the Bayfield Inlet public launch on Georgian Bay (visit the iconic pink rocks and windswept trees of Georgian Bay). We help people create healthy homes and buildings and sought fresh air and clean water to host workshops and retreats. The property has a small house, a guest lodge for retreats, 2 lovely and private recreational vehicles (a 24’ Jayco & a 27’ Cougar) as well as a tiny home. All spaces are scent-free, low VOC and no WiFi. Hipcamp sites are on hard-packed dirt/gravel on a driveway that runs parallel to the road in front of the former restaurant. There is a composting toilet. We love to host people getting away from the city or taking exploratory road trips. There is water access near here for canoes, kayaks and other boats. Our secondary highway (ON 529) is fairly quiet and decent for cycling. (It's very quietnorth of the ON529A turn-off!). In the spring and fall there is a nice trail through the woods.

Welcome to Sonshine Homestead — a peaceful, back-to-basics camping experience nestled in the quiet forest and brushland of Northern Ontario. Our property offers a growing collection of off-grid tent sites, each tucked among trees, giving you room to breathe and unplug. These are no-frills campsites — no power, no running water, and no built-in amenities (Outhouses near sites). You bring your own gear, and we provide the space, the stillness, and the sky. You’ll wake to birds chirping, the wind through the brush, and maybe a crowing rooster. We have walking trails, two ponds, and lots of open space to explore. Some sites are drive-in, others require a short walk. We’re surrounded by crown land just a short drive away, with trails perfect for hiking or ATVing. Within an hour you’ll find countless lakes for swimming, fishing, paddling, or just floating the day away. The land around us is full of life with cattle, horses, and sheep to mention a few. Sonshine Homestead sits in the heart of a small farming and Amish community, and the local culture reflects that. On Saturdays, don’t miss the Powassan Farmers’ Market (9am–1pm) for produce, meats, baked goods, preserves, and handmade treasures. And if you take the scenic route, you’ll pass farmstands in every direction — most on the honour system, stocked with whatever the land’s giving that week. You won’t find bells and whistles here — but if you’re after quiet land, fresh air, and a patch of ground to pitch your tent, we’d love to host you. We’re growing slowly and simply — like good things should. Kids under 13 stay free, because around here, growing is kind of the point. If you’re a larger family and need a bit more space, just reach out — we’ll do our best to make it work.

Launch your boat or canoe at the Little Doe Lake boat ramp located at the mouth of the Magnetawan river and paddle your way to the campsite, which is approximately 4 to 5 kms downstream of the boat launch. Stay here for a day or a week, this off-grid little resort has all the necessities that one would need, and make you want to come back again! We are excited to offer 3 off-grid log cabins, providing a highly private setting. 20 min to Parry Sound. These cabins are located within 75 acres of forest. Each cabin features either two single beds or one king-size bed. Cabins are insulated but have no heat so bring own pillows, blankets and sleeping bags. Accommodation is limited to two adults per cabin. Common areas for all cabins include: 1) Outdoor Kitchen (includes pots, pans, dishes, cups, utensils etc.), 2) Freezer/Fridge, 3) BBQ, 4) Indoor Shower (hot and cold water), 5) Outdoor Shower (hot and cold water) and 6) Toilet/Outhouse with running cold water. The large BBQ is equipped with 5 burners for the grill. There is also 1 side pot burner for foiling water and another ceramic grilling burner. Additionally, we have three tent spots available, with one designated for each cabin. There is ample parking space for guests. You can enjoy the convenience of a shower with hot water and a BBQ pit. Address is 261 Star Lake rd. Seguin. Its the second driveway when going north on Star lake rd. Look for a sign MAPLE RIVERS LANE. From Hwy 400, get off on hwy 141. Go east towards Rosseau. Turn left at Tally Hoe/Swords, then right at Turtle lake rd and left at Star lake rd. Explore the various trails for hiking, mountain biking, and even a small white water creek. There are plenty of lakes in the surrounding area. Seguin Trail is just 1 km away. A beautiful Maple Key Park and sandy beach awaits you only 4 km from the site. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the nearby historic town of Orrville. Stay here for a day or a week, this off-grid little resort has all the necessities that one would need, and make you want to come back again! These 3 off-grid log cabins, providing a highly private setting. Explore the various trails for hiking, mountain biking, and even a small white water creek. There are plenty of lakes in the surrounding area. Seguin Trail is just 1 km away. Fire wood is all around the forest Pick anything that is down and enjoy the common fire pit. Also a flashlight and some bug spray might help. This is a family oriented camping: 1) Please refrain from using offensive language, 2) Smoking allowed around fire pit only, 3) Please place all cigarette butts in fire pit, 4) Absolutely no candles allowed, (if desired please use insents only!) 5) Parties allowed only upon verbal consent from the management, 6) We have no cleaning fee so please keep your cabin neat and tidy. 7) Before checkout please place all garbage in and around the cabin into main bin located beside the outdoor kitchen. 8) Cabin floor should be swept using broom provided in the cabin.

Paddling distance to 2 other lakes that feed into Wendigo lake. very quiet, private place, stress free, excellent for relaxing, great place for staging daytrips, safe if you want to do a few days in Algonquin Park. dogs and pets welcome, but must be leashed on the property. I have a friendly dog Penny. the sunsets here are awesome, see pics Located only 12 kms from West entrance to Algonquin Park. Dark skies and fairly open area for stargazing. Many walking trails close by . ATV trails and tours nearby also. Bird migration route, excellent for bird watching. In my 10 yrs here I have seen 97 different species of birds on the property or flying over. Very private, closest neighbor 3/4 km away. Bring your own camp toilet please.

There are windows at the front and back providing a cross-breeze, assisted by a fan. The bunkie has electricity and lighting and can be used as a workspace. This location is ideal for paddlers, swimmers, hikers, artists, writers, and those interested in the additional comforts of a cabin rather than tent camping. The Chickadee Cabin is completely off-grid. There is no electricity, no indoor running water, and no internet. The cabin is an ongoing project; however, it is well equipped for a comfortable and relaxing stay for adventure seekers and peace-and-quiet lovers who don’t mind roughing it just a little. Lighting is provided by three propane lights (two in the kitchen area and one in the downstairs bedroom). An assortment of quality LED rechargeable lamps is also available for lighting the upstairs bedroom. A full solar system is planned for spring/summer 2026. In the meantime, several battery-operated options help make the cabin feel almost like it has electricity. A Bluetti AC70 power station is available to power and charge low-draw devices such as cell phones, tablets, portable DVD players, AC lamps, and a Nintendo Switch. The cabin also has an AM/FM radio that receives several clear stations. There is a 16-inch portable DVD player with a small collection of classic movies. The cabin is heated with a wood stove, and all firewood for indoor heating is provided. Guests are kindly asked to bring their own bagged firewood if they plan to use the outdoor fire pit. Bagged firewood is available at local general stores. Cooking is done on a propane stove with four burners and an oven. The kitchen is stocked with basic essentials, including utensils, pots and pans, and dishes. There is currently no refrigerator (planned with the solar system), but a cooler is provided for keeping food cold. During winter, frozen items can also be stored outdoors. An outdoor outhouse serves as the toilet. The cabin is located at the end of a roughly 300-foot laneway. Winter access is by walking or snowshoeing. Multiple pairs of snowshoes are available to borrow, and a toboggan is provided for hauling gear. Parking is available at the beginning of the laneway, just off the road. The walk in takes only a couple of minutes and is manageable for anyone of reasonable fitness. This is a general overview—please feel free to ask any questions.
