We had a terrific time at Sleepy Hollow. Conveniently tucked away by the creek for privacy without being isolated. Our nearest neighbours were a short walk away but out of sight and sound. The walk up to the cascades was a real adventure for the kids and we had a dip in the water too, refreshingly cold! Matine is fantastic (thanks Matine), great communication before arrival, warm and friendly when we got there. Highly recommended.

Martin was an exceptional host and went out of a way to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The property is a real gem located in the foothills of the Strathbogie ranges. With the campsites spread out it allows you to chill out and taking the amazing views and nature. Definitely be coming back and inviting our friends.

We loved our stay. Loved the fenced area for the dogs. The creek was lovely and enjoyed walking and exploring the waterfall and swimming holes. Lovely hosts very accommodating and friendly.

2 nights at Hidden Beauty on Broken Creek

We stayed at Camp 2, it's a little flatter and more open than Camp 1. Both sites would be fine for tents, or in our case, a rooftop tent. Vans and larger setups might be better suited to Camp 2. However, both camps are great looking. There is a decent amount of distance between the two camps as well. Their home is nearby, but we always had total privacy and wouldn’t have even noticed anyone. Carole met us when we arrived to show us the site, explain the facilities, and give us a homemade focaccia, which was amazing. We only needed the shower and toilet facilities, and they were all very clean and tidy. There was a kitchen area as well, but we didn’t use it. The campsite was level with great grass coverage and still a decent amount of shade around, with trees to sit under. Fireplaces were available, along with some wood, but of course, this depends on the fire ban status on the day. There are some goats, dogs, and a friendly sheep that roam around, all very friendly. There’s also lots of birdlife, with many types around the river. On a clear night, the stars are amazing. We’d be happy to stay again if we were in the area.

Had a fantastic holiday at Nillawarre Farm Stay! Ginnie and Garry accommodated so well for our big group, Ginnie was easy to contact, and answered all my questions, even provided us with some firewood!! A lovely spot with views of the lake. Fairly exposed but there are tree areas to be more sheltered. Plenty of kangaroo. Very dry, so no grass, but even thought it rained the ground was reasonably solid.

Our 300-acre off-grid property backs onto the Barmah National Park. This forest, together with the adjoining Millewa forest, forms the largest River Red Gum forest in the world - it's majestic to explore. Our property is just 500 meters from the Murray River. From your camp, roughly a 1 kilometre walk through the forest. On our boundary is Backwater Creek, which fills with water when the Murray River is up. NOTE: Creek is often dry. It has water in it after environmental flows of the Murray. This can happen several times a year and the water lasts a few months. If you have any questions about water levels please ask before booking as it might be dry when you're here. We're located just 5kms northeast of Moama, where you can hop aboard a paddle-steamer, visit waterside wineries and soak up rich riverboat heritage. We offer a few large, beautiful, basic bush camping sites (the best kind!) in amongst 50 acres of bushland, with 100's of meters and trees between you and other potential campers. The rest of our property is used for cropping and sheep. Campers must take out what you bring in. Big Bama and No 3 - you'll need to be fully self contained. There is a dump point in Moama. Toilets can be hired from Central Hire in Echuca. They can deliver it for you. Mobile and internet is usually reliable, though with long weekends and summer school holidays the service seems to disappear! *Please feel free to book anyone in your possie that is under 18 as a child.

General store and giddy goat cafe in Yarck. Bucks bakery in Yarck serve superb pies and sweet treats. Yarck pub nearby has great meals, pet friendly beergarden, ice and takeaways Yarck produce store is open 7 days, stocking steaks, sausages, salami, vegetables, bread and milk. Campfires are permitted only in a metal fire pit, supplied when firewood bundle is purchased or bring your own but any council restrictions must be observed by campers. Bucket of water must be on hand and adult supervision required at all times whenever a fire is lit. Water from creek for washing is on tap and rainwater for drinking is available for campers. Pets are allowed but must be on a leash and kept under the owners control at all times. Campers are welcome to set up on the grassy camp area or if they prefer privacy may set up away from others. Let the host know your wishes. Vehcles must not be driven randomly across paddocks, please follow tracks as guided by host. Party equipment, DJ decks and lighting is only made available to those who book all campsites. Message me for more info.
