We have 4.4 acres of land on a spring fed lake. (Even though it is spring fed the water is warm for swimming.) We are located between Trout Creek and Port Loring on Hwy 522. We have 3 vintage trailers, each with a slightly different experience. Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, swimming and fishing. We also have a 4 person paddle boat. Bring water shoes if you have them. The water edge is in it's natural state. The trailers come fully equipped. You need only bring food, bedding and 1 pound propane tanks to use the small barbeque. Our property is off the electric grid. The trailers have fridges and stoves powered by propane and the lights are powered by battery recharged with solar panels. We do not at this time have running water and the toilets are clean outhouses - not stinky and disgusting. We have a couple of small docks and you can fish right from the dock. If you are a bird lover you will enjoy watching the blue heron and hearing the loons and frogs sing at night. This property often experiences spectacular sun sets. Our remote off grid property in the forest east of Eagle Lake is a great place to disconnect and decompress. The roadside Bunkie sleeps 2 comfortably and can accommodate a RV trailer or tent as well. Pets are welcome.  The property has a pit toilet, and campfires are allowed in the designated pit. There is also potable water in the bin with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. In the winter water would have to be stored inside. Linen not provided. You’ll wake up surrounded by trees and can explore the great hiking, nature viewing, atv trails and boating in the summer months. In the winter enjoy glaming in the propane heated bunkie, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snow machine trails at the door. Wildlife is all around.  Several lakes and parks are nearby, including Mikisew Provincial Park on Eagle Lake, about 20 km south, where you can go boating, paddling, or swimming and Algonquin Provincial Park is close as well with many lakes and hiking trails. The cabin pictured is in the middle of a private 5-acre property across from Turtle Lake and spans turtle lake road, to Donnelly and Poke Road, so it’s easily defined by the roads around the land. There is no direct access to the lake, but there are many lakes and beaches within a short drive. There are also many quaint towns to visit, beautiful hiking trails to explore all nearby. The main floor has a pull-out double bed, and the loft has 2 sets of bunk beds, ideal for kids. The bathroom facility is a newly built very airy eco-outhouse - you will be pleasantly surprised! There is a sink to wash up, and an outdoor shower, but for now, only cold water is available. This an ideal family getaway or a romantic getaway, I look forward to hosting you!

I loved staying at Rachel and Derrick’s glamping dome. The dome felt luxurious, and I also felt like I was submerged in nature. The lake was secluded and crystal clear. This was my first time doing something like this on my own, so my #1 priority was feeling safe, which I 100% felt. I loved every minute of my time there, and I will definitely be returning.

We loved the cosy bunkie, comfy beds and fire pit. Loads of dry wood provided. Wonderful waking up to see peacocks across the way, goats, piggy’s and mini horses stretching in the field while sipping a coffee. Host home is close to the Bunkie so definitely nice when staying on your own. Typical beautiful Huntsville countryside. Very chill stay at the funky bunkie.

The cabin was exactly as described in the listing and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It truly felt like a luxury glamping experience. The last 250 metres leading to the cabin is a bit bumpy, but it’s well worth it. The cabin is secluded, peaceful, and offers plenty of privacy, making it the perfect place to disconnect from city life and immerse yourself in nature. We had an amazing time and would definitely love to come back!

Had a wonderful stay here and a great getaway spot! Everything was thoughtfully set up. Comfortable teepee, screened in gazebo, night time lighting, covered cooking area, sauna, and overall great privacy. Would definitely recommend anyone looking for a glamping experience to stay here. Carrie was an awesome host, ready to answer any questions we had. Plenty of fire wood and even supplied propane for the BBQ.

Totally private, beautiful lake. The dome was super well set, bed was extremely comfortable. Had all the amenities you needed. All we brought was our own food the rest was taken care of. Communication was great. Toilet was very clean, barely any smell for an outhouse. Plenty of fire wood for the duration we were there and potable water. Dock was nice and new and all chair were well taken care of and clean. The shower was great for a quick rinse off, however wish there was one actually by the dome, this being said it was a 30 seconds walk to the main cottage. We assumed the sauna was also by the dome but was also at the main cottage. Would 💯 go back and stay again.

Weekend Trip to Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome

This was one of the best places I have stayed at. Beautiful piece of property; they have everything you could need (except I would recommend bringing a hatchet/axe if you plan on having a fire), and it was nice to disconnect. It was incredibly private, quiet, and relaxing. We got to see a couple of loons, a moose and Benny the beaver popped up! Buggy, but that is to be expected out in the woods. Will definitely be back in the future!!

It was amazing! The bunkie was adorable and even in the middle of winter they accommodated. In the winter months the access road turns into an OSFC trail! That was a bit of a shocker but we made it and it seems as though Michelle keeps it fairly maintained up until the bunkie, so thank you. Also looks like Theres a lot more to offer when Theres no snow. Definitely coming back in the summer

2 nights at Cozy Cabin in the Woods

The cabin was charming and cozy, it came with various board games to pass the time and a telescope to enjoy the stars at night. The hammocks or what my partner and I call the nest was relaxing. We also had a golden retriever visit us on our 2nd and last day in the cabin. She was very friendly. If ever she does wander off on your visit, its the neighbor's dog, she is not lost, she's just enjoying the nature like the rest of us.

Weekend Trip to Cozy Cabin in the Woods

My wife and I spent Thanksgiving weekend at Sabrina’s cabin and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute drive from Rosseau, where we found a fantastic general store that had everything we needed (including firewood). We took our dogs to a nearby beach, grabbed great pizza at Rosseau Pizzeria on the boardwalk, treated ourselves to gelato, and browsed a charming antique shop in town. The cabin itself was amazing—extremely clean, cozy, and full of personality. Sabrina has thought of everything: a full-sized fridge, coffee maker, electric heater that kept the cabin nice and toasty, and even a whole upper loft we didn’t end up needing because the pullout couch on the main floor was perfect for us. Our big dog and mini poodle had plenty of space to stretch out too. The outhouse was surprisingly spacious and spotless, stocked with toilet paper and featuring a working sink with running water both inside and outside for washing dishes. We spent most of our time by the fire pit, which was large enough for a group and surrounded by ample seating. Between the two wooden picnic tables, the big deck, and the covered area with hammocks, there were endless spots to relax, cook, and enjoy the outdoors. Even though the cabin is just off a road, the trees and forest create a real sense of seclusion and peace—you quickly forget there’s any traffic nearby. Sabrina was extremely kind and welcoming, and we couldn’t have asked for a better host. We’d happily come back!

Weekend Trip to Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome

We absolutely loved our stay at Derrick and Rachel's place! It was everything we dreamed of. The place is private, quiet and you are able to fully relax here. The Dome is beautiful, set high with gorgeous lake views. It is clean, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. They have every amenity you require, and excellent seating areas outside (around the fire, and at the dock). The available kayak, canoe and paddleboards allows you to fully enjoy the property. The sauna/shower was such a nice touch and a great way to unwind at the end of the day. If you are looking for a hidden gem, slice or paradise, or the perfect getaway this is your place! Rachel was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend.
