Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away. Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras). Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. North East Vic is a tourist mecca, with food and wine, lakes and rivers, cycling and markets, mountains and waterfalls. - We are only 2 and half hours from Melbourne and 20 mins off Hume Fwy, via Wangaratta. Please read the whole listing, lots to tell you about us. Campsites 1 is large and can accommodate two vans and 2 - 3 tents (or 14 -16 people). Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people). Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here. Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly. Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite. Campsites are NOT near water. They are near a dry gully, with an **** unfenced dam.**** We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shaded lawn area, BBQ and pot belly fire. The creek is 3kms from the campsites. Near The Hut is the gate to take a walk up to Sugar Loaf (500m return), where you can see amazing grass trees and place a rock on the cairn. Look for the wallabies that live up there. Stay with us to get away from crowded campsites, to enjoy a quieter holiday, while being close to a great tourist district. The King Valley showcases wineries, gourmet food, eateries, restaurants, pubs, brewery, even a gin distillery. Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people). Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here. Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly. Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite. Campsites are NOT near water. What an amazing place to rest and relax. The sites were huge with fire pits provided. Lots of shade and sun depending on your preference. All you can hear is the sound of the water and birds. There were lots of flies but even people in town had the same issue. I would highly recommend Willowood. I will be back.

Second time back to Riverside King Valley. Another great trip! Toilet and firewood ready to go on arrival. Warm welcome from Daemon. And the site as pristine and beautiful as I remembered. Robinia Rainforest is a great site for privacy away from other campers. It's the last site furthest away from other campers with plenty of shade as well. Also feels like your own private section of River as well with the way it curves along the camp sites.

We loved our stay at Willowood! It was such a beautiful, peaceful property. The site was immaculate when we arrived and the built in fire pit was a bonus. My dogs loved swimming in the river and watching the cows. Our experience may have been an anomaly, as we didn’t see any reviews mention this, but the number of flies did impact the tranquility a little. We also came unprepared without any deterrents (rookie mistake for seasoned campers), so we’d recommend bringing some along to make the most of your stay. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to be back.

Carole was a friendly and generous host. I was given wood, eggs, oranges, spinach and even a salve for my sprained ankle. My camp site, situated at the bottom of their back garden, was right on the creek and felt like a bush setting. Plenty of animals -peacocks, geese, goats, chooks, to see, but not unfortunately the elusive platypus. But they did set up a TV documentary on platypus for to watch at my convenience. Definitely recommend their Farmstay.

We loved the whole experience. The property is easily accessible in caravans. So so much space and huge camping areas. Other people camping but you would never know. Ian and Patrick are fabulous and friendly hosts. Great river access drop toilets which were very clean. Pet friendly. Highly recommend this hipcamp. We will definitely be back😁

Incredible place to stay, a real bonus having a toilet The most lovely host Ian. A fantastic flat super large area to set up. His property is a privilege to be allowed to stay. Wal has loved fishing in the river attempting to catch cod. He can see how big they are the water is so clear. Instead he has caught fresh crayfish. Our dogs have loved holidaying with many walks and swims. Very greatful for being allowed to bring them to Ian’s fantastic piece of paradise.

The property is a working cattle grazing farm with large grassy sites available. There is plenty of wildlife watching available so be sure to keep an eye out for koalas, echidnas, wedge tail eagles, owls, wallabies and wombats. There is also plenty of bushwalking available in the nearby flora and fauna reserve. We are also close to rail trail which is popular for bike riding and walking. Relax under the shady gums and enjoy the sounds of natures, pan for gold in the creek or prospect around old Gobur town. Yarck country market is on the 3rd Saturday of every month. General store and giddy goat cafe in Yarck. Bucks bakery in Yarck serve superb pies and sweet treats. Yarck pub nearby has great meals, pet friendly beergarden, ice and takeaways Yarck produce store is open 7 days, stocking steaks, sausages, salami, vegetables, bread and milk. Campfires are permitted only in a metal fire pit, supplied when firewood bundle is purchased or bring your own but any council restrictions must be observed by campers. Bucket of water must be on hand and adult supervision required at all times whenever a fire is lit. Water from creek for washing is on tap and rainwater for drinking is available for campers. Pets are allowed but must be on a leash and kept under the owners control at all times. Campers are welcome to set up on the grassy camp area or if they prefer privacy may set up away from others. Let the host know your wishes. Vehcles must not be driven randomly across paddocks, please follow tracks as guided by host.
