Perfect spot for a relax and unwind. Had the place to ourselves. Basic but comfortable amenities.
Beautiful clear nights with a warm campfire.
Highly recommend Bush Nook campsites.

Nice and close to town, fire wood supplied toilets worked fine, secure with a camera at the gate. Could be busy if full but worked well for us.

Great peaceful camping spot! Compost toilets were clean and easy to use. Town Water was fresh and abundant. Loads of firewood and plenty of room in each campsite. We got in there with an AWD Honda CRV, but wouldn’t have made it in the wet. Definitely need a 4wd, especially if you had a 4wd van attached. Will definitely comeback though, very relaxing location.

Enjoyed the stay in a pleasant and quiet bush environment. Short walk to town and beach. Also received clear instructions/directions to the camp entrance.

It was a rough drive in due to the rain and definitely need a 4x4, but the camp site itself was dry and well maintained.
The facilities are basic but functional and the location is close to shops, beach etc
We had a very relaxing stay and if you like the more off-grid type of camping then I highly recommend Harrington Ocean Breeze Bush Camp.

Nice little camp ground. Walking distance to town. Portable toilets avaible and level ground. Not as spread out / private as it seemed in the photos, but that didn't phase us for one night.
Would recommend taking mozzi repellant as it boarders on a wet land.
Bit of a strange location set behind houses.
Friend had a Subaru Outback that made it through the damp paddock and up the small sandy hill, no issues.
Over all, was a nice stay

Great campsite, we were in Nook 8 and it is well spaced out from the other campsites but still close enough to walk to the bathrooms easily. Heaps of space for cars, tents and a gazebo. The hosts were accommodating and very responsive. Basic facilities that worked well, just be prepared to have a cold shower and change out the composting buckets in the bathroom. Also, make sure to pack bug spray!

The bush setting of this campsite is really nice because the gums are beautiful. However, the sites were very close. In #7 we were sandwiched between two neighbours and had very little privacy.
We were also quite surprised by the toilet, which was essentially a bucket in a portaloo that requires campers to change it out when full. There were instructions, which recommended using gloves or loo roll, neither of which are provided, to replace with one of the spare buckets. There was also no hand sanitiser. A pretty rough job to ask campers to do when paying more than $50/night for a block and not providing the gear required to do it. When we arrived on Friday it was already half full and by Saturday evening was unusable. We ended up going into town to use the public toilets. I would recommend either having an en-suite style set up where each site is requested to swap out their bucket at the end of their stay or upgrade the toilet to a larger drop loo or set up that requires less frequent changing and arrange for someone to do this rather than the campers.
Outside the owners control were the mosquitos which were everywhere day and night and even repellant didn’t keep them at bay so bring heavy duty protection if they bother you.

This bush camp is okay if you are fully self contained and just need a place to camp out close to the beach. The price was pretty high for the amenities you get compared to other hipcamps we have stayed at (unsure if this was a holiday price). The composting toilets were full and you are expected to change them yourselves, we weren’t keen on dealing with other people’s poo as there were quite a lot of campers there. It is also a bit strange that they ask you for your drivers license under the pretense of Department of Primary Industries but collect it using a Google form. We camp a lot and wouldn’t give this one a high rating.

Great spot to camp. Campsite had plenty of room and privacy. Toilets and running water available makes it even better. A minute down the road from the lovely beach/ river plus places to get food or grocerys. Also reasonably priced. Would definitely stay again

Pretty overpriced site for a ‘genuine bushcamp’ experience. Recently slashed flat sites with some trees in between but nobody else there. Facilities looked like they’d been plonked there on a pallet- basic but clean. You could walk to the river and beach - but you wouldn’t, they’re really a drive away. We certainly objected to providing a drivers licence ID as well as credit card payment and rego - so declined to do so.

It was pretty hot and I can confirm there was an ocean breeze, lovely spot!
I usually free camp so no bother to me going in a hole but just not a fan of the toilet set up they had, bins were full and I ain’t changing that. Otherwise 5 stars, thanks!

Great little spot. We got Nook1 which is close to shower (cold but lovely after a hot day at the beach) and toilets, Plenty of room to accommodate 3-4 vehicles and flat pretty level site. Fire pits are supplied and some firewood but bring your own if you can. Lansdowne SF is just on other side of highway if you need any. Directions to campsites easy to follow, no drama getting to them. Can take an AWD there IMHO but would be hard after heavy rain. Amenities basic but very usable. Close to shops, fishing, pub, swimming, wild life (we had a koala right behind our camp), beach and Bowling club. Just be aware of bullants. Definitely worth a look in!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Site 8.
There is so much to do locally and our site was huge, sitting by the fire each evening was a highlight along with all the wildlife we encountered both in the property and in the local area.
It’s a truly magical spot. Thank you for sharing this special place.

With a heavy heart I write this review... while I would love it to stay the way it is now, the owners deserve a great write up! The place is what we wanted, a quiet spot within nature, not far from the beach and small regional town. Besides from some bullants which are part of nature so can't blame anyone for, we had a fantastic time. The owners were great and continuing to improve the place, hopefully it stays the same and not too busy at least for our next trip! 4WD is recommended but you could get away with an AWD when dry. Would recommend to all who like to camp or as an overnight.

Great location, feels like you’re in the bush but still close to Harrington. The forest is peaceful. Bush Nook 1 is pretty nice, although some other sites looked more private. Very thankful for the potable water and composting toilet. Easy to access the campsite as well. Great dog beaches and fishing spots nearby!

Relaxing and Convenient Coastal Cam

The campground is in a convenient location, close to town, with clear directions provided to the sites.
The grounds are clean and well-organised, with plenty of space between campsites, though they’re not completely private from each other. The ground is private from the public, although some sites may see lights from nearby properties at night. The level ground makes setting up easy, but it’s soft in some areas, so longer or sand pegs are a good idea. Access for camper trailers is straightforward.
The toilets were clean and well-presented.
The sound of the sea at night adds a relaxing touch. There’s some road noise from louder vehicles, but it’s not too noticeable and infrequent.
Don’t forget to bring mosquito spray.
Overall, it’s a decent spot for a relaxing stay and a great base for exploring the area. I'd visit again.
