Blackwood Park – Lima East Secluded Creekside Camping on a Working Regenerative Farm Welcome to Blackwood Park, a working beef cattle farm practicing regenerative agriculture in the stunning foothills of the Strathbogie Ranges. Our farm is wild, rugged, and full of life, with private campsites along Sugarloaf and Lima East Creeks offering a peaceful escape into nature. If you’re looking for seclusion, open space, and a true farm stay experience, this is the spot for you. Suitable for group camping. The Land & Experience Blackwood Park is a diverse landscape of rolling hills, rocky outcrops, and lush creek flats. The pristine Sugarloaf Creek winds through the property, providing shady spots to relax, listen to the water, and watch for local wildlife. You might spot eagles soaring above, echidnas ambling through the bush, wombats and kangaroos grazing at dusk. As a regen ag farm, we focus on healthy soils, thriving pastures, and low-impact cattle grazing. By camping here, you’re directly supporting the regeneration of this unique landscape. Campsites Our campsite are spaced out for privacy, offering a back-to-basics camping experience. This is off-grid, unpowered camping, so you’ll need to bring everything you need and leave no trace. 🔥 Fire pits available (firewood for purchase) 🚐 4WD or AWD recommended in wet conditions 🐾 Dog-friendly, but must on a lead Getting Here We’re just 15km off the Midland Highway, near Swanpool, and an easy 2.5-hour drive north of Melbourne. Tree plantations provide shade in the morning and late in the afternoon. Relax creek side and enjoy walks around the farm. There are no bathroom amenities here, guests will need to be self contained, take waste with them and leave no trace. Guests can refill containers of drinking water from a rainwater tank. Wheel chair accessible - but this is a paddock. Moderately rough surfaces.

Charlie's Spot - Creek Side Camping

On arrival, we were created with a helpful smile and eggs. The fire pit area was prepared, and fire wood ready. We loved this stay so much the first time, and the second time didn't disappoint. We were offered suggestions on things to see on the area - and we are so glad we visited them, as they were amazing! Still so much to see and do in the area, so I'm sure we will be back again.

Charlie's Spot - Creek Side Camping

Damien is a wonderful host with great suggestions for places to visit. Location is perfect. Close enough to major towns but also offering the peace and quiet of a bush setting. A walk around the farm was a bonus. Campsite by the creek is perfect with great views.

Charlie's Spot - Creek Side Camping

Camping riverside was absolutely incredible! The site was perfectly set up, with plenty of shade for a comfortable camping experience while still having open space to enjoy the sunshine and a game of cricket without worrying about neighbours. The fire pit and hotplate were fantastic additions, making it easy to cook up a delicious meal while soaking in the peaceful surroundings. The highlight, however, was the amazing host—friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help! Communication was excellent, and their insights into the local area made our stay even better. The farm tour was a special treat, and watching the cows welcome new calves each day was a truly unforgettable experience. There’s still so much left for us to explore, and we can’t wait to come back again! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.
