River’s Edge Estate is like a precious gem set on the breathtaking backdrop of the Goulbourne River - part or the Murray Darling basin. There are no amenities here, campers must be self contained and leave no trace. Access 4 Wheel Drive only. There is one access to the river via the road at the front of the property. As you drive down the drive way, you will pass three dams on the left with the third dam being the largest. The north facing hill above the dams is a vineyard which has been in production in the past. Now the crows and cockatoos wait patiently every season for their annual feast of Cabernet grapes. At the river you where you camp you can enjoy walking along the river and the associated activities such as fishing swimming and enjoy the physical environment. The area is home to a family of platypuses.The camp is 8 minutes up the hill away from the main house. You will have privacy away from the house. This area is unique and has been cared for by devoted environmentalist ensuring the land is looked after for future generations. The river is forever changing according to the hydrology flow therefor not always great for fishing so you want to give the river a few days to adjust for good fishing. There are some great eating places in the area now such as the Yark Hotel and Moles Worth Pub.

We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this Hipcamp. It's in a great location, roughly halfway between Yea and Alexandra, making it the perfect base to explore the region while still enjoying a peaceful bush setting. Chris and Robyn were outstanding hosts. Friendly, easy to communicate with, and incredibly helpful. We're not particularly experienced with 4WDing, and when it came time to leave with our caravan, the hill was a little wet and proved a bit challenging for us. Chris took the time to help us and showed us a better approach, which made all the difference. Without the caravan attached, our Ford Raptor handled the hill with ease both up and down. There was also plenty of firewood provided, so we stayed warm and enjoyed relaxing around the fire pit. Overall, it was a great experience with exceptional hospitality, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Thanks, Chris and Robyn!

Just a beautiful, peaceful spot down by the river. Communication from Robyn was excellent, including directions. Need to be fully self contained.

Lovely friendly hosts. The campsite is secluded, with stunning views of the Goulburn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend. The only drawback was the price. But a beautiful place indeed.

The most magical campsite

We had a wonderful time at Robyn’s property and barely saw another person except a few boats passing. Despite the drought, the river was full and this little patch of paradise remains lush and green thanks to its close proximity to the Goulburn River. The birdlife was incredible—we spotted so many different species, including black cockatoos. We swam in the river each day and were lucky enough to see platypus a couple of times. We absolutely adored our stay and plan to return with kayaks, binoculars, and a bird book. We just loved it!

Picture perfect spot right on the river and all to yourself with just the occasional canoe or tinny passing by. Chris and Robyn are fantastic hosts and we will definitely be back. We stayed 3 nts over Labor Day long weekend and weather perfect. Some may find the drive down to the camp spot a little daunting at first but Chris is on hand to guide you. We have a 22ft caravan and made it unscathed.....😆

Spectacular location, complete river frontage and privacy. Loved it was just us. Host are very friendly, directions excellent. Our SUV made it up and down the steep drive. Cannot wait to visit again.

We had a fantastic Kings Birthday long weekend camping on the Goulburn River. Such a stunning spot and Robyn couldn’t have been more helpful , I had lots of questions with she happily answered. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise. Just a little heads up , the drive way is steep so make sure you’ve got a 4wd , the cruiser did a get job pulling the van up . Thanks again 😊😊😊😊oh and great fishing

Loved the spot, right on the river. You will definitely need 4wd to get in or out of the site, especially if its wet. Great fishing caught trout, and redfin there. Will definitely be back. Thank you Robyn, for allowing me to stay.
