Really great access to a quiet and beautiful part of the outer (inner) banks. Everything you’d ever want to do at the beach is within 30 minutes and the sunrise on the sound is gorgeous.
Be prepared for mosquitoes, especially at dusk. Recommend spray or a bug light. Carteret County is now spraying our site for mosquitoes!

This campsite is praised for its stunning water views and peaceful atmosphere. Campers often mention the convenience of its location near the ferry and local attractions, complemented by the site's cleanliness and easy access. While some find it slightly challenging to locate initially, the beauty of the surroundings and the relaxing environment quickly make up for it. The host, Sean, is noted for being responsive and accommodating, adding to the overall positive experience.
What a great view and a nice spot. Will attempt to come back when I swing back to the outer banks. Conveniently located close to many great places to visit.
Absolutely incredible location. People say it is hard to find the place but it wasn’t that difficult. Just drive slow and you’ll see it. Great views, gas station about a mile up the road so if you need to use the bathroom that’s a perfect place for it. The ferry take off store is also about a mile away. Overall great location. Thank you for letting us stay and enjoy your property!
We had a great stay, this is a wonderful spot that is secluded with water views/access and plenty of space for our camper. Beautiful area and we would love to come stay again!
Sean has a beautiful slice of heaven here. I stayed at Campsite 3 and it was perfect. Amazing sunsets and sunrises with a comfortable spot to sit and chill right on the water. This Hipcamp was peaceful, quiet just as I had hoped. Easy access to Beaufort and all it has to offer. Would definitely recommend and hope to return!!
I had a wonderful time I was the only one there it was a very very beautiful place. Sean was very understanding about an accident that I caused that disturbed some of the dirt on the campsite!
I highly recommend this place and I will be back!
It is a coastal marsh and there are bugs at dusk and dawn which is to be expected but the rest of the time is beautiful with a nice breeze😁
This camp is on a flat, well-maintained lot extending into the water alongside a tidal marsh. The nights were perfect with a gentle sea breeze. A great place to relax and enjoy nature.
We loved this location. A little hard to find the entrance the first time but after that it is easy. Great location, right next to a small dock and isolated. Host was terrific and we liked it so much we booked for an additional 3 nights.
Absolutely lovely spot for tent camping! Right on the water. Thankfully we were the only ones there which made it even more special. Would easily recommend and will certainly be back!
Had a great stay. Sean was very attentive and responded quickly to any question we had. Beautiful view and a great place to relax, fish, kayak. Water gets very sparse at low tide but still an awesome place!
We had an early ferry over to Cape Lookout and didnt want to drive early in the morning. This was an excellent location for an early morning start, beautiful views of the sound and a nice set back campsite thats pretty private for neighbors.
The view, the hookups and the site were great. . Thanks for the Adirondack’s at the water. Great view and peaceful place to spend a few hours. Very easy to find if you know there are two white posts on either side of the drive. Apple Maps took us to the wrong place.
The site was fairly easy to find, and the campsite was well-maintained. The tide changed a couple of times while we were there, and the wildlife viewing was amazing. We didn’t see or hear from the hosts at any time, but still enjoyed our stay immensely. Would recommend it to others passing through the area.
This location is really special. Private, quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend it. If i’m in the area again would definitely come back. A very special property. Thank you Sean, i’m so glad i got to stay there!
The property is on the mainland side of the outer banks. It sits in some excellent coastal scrub habitat with tidal marshes. The birding was excellent and the site was easily accessible. Perfect for campervan or car. Not much traffic noise and excellent night sky.
We discovered this property after we came off the island due to high winds . It is only a couple of miles from the ferry.
This property is beautiful! We were the only campers, so we had it all to ourselves. There is a small dock that I was able to sit on and enjoy my coffee and watch the marsh birds and the geese. We didn’t get to sit out on the point ( because it was so windy ) but the views are breathtaking.
There is some noise from the highway but it’s not a deal breaker for us. There are 3 RV spots and 2 tent spots. This would be worth renting all 5 spots with a group of friends ! Everything is well maintained and clean. We didn’t have bugs because of the temps and the wind, but I can see how it would be a little buggy in the warmer weather. The owner was super nice and fast to communicate. It was also a great spot to camp with our 2 labs. Definitely a saved Hipcamp on our list !
We loved the location, since we were getting on the ferry at Davis during our stay. The side was great, looking out over the water. We enjoyed the trail through the woods, too. A nice little bonus! Would definitely stay here again.
A great find. In early March, I lucked out and was the only one on site. An easy in and out off the main road for most rigs and fairly quiet at night. A running fan blocked the slight sounds of cars passing by, if any. Right on the water and a great breeze; although the water was really low and was looking forward to a lot of fishing. I took the site closest to the point as I had my own power and water sources, so I recommend this one if you can do the same. The sunrise was outstanding with an early wakeup and a hot cup of joe. The bugs were light this time of year, so not much of a bother. I had to do a little clean up but what a great time for quiet and alone time from the busy sounds of daily life.
Great spot down east to explore Harkers island park, Cedar Island beach and more from. Very quiet tucked back from the road on the water. If you can do without hookups site 4 is beautiful off the point. Could see where the other sites could get crowded with them all booked. We came for new year's get away last minute and it did not disapoint
