Glenmaye is a quiet valley property where campsites are well spaced and surrounded by nature. Granite hills rise above the valley and over 500 acres of wilderness bushland stretch out behind the farm, creating a peaceful setting that feels more like a private nature reserve than a campground.
A favourite activity for guests is the short bush walk along the creek to Marraweeny Falls, where water cascades over granite rocks into a beautiful natural pool. Along the creek you’ll also find several swimmable waterholes that are perfect for cooling off on warm days.
Wildlife is abundant around Glenmaye. Kangaroos and wallabies are often seen grazing in the valley at dusk, while kookaburras, parrots and other native birds provide the soundtrack to the day. At night the property enjoys incredibly dark skies, making it a wonderful place to sit by the campfire and watch the stars.
Our campsites are spread out to give guests privacy and space. They are suitable for tents, camper trailers, vans and some caravans depending on the site, with a mix of easy-access areas and more secluded bush camps. We provide a local sourdough loaf of bread to your cottage.

Local shops are 30 mins drive away so please bring any necessities with you. We welcome babes in arms and we can provide a portable cot, however, as this is a working farm with unfenced dams, creeks, and electric fencing we cannot accommodate toddlers or older children.

We only offer one campsite, so you have the place to yourself. This is a back-to-basics camping experience. This is off-grid, unpowered camping, so you’ll need to bring everything you need and leave no trace. A port-a-loo can be hired locally though Suck It Up Septics (0447 521 981). Gorgeous peaceful walks and places to just sit.... and sit some more....a perennial mountain creek borders this working farm - 20-30 mins from many local cafes, restaurants, pubs, and wineries. Take a creek walk....spot some platypus perhaps? Grey nomads might even use it as a refreshing break from the 'van! Plenty of parking...and star gazers are welcome to explore our very dark night sky. We provide a local sourdough loaf of bread to your cottage.
Important to note:
Local shops are 30 mins drive away so please bring any necessities with you. We welcome babes in arms and we can provide a portable cot, however, as this is a working farm with unfenced dams, creeks, and electric fencing we cannot accommodate toddlers or older children.
No Pets permitted.
We reserve the right to ask BnB guests to leave if a bushfire is nearby or if the Fire Danger Rating is extreme or catastrophic - we will offer a credit.

The farm itself is amazing, easily one of the best campsites we’ve ever been to. The views are incredible, especially when hiking to see the falls. At night, your lights are the stars and the moon, which is so cool. It’s definitely one of the best memories my partner and I will always keep, thanks to Glenmaye Farm.

Our third trip to High Country Paradise was just as fantastic as our first two. Loretta is a very friendly host and always responds very quickly to messages, and the property is magnificent. The sites are huge, so nobody is crammed in, and the creek that runs along the border is fantastic to cool off in the hot weather. Whether sitting out beside the firepit, under the stars staying warm in the colder nights, sitting on a chair in the creek to cool off in the heat, it very relaxing and battery recharging! Only a 15 minute drive to town, and heaps to do in the area, I would definitely recommend this Hipcamp to others!

We had a really great stay - beautiful camp spot amongst the pine trees with nice level ground and perfect soil for putting a tent peg in. The composting toilet was well looked after and the visit to watch the goats getting milked was a highlight for the kids. Fantastic place to camp!

What a fantastic campsite David has set up for his guests. Flat, shady with lots to explore. The compost toilets were a welcome bonus. Easy travel to Benalla and Europa. Our large group loved it - kids loved riding around for hours. Highly recommended!

Charlie’s spot was a beautiful, easy getaway for the two of us and our dog.
Plenty of space for our pup to run and play, the creek (about 15m from the site) was perfect for a plunge. Our dog was braver than us in the cool water, he loved it.
Damien was lovely and accomodating, showing us to the site and checking we had everything we needed. Seeing the animals grazing nearby was wonderful as well.
Truly a lovely place to visit and we will definitely be back!

We stayed at beans bend with children and dogs. The space was perfect. There was a small ledge that allowed us closer access to the water for fishing. We managed to catch a monster carp and baby cod. The kids loved waking around and seeing the sheep. Simon was amazing and very welcoming, so thank you!

Great farm to camp at. Lots of big rolling hills to walk. There were about 6 other camp sites being used and we could only see one which gives you an idea of how big it is. The waterfall walk was really beautiful. Compost toilet worked well. I would camp here again.

We enjoyed our 3 nights stay. Swimming in the dam during the day then relaxing by the fire at night. The dog loved running in the open spaces. Yes the highway is close and you can hear the traffic but it falls away into the background before long. We quite enjoyed watching the freight trains going by.
