11 sites · RVs, Tents140 acres · Koriella, MurrindindiA grassy, peaceful, expansive wilderness set on 140 acres of pristine, regenerated farmland. Surrounded by undulating hills, open pastures and open woodland, this property is stunning in its natural habitat, both flora and fauna. A true stargazer's treat, this property has uninterrupted 360-degree night sky views with minimal light pollution. The top hills also provide views of the Cathedral ranges and the Victorian Highlands.
You will find kangaroos, deer, wombats, echidna and wedge-tail eagles on this beautiful, serene property. Songbirds include Fairy-Martins, Robins and Willy Wag Tails.
Lake Eildon is 20 minutes away (Devil's Bend), Goulburn Rail Trail is 5 mins away, Alexandra is 7 minutes away, Yarck for a sensational lunch and coffee at The Giddy Goat Cafe is 10 minutes away, and Mansfield is 40 minutes away.
This is a beautiful part of the world - in between Yea and Alexandra and surrounded by rolling hills.
Private sites, with limited views of one other farm property, this property is secluded and extraordinarily serene. Hence the name, Serenity Farm. Nothing but you, the hills, the wildlife and the views.
The best camping is at the back of the property, which is accessible via 4WD only or by foot. If you're after a workout, walk up the ridge with your gear - the views will be your reward, and you'll be so glad you did! It has the most trees and spectacular views across to Yea, the Cathedral Ranges and the Victorian Highlands. You can park at Adem's Hill and pitch your tent there for private and uninterrupted 360-degree views all around. But beware, it can get windy up there. Book these sites: Adem’s Hill, Meet me at the Woodpile or Redgums (experienced 4WD’ers only).
Alternatively, you can drive in and stay on the flat paddocks, i.e. original farmland, and there are cattle on the property from time to time, with evidence of their presence underfoot, aka cow pats. The cattle won't harm you, but they wander around, and if they're at the farm during your stay, they'll keep to themselves. This area also has uninterrupted views of the Cathedral ranges. The lower half of the property has caravan access but little shade from the sun. In winter, or during heavy rain seasons, this area is 4WD access only, and we will advise of that at the top of the listing as necessary.
If this sounds like you, book these sites: Poplars or Basecamp.
At the top or the back of the property, we have boulders, steep gullies and what we believe is a Scar Tree. It's utterly beautiful.
Night-time is like sitting in the Planetarium with amazing views of the entire night sky and the milky way. There's next to no light pollution, and once your eyes have adjusted, you will discover all the star formations you've read about online.
A fabulous getaway; we love our farm and know you will too.
