Weekend Trip to JCO Campground at Lee Baysden Pond

Very nice and private site right on the water! Perfect for hammocking and relaxing. Saw a lot of wildlife and the sounds at night will put you right to sleep. Porta potty was nearby and stocked with toilet paper. Purchased some bundles of wood from the main office and they burned nicely. Would definitely recommend and come back!

I have enjoyed the pleasure of Contessa’s beautiful property several times. It is so peaceful and they go out of their way to accommodate each and every guest. It is very well maintained and everyone I have met that is camping love it. It’s my go to place that I know I can just relax, feel safe and enjoy the sound of the ducks and watch the Eagles fly over the lake. I hope to return a couple of times each year. The wildlife I have enjoyed on my visits are, Eagles, Ducks, Wild Turkeys and a beautiful Buck Deer crossing the dam at dawn.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay! The owners were very accommodating and helpful!! We stayed at sunset cove site 1 with our dog, the view was beautiful and the site was very private which we were also able to go fishing off of which was amazing! We will definitely be back soon!

The hosts were so incredibly kind and gracious! The property was easy to find, quiet, and such a breath of fresh air. We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of birds and nature. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I had an awesome evening camping. Tessa met us on arrival and showed us to a campsite that would be better suited for windy conditions that were expected. Great host! We had a secluded spot all to ourselves. Would recommend and would stay again!

The hosts were great! Always checking on things to see if we needed anything. Very friendly. Let us know about locals stores ahead of time. Very quick and communicative with plans at the lake and the area. The cabins on the property are adorable. The view was sooo beautiful. Plenty of hiking to go see other beautiful sites around the whole lake. Even saw an otter...so cute! Met Tail...the sweet local kitty. It was such a great way to spend our Thanksgiving. Would definitely love to come back!

First time we went tent camping at Site 4- Sunset Cove at JCO Campground at Lee Baysden Pond. What a great experience. Out hosts Tessa and Tyler were very accommodating and made us feel at home. We loved our tent site and was great for us to launch our kayaks. Excellent view of the pond with a few trees overhead. Bring a hammock because there are two trees close enough by the water to just lounge and chill. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get out and just chillax!!!! We will be back again. Thanks again Tessa and Tyler

This place is incredible, great sites, great accessable amenities even when primitive camping. Top notch host in Tessa, I highly suggest for a camping getaway with family or just to get away by yourself for some fishing or R&R.

This was my first time at this specific site (Timber Creek #4). There was plenty of room for my truck and my tent. The site had a picnic table, fire pit, and a garbage can. Very peaceful. Lots of wildlife and easy access to launch my kayak right from the site. In the 2 years I've been coming out here (the hosts are awesome), I think I got to see the best sunset yet this trip.

We had the best relaxing weekend at the JCO Campground! Tessa was able to accommodate our request for adjoining sites for our family. Nice grassy sites all around a fishing pond. Clean porta-johns. Our hosts were very nice and friendly. Made us feel right at home. We will definitely return!
