Rocky Ridge is a working Alpaca farm at the foothills of the Strathbogie rangers, only 5-10 minutes drive to Avenel township. Enjoy the rolling hills, treed paddocks and and enjoy a stroll through the giant granite boulders that divide the property in two. Don’t forget to say hello to the alpacas and their native friends the kangaroos, echidnas, native birds and the occasional wombat. We are only a short trip to Ned Kelly country, Nagambie lake, Avenel Maze and our regions top Wineries.

We loved camping at Daniel's farm, beautiful open sky, easy access, great to come and go as we needed, and Daniel was an excellent host, very friendly and helpful! Will definitely stay again when in the area!

Great location with some amazing views still close to Melbourne. Daniel met with us as we arrived and introduced us to the Alpacas which the kids loved.

Avenel Ridge on farm Camping
We had a lovely time staying on Daniel's property. Daniel was a great guy to meet and is very laid back person with a nice humor and very informative on the best spot to set up camp. The views were amazing and the alpaca’s and grey kangaroos and the wildlife was lovely to watch and be around. We would highly recommend people go camping at rocky ridge.

Daniel was an outstanding host, helpful and inviting he made our stay one to remember. Great property right next to the Avanel maze, great variety of secluded spots to park up with shade and a great view. Thanks again and hope to see the alpacas next time :)
