SEAdation Escape near Cape Lookout

All spots are waterfront, located on Core Sound. There is a dock to tie up your water crafts, such as kayaks and paddle boards. Boats are welcome to park in our overflow parking area and a public boat ramp is 0.25 miles away. Take the Davis ferry to the beautiful beaches of Cape Lookout just a few minutes away! 3 sites with 30 amp power (sites 1, 2 and 3) we welcome generators at the other sites, so long as they are quiet. All with water hookups except tent site 5.
One can also pitch your tent right by the water (site 5). Enjoy swimming in the sound, fishing from the private dock, wind surfing, paddle boarding, kayaks and your canoes!!!! Enjoy it all and only share the space with 4 other sites. Personal boat parking available, public dock is 0.25 miles away. Or take the Davis ferry, a minute away, to the beautiful beaches of Cape Lookout! No waste dump on site, but one nearby, information available upon request. They charge $25.
We also have a Cozy Cottage from 1914 situated on 6.5 acres of gated land. Enjoy the property’s sound access to Core Sound. Fish, kayak, canoe or paddle board in nature’s beauty. 20 minutes from shops and restaurants of Beaufort and Morehead city. There is also a ferry to Ocracoke a island in Cedar Island, a peaceful 20 minute drive away.
Really great access to a quiet and beautiful part of the outer (inner) banks. Everything you’d ever want to do at the beach is within 30 minutes and the sunrise on the sound is gorgeous.
Be prepared for mosquitoes, especially at dusk. Recommend spray or a bug light.
With Cape Lookout National seashore and Fort Macon State park under 20 minutes from us, you also have tons of outer-bank activities to choose from.

North Topsail Beach is about a 5 minute drive and many other waterways with boat ramps . We are located 20 minutes south of Camp Lejeune and about 30 minutes north of Wilmington. I have a fenced in back yard for kids and or pets. A few playgrounds set up. Firepit available. Charcoal grill available. I will allow limited access to indoor bathroom. Limited access to use of kitchen depending on circumstances.

JCO at Lee Baysden Pond
15 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents86 acres · NCThe pond was originally much smaller and a mill pond in the 1920's and features a long dam along one side. It is a 22 acre lake, 2 smaller ponds and surrounded by woods, swamp, and fields, a total of 90 acres.
The Lee Baysden Pond was originally owned by Mr. Lee Baysden himself and first opened for fishing in 1956. The store/office is the original detached kitchen from his homeplace, which is the white house just up the street. We still use this today and it has Mr. Lee Baysden's handwriting in the store that states opened June 1956. The pond was owned and fished until the late 1990's. A hurricane damaged the dam and land was sold sometime after. The next owner dug the pond into the lake it is today and fixed the dam. It was deemed private and no fishing was permitted during this time frame. In 2020 My husband Tyler, and I decided to buy the Pond when we saw the signs up for sale. It was way overgrown and covered in algae and duck weed, but we saw the potential and love for the lake in our community. We could not see it developed off into housing. We created JCO, Juniper Creek Outfitters and Guide Service, fall 2020 and began to restore the lake and land to better than ever! We also have cabins in the works for 2022. We have had several community events hosting fishing tournaments, fireworks, music, and food trucks. Our camp office/store is opened most weekends and fishing passes available 7 days a week online from sunrise-dark. Our lake features fishing for Bass, Crappie, Bream, Catfish, Bowfin, Panfish, and more. Check out our facebook page for all the latest news and catches! We are continually trying to make JCO and Lee Baysden Pond a great place in our community for friends and families!

Take a bike ride across the street and see other historic homes dating back to 1887 including the old train depot building thats been converted to a beautiful home. Another is the home of the old town Doctor, where The Original Doctor's Office is still on site.
Soak in the sunshine; in one of our many hammock spots or the ultra comfy lawn furniture. Feel free to enjoy the whole property on foot and roll around in the grass if you feel like it! Shade trees everywhere for your enjoyment as well!
Enjoy tons of biodiversity here at WanderInn. We have a multitude of native species to observe including edible herbs, pecans, and mulberries, Native wildflowers and pollinators, old growth trees, and more. Many of the plant species are labelled throughout the yard making a walk around the property an enjoyable relaxing experience as well as a possible learning opportunity for nature lovers.
Our property maintains a country feel, while still located just a (5 min.) bike ride or (2 min.) drive from: Gas, Food Lion, McDonald’s, Hardee’s, Wendy’s, Subway, Jade Garden, and (2) Mexican Restaurants. Other amenities located right nearby include Advanced Auto, Rocky Point Hardware Store, Tractor Supply, R.P Nail Salon, Veterinary Office, Gym, a small Farmers Market, and a truck stop.
Just a 15 minute drive to the Historic town of Burgaw, North Carolina. Home of the annual Blueberry festival, which garners over 20,000 festival-goers each and every June. Prefer the river?WanderInn is located just 10 minutes from several public accesses to the NE Cape Fear River. All types of boat, kayak, jet-ski, and board rentals nearby. A short walk down the wooded trail brings you to a small clearing with a central fire pit and several areas suitable for a tent. Situated close to a road, traffic can be heard but easily tuned out, particularly as the road gets much quieter at night. The woods are next to a large open field that is great for star gazing. Bring your hammock!

We love the peacefulness of where we live...although the chickens, ducks, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks, goats and horses do get a little loud come feeding time.
