We absolutely loved this space! Spanish moss, river front, big sky, birds, jumping fish made for a peaceful retreat. The bathroom was a big bonus as well as a nice fire pit. We hope to return soon!

Excellent site for camping and fishing. Had one rooftop tent and one ground tent. Enjoyed camp fire while fishing all day and night. All three of us caught huge catfish including my grandson.

One of the best views, and if you like to fish like I do then it is a great spot! Laura and her husband are super nice individuals, who took great pains to make sure I was taken care of.

Always a great stay. Privacy, fishing, swimming, a great sunset and a bathroom! What more could you want? Laura has checked in on us the last 2 stays because weather wasn't cooperating but we always try to be prepared for the worst.

Amazing, peaceful and serene!! Site is perfect for several styles of camping with a beautiful view! Bathroom was nice and convenient. We even got to try some local seafood from Front Street Fish! Best seafood ever. The hosts were great an accommodating! We can't wait to return!

Nice private spot by the water and a toilet and sink was all we needed. We got a little confused at first as to how to get to the spot but found it. Just turn right at the bathroom. We were able to swim and kayak. It was a nice getaway.

Another great stay. The pictures speak for themselves. Despite it being 100+ degrees the breeze made it nice. Highly recommend.

Laura was a kind and attentive host reaching out to ensure we had a great time. Ample areas to fish from the dock, to the pond, and from the shore of sunset Grove. The bathroom was clean and well maintained showing the level of care she has for her guests. Thanks for everything Laura!

Beautiful spot right on the river! We carefully backed our Class-B through the trees and close to the River’s edge. Could launch our kayak right from the site and loved sitting on the river’s edge watching the osprey, eagles, and jumping mullets. Laura provided excellent directions and is the perfect host. Spend some time on the riverfront in New Bern if you get a chance.

Beautiful and private location with gorgeous sunsets and water views. Beautiful fishing location, tons of shade, fire pit, flat land, not muddy or overly sandy. Just perfect! We intended to camp right by the water but it was a bit windy, so we moved back inland just a bit and it was perfect. The property is gorgeous and the hosts are fantastic! We got rained on during our first full day and the waterproofing on our tent did not hold up. We thought we were going to have to pack up and leave because our bedding was soaked. However, Laura and Trey were amazing and offered up some fresh linens and towels for us to dry things out and sleep comfortably. This totally saved our vacation! These are amazing people and we definitely intend to come back. The bathroom was super clean and was definitely nice to have available. No shower, so bring a shower tent, but running water and a clean toilet are always nice to have. We were so happy with our stay and hated to leave!
Looking for Seafood while you’re here? Ask Laura and Trey about their seafood market and restaurant that they own! The food is incredible! (Hushpuppies are unmatched!)

We had a perfect weekend. The privacy along with the bathroom made it great. We never explored the main waterfront area because we were so content at the peninsula. The host texted to see if we needed anything but they never intruded on us. The sunset was awesome and we were even lucky enough to see the star link satellites. We will definitely be back.

Peaceful Oasis Campsite by the Pond

The road to paradise has a few potholes…is that a saying? You follow a dirt road with a few potholes (not that bad, I promise) and wind up on a beautiful property. We stayed on the river site so you pass the bathroom, turn right and follow it to the river. The ground was flat and there was a fire pit. Short walk to the bathroom. Just a simple toilet and sink but it’s all you really need. There was firewood onsite. We could have fished right from the campsite or the Seawall which was just another short walk. We were able to watch the fish jump, what we believe were sea otters swim by and the ducks right from inside our tent. Overall, my only real complaint is that I wasn’t able to stay longer but that’s not the hosts fault. I definitely recommend this place. I’ll be coming back!!!

Laurel, the host was very responsive to messages. Very good directions and instructions. The place is an absolutely gorgeous spot. Sit on the pier a watch a gorgeous sunset, and catch fish from the pier or pond. Great value. A much cooler place to stay than the KOA down the road.. does not have hookups though. ✌️

We found a gem with this campsite! Beautiful river front, secluded, plenty of room to spread out and a great spot to take in the sunset. Laura is super friendly and helpful. We will definitely return if we’re back in the area.

Great spot with a lovely view. We easily parked our van down near the water. Our dogs loved walking around the property. Good place to stay if you’re looking to visit New Bern!

We loved the riverfront site! Laura was very helpful and the location was beautiful. Perfect flat surface to pitch up your tent, bathroom was super close and it feels like you're on a private beach. There is a ton of different birds, beavers splashing around at night and squirrels running around. It was a bit of a squeeze to get to the actual site with our truck but you can also park by the bathroom which is very close to the site. Also bare in mind that the location is very close to train tracks so you do hear trains at night. All in all would absolutely camp there again. We had a great weekend on Laura's land.

This Hipcamp is the perfect slice of peace and beauty. Host is very responsive and helpful, directions for the stay are clear, bathrooms are a delightful plus and very well kept, arrival and departure very easy, and the land/views themselves are gorgeous. 100% recommend staying here and I would love to come back.

Peaceful Riverfront Camping
Laura and her husband were kind and hospitable. Their property is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We had a wonderful stay and definitely plan to come back in the future. We were only a quick 7 min drive to downtown New Bern, and at the same time felt like we were away from it all. The fishing at their property is amazing - per the other campers we met while there. We plan to be back to fish next time! :)

Absolutely beautiful!! We had a so much fun, Laura was very helpful with my questions and prompt. My wife and I enjoyed downtown New Bern and all the good food. We will definitely be back!

Such a beautiful, serene place. We set our van up right by the Neuse River and enjoyed hearing the water lapping against the shore and the crickets lulling us to sleep. Walking around the property was nice and the pond area had the best breezes off the river.
It’s definitely a piece of paradise.
