Campsites 1 is large and can accommodate two vans and 2 - 3 tents (or 14 -16 people). Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people).
Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here.
Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly.
Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite.
Campsites are NOT near water. They are near a dry gully, with an **** unfenced dam.****
We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shaded lawn area, BBQ and pot belly fire. The creek is 3kms from the campsites.
Near The Hut is the gate to take a walk up to Sugar Loaf (500m return), where you can see amazing grass trees and place a rock on the cairn. Look for the wallabies that live up there.

Incredible central and private location, set back off the Snow Road in Oxley, Northeast Victoria, boasting natural riverplain terrain with diverse ecology, lagoons and rivers onsite. There is plenty to do in the area from wineries to walking tracks, snow fields to breweries, not to mention renowned Brown Brothers Winery and the Milawa Cheese Factory, just down the road.
There are tracks from your campsite that link to the sealed bike path which joins Wangaratta, Oxley and Milawa townships together. Then only a short walk, bike or scooter ride and you are at Miranda Winery, King River Cafe or Oxley Park (with playground and BBQ). There is also a communal swimming hole (King River) at the Stan Allen Reserve just before the Oxley Park. This is particularly great for the campsites that, although are perched on the banks of the King River, don’t have their own designated swimming hole. Also a key feature is, the irrigation during summer months keeping campsites green all year round as well as the natural lagoons to paddle in with the kayak.
If you are a keen fisherman, the King River is known for Cod and if you have booked one of the southern most sites you will be able to paddle up the river in a kayak fishing, (kayak not supplied).
There are no toilets available onsite and campers must be self-contained keeping in mind, there are toilet facilities at the Oxley Park. Pets are welcome but, must be contained within your site as there are livestock and other campers to consider.
For more accuate information pertainnig to each site check out the specific listings/sites. Some sites are set up for group bookings and others for couples with pricing to match. If you have a large event in mind and wish to book out the entire farm, please reach out for further discussions. The river is ideal for swimming, floating and fishing. Choose either to relax with a book and a glass of wine and do nothing or go and explore the many attractions of the wonderful North East area including the beautiful King Valley, Beechworth, Bright, Yarrawonga and Rutherglen plus many other gorgeous areas that have Art Trails or Silo Art Trails, all of which are 30-60 minutes drive from the property.
Billabong Flats Farm sites are very spacious with each section private from other Campers with a fire pit provided at the site plus an abundance of open area for recreation for kids and dogs to run around.
The King River Site is an extra large riverside bush campsite that could accommodate a large group of Vans (10 at least). It has a designated fire pit and Campers will need to have own Toilet/Shower amenities and be and leave no trace behind when leaving us.
Accessible for most types of vehicles. Dog friendly if well behaved and controlled and won't chase the Cattle. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place, firewood for sale (see Extras).

This site is for self-sufficient campers only. All guests must have their own toilet and all waste must be taken when departing to keep the natural beauty of the area.
We also ask that noise levels be kept to a minimum to preserve the peace of the surrounding wildlife. Well-behaved dogs must be kept under control at all times and must not interfere with the other animals. Maximum two dogs allowed. A flexible check-in/out time can be arranged upon request. Campsites 1 is large and can accommodate two vans and 2 - 3 tents (or 14 -16 people). Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people).
Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here.
Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly.
Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite.
Campsites are NOT near water. They are near a dry gully, with an **** unfenced dam.****
We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shaded lawn area, BBQ and pot belly fire. The creek is 3kms from the campsites.
Near The Hut is the gate to take a walk up to Sugar Loaf (500m return), where you can see amazing grass trees and place a rock on the cairn. Look for the wallabies that live up there.
Stay with us to get away from crowded campsites, to enjoy a quieter holiday, while being close to a great tourist district.
The King Valley showcases wineries, gourmet food, eateries, restaurants, pubs, brewery, even a gin distillery. We are surrounded by creeks, rivers and lakes, with many fishing, swimming and kayaking options - all within a 30 minute drive!
Take a walk to the top of Sugar Loaf, and see unique grass trees on this rocky hill, while catching sight of Mount Buffalo.

Incredible central and private location, set back off the Snow Road in Oxley, Northeast Victoria, boasting natural riverplain terrain with diverse ecology, lagoons and rivers onsite. There is plenty to do in the area from wineries to walking tracks, snow fields to breweries, not to mention renowned Brown Brothers Winery and the Milawa Cheese Factory, just down the road.
There are tracks from your campsite that link to the sealed bike path which joins Wangaratta, Oxley and Milawa townships together. Then only a short walk, bike or scooter ride and you are at Miranda Winery, King River Cafe or Oxley Park (with playground and BBQ). There is also a communal swimming hole (King River) at the Stan Allen Reserve just before the Oxley Park. This is particularly great for the campsites that, although are perched on the banks of the King River, don’t have their own designated swimming hole. Also a key feature is, the irrigation during summer months keeping campsites green all year round as well as the natural lagoons to paddle in with the kayak.
If you are a keen fisherman, the King River is known for Cod and if you have booked one of the southern most sites you will be able to paddle up the river in a kayak fishing, (kayak not supplied).
There are no toilets available onsite and campers must be self-contained keeping in mind, there are toilet facilities at the Oxley Park. Pets are welcome but, must be contained within your site as there are livestock and other campers to consider.
For more accuate information pertainnig to each site check out the specific listings/sites. Some sites are set up for group bookings and others for couples with pricing to match. If you have a large event in mind and wish to book out the entire farm, please reach out for further discussions. If you are booking a group site and expect to have more than 10 people, but you don't know exact numbers, just put the booking in for 10 people and you can finalise the numbers with me a few days before.

It is surrounded by picturesque green countryside laden with ancient Red Rivergum Trees and billabongs with access to river frontage for fishing and the King River Site and White Cedar sites have a swimming hole for those hot summer days. The Secret Island site does have a swimming spot but not as safe for little ones.
The river is ideal for swimming, floating and fishing. Choose either to relax with a book and a glass of wine and do nothing or go and explore the many attractions of the wonderful North East area including the beautiful King Valley, Beechworth, Bright, Yarrawonga and Rutherglen plus many other gorgeous areas that have Art Trails or Silo Art Trails, all of which are 30-60 minutes drive from the property.
Billabong Flats Farm sites are very spacious with each section private from other Campers with a fire pit provided at the site plus an abundance of open area for recreation for kids and dogs to run around.
The King River Site is an extra large riverside bush campsite that could accommodate a large group of Vans (10 at least). It has a designated fire pit and Campers will need to have own Toilet/Shower amenities and be and leave no trace behind when leaving us.
Accessible for most types of vehicles. Dog friendly if well behaved and controlled and won't chase the Cattle. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place, firewood for sale (see Extras).
We are close to the region’s attractions including 15mins drive to Brown Brothers Winery in Milawa, many Lookouts and National Parks, Lake William Hovell, Restaurants, Wineries and Distilleries of this special area.

No motorbike riding is allowed on the property but there is the opportunity for riding the fire tracks in the adjacent forest.
You can also use the property as a base for your adventure in the local region. We are located less than 15 minutes away from Moyhu where there is a fantastic cafe, pub, and shops, and Milawa, where you can enjoy the award-winning Brown Brothers winery and Milawa Cheese Company. It is also less than 30 minutes to Wangaratta, Beechworth, and Myrtleford not to mention a few minutes from the Snow road.
This site is for self-sufficient campers only. All guests must have their own toilet and all waste must be taken when departing to keep the natural beauty of the area.
We also ask that noise levels be kept to a minimum to preserve the peace of the surrounding wildlife. Well-behaved dogs must be kept under control at all times and must not interfere with the other animals. Maximum two dogs allowed. A flexible check-in/out time can be arranged upon request. Stayed at Bushcamp 3. Easy river access which was great in the heat. Dameon was a fantastic host, helping me out when needed always willing. I would certainly go back. Close to petrol and most needs, great little brewery 2k down the road. The dogs loved swimming in the river and paddle boarding.

Fantastic once past the check in area. A bit unassuming at the entry I admit with ‘stuff’ laying around.
Once past that…. so relaxing!
Close and easy access to the river. Great toilets and shower. Plenty of shade, huge sites and nothings a trouble to Daemon. His dogs are beautiful too.

Absolutely loved this place! Such a beautiful, peaceful spot and incredibly relaxing. The swimming hole is amazing and quickly became our favourite part of the stay. Being so close to two great pubs and all the King Valley wineries was a huge bonus. The host was wonderful and made everything easy. We can’t wait to come back again and again! We have stayed twice so far

Second time staying here, we love it 5 days of 40+ degrees was a killer but that river is magnificent to cool off in!
Cows at your camp in the morning are lovely, clean camp site, we were the only ones there all week. Couple general stores and local hotel only 10mins up the road.

Our second trip to Stonor site at Ellimatta and would highly recommend. We had a camper trailer and a dog and camped in the lower area which is perfect for privacy and a reactive dog. Great spot to base yourself for river swimming, wineries , wonderful country pubs and 4wding . Very peaceful and sites are well spaced out. Thank you again Lisa

We arrived on a 45 degree day, out of a car with no AC and windows up, thinking we'd be spending the day swimming in their creek and camping in the hot shade.
The creek is 30 cm deep and full of sticks and leaches - swims were not to be. But everything else far exceeded expectations. They were so generous and kind, welcoming us into their home and air conditioning, sitting with us for chats and painting watercolours in the garden, showing us their projects and animals. The farm is a delight. So picturesque.
They are artistic souls who seem to host out of a passion for connection, community and generosity in sharing their beautiful haven, rather than to make some cash.
We could have been happy their for days.

My wife and I had a wonderful time during our 4 night stay. Nice green grass which meant the dogs didn’t get dusty. Plenty of room for both van and tow rig. Beautiful river to cool down in, with quick drives to some wonderful food and beverage places such as Brown Bros… Willowood is easily one of the best camp sites we have had the pleasure of visiting.
We will be back definitely.

A great spot. It is a 5 mins work to the shops but it feels like you are in the middle of the bush. there is no road noise and it is a very private spot. Spend 3 days over the long weekend and loved it. You are right on the river, it is deep but slow flowing so safe to swim for all the family.
The hosts greet us, took us to the site and then came back a few hours later to check on us to ensure everything was ok.
This is what Hipcamp was designed for. Great private owned spots being shared with the public to be enjoyed.

Really enjoyed the privacy of the spot and the space. Was clean and loved having the cattle roaming in the nearby fields. Would be perfect space in cooler weather as there isn’t any shade. King river is a 5-10min drive and perfect for swimming!
