The two sites, located in bordering towns share the same entrance and are connected by a 1/4 mile trail. Both are very large sites. Campers would drive to both sites down a trail so we highly recommend a vehicle with decent clearance and 4WD or AWD. Southernmost Point is a fully drive-in site. Shady Grove campers park above the site and the campsite is down a short path, just a few hundred feet or so. The property consists of varied terrain of rock ledges, lush moss, streams, and panoramic views at the summit. I have had up to 2 campers and an occasional van/camper at the Council of the Elders. I have most recently had requests to book the entire Pine Forest for guests who are traveling together and want privacy- and Ido my best to work with people to accommodate any needs. Please bring your own firewood if you intend to have a fire. I offered wood to guests in the past when I was able but found that tricky to manage as there are times I myself am out of wood. There is plenty of felled wood all around as the property is surrounded by a dense forest and guests are welcome to gather that to supplement fire making. In my experience as a host, I have noted that folks come together and build mini-communities, share food, fires and is generally a positive vibe. Some come for privacy and solitude, which has not been an issue thus far. All in all the energy is upbeat and folks make friends along the way- me too! Brattleboro is a funky, hipster town with many excellent restaurants and much to see and do. For winter enthusiasts Mount Snow is a 30 minute drive and folks can cross country ski and snowshoe right from their camp sites to the 36 mile trail. The Hipcamper can expect privacy yet easy accessibility to the homeowner for tips and ideas to support a positive experience. Campers may be greeted and visited my friendly Bernese Mountain Dog's, Loki Bear and Levi!

This off-the-grid homestead sits on a quiet dirt road just outside the quaint village of Chester. Spread across 28 acres, the property features streams and trails to explore. The 8' x 14' Studio, complete with an accessible entry ramp, offers an elevated porch overlooking the garden, Adirondack chairs, an outdoor kitchen with table, grill and two-burner camp stove as well as a fire pit. Weekend Trip to Bent Apple Farm

Perfect snow get away. Wood burning stove and heater kept us warm, even with just one. Enjoyed listening and looking through the vinyls. Loved the hot tub after a long day of hiking and the comfy bed. The cabin was cute and felt very lived in. It was a nice surprise to see a journal of how many people stayed there, especially during Covid, very lovely notes people left! Only down side - couldn’t stop sneezing at times, lots of dust in the crevices of the wood floor and fabric. Also wish there was a bit more privacy at the door and hot tub, could see the guest next door. Overall definitely would recommend and stay again!

Had a most wonderful cozy winter stay at the tiny house. Such a beautiful location (overlooking the Putney river), with nice views and quiet surroundings. The cabin itself was well equipped with everything we needed, and a quality propane stove that kept us warm through a 0° night! Robbin was very communicative and responsive to any questions we had leading up to and throughout the stay. So grateful to have discovered this little gem and looking forward to visiting again in the spring or summer. Thanks!

Wonderfully warm and curated cozy cabin! It was a wet, chilly, late fall weekend and we were so comfortable in Robbin’s tiny house. Everything was just as described and we likewise had everything + more we needed. Really enjoyed the sound system and super appreciated the ample water provided. Love the added space of the lofted bed. The pull down ladder went with the overall fun, creative vibe of the spot. Would absolutely recommend and stay again!

We had a wonderful time. The view was spectacular. The accommodation suited our needs. Having to outdoor compost potty with a scenic view was a plus for outdoors camping. We enjoyed the horse run in! The run in was clean and had everything we needed. Very much enjoyed the wood burning stove, hot tub, and fire pit. We found the dvd player, books, and record player charming. The farm is beautiful and we enjoyed the town of Londonderry. While the listed rules were a bit overwhelming, Ben and Loana were very kind and hospitable and easy to deal with (it was only surprising bc the rules had set a bit of a different tone). I would highly recommend.

The area is right in the middle of the forest which made for a fun drive and just a beautiful landscape. We got unlucky that the first night was uniquely cold and windy but the host was so great at trying to accommodate and keep us warm. She was very available and considerate. Staying at the Dome in Know Town is truly one for the bucket list! The hosts are welcoming and so helpful. We stayed for three nights and even in the chillier weather on late October nights, the easy set up made everything a real breeze. The out house is extremely well kept up with and the land around the Dome gives so much to do and explore. If you’re thinking about it, BOOK IT! You won’t regret it 🙂
