This site offers plenty of open space to safely have a campfire. Plenty of fallen branches and trees to cut up for firewood. Or purchase wood from the local food works, closing at 7pm OR the servo closing at 9pm. This site is on a 105-acre farm, with a private spring water swimming hole, water can be collected from the running water spring. The farm is home to a mob of kangaroos, please watch from a distance. You will also spot and hear wild deer. The site does have plenty of grassed area, but we will let you know there is a bit of black berry bushes that we will start removing over time. (This area we cannot use chemicals close to the water ways.) We have 2 goats Eve & Rain to help with the weeds and greeting our guests. This site has a lot of history from bottling water from the old factory, (no longer in use), Potatoe and berry farming and raising sheep. You will feel so relaxed in a private and tranquil site. We manage 2 sites on this farm and 2 sites on the neighboring farm. Taxi service - The Graceful-Goat to get you around to the local eats and wineries. The Kinglake market is on the 4th Sunday of each month 10-2pm except December which is the Sunday before Christmas - twilight 2-7pm No market in January. We are family and dog friendly, with the space for multiple families to camp together on our spacious sites. THIS PROPERTY IS NOT SUITABLE FOR DRUNKEN AND/OR NOISY PARTYING!!! Pitch your completely self-sufficient sleeping quarters on our peaceful, flat, 7 acre property which backs onto the Bald Hill Nature Reserve and is less than five minutes drive from Kyneton’s historic Piper Street which is full of delightful restaurants and cafes. Take under an hour to drive up and explore beautiful Bendigo, experience delightful Daylesford nearby and meander around the wonderful wineries of the Macedon Ranges. Campfires are allowed subject to local fire restrictions and must be fully extinguished before you turn in for the night. Please search for the CFA website 'Fire Danger Period: Can I or Can't I?' which has all of the appropriate information. Each site has a fire pit which you can use providing it is not a total fire ban. Firewood is available at a cost to you of $50 per wheelbarrow load which will easily cover two nights. We have four separate camping locations on the property; you can easily have up to four RVs on sites 1, 2 and 4 and two on site 3. We have tried to ensure privacy for each location but you may be able to see other guests and/or the house through the many trees. Please be aware that there are two dams on the property so children should supervised at all times. My own children swim in the dam and there is a kayak available but lifejackets must be worn by children in, around and on the water to minimise risk. Pets are welcome. The kangaroos may prove quite enticing for some pets and as such we recommend dogs be kept on their leash. Site 4 has ringlock fencing and farm gates which can be helpful to contain your pets. Please be aware that the Kyneton Gun Club has their monthly clay target shoot on the 3rd Sunday of each month (2nd Sunday in December) from 11am until 5pm during which time you will hear them clay pigeon shooting. We are NOT a commercial campsite and, as such, you must be fully self-contained for power, water, showers, sewage, refuse disposal, etc. Guests under the age of 25 must be accompanied by their parents.

We have opened up a beautiful flat expanse at the rear of our five acre property and made it available to self contained campers and caravaners. We are travelers ourselves and often find it difficult to find peaceful yet secure spots that allow us to explore capital cities and the lovely areas around them. Most cities tend to have caravan parks in the outer suburbs and these can often resemble concrete jungles and be very busy leaving you feel like you have to pay a top premium to be cramped into a space. But what options do you have if you want to explore a vibrant city like Melbourne. See a show, do some shopping, eat out at some of the World's greatest restaurants. Yes, we all should splurge every now and then even when on the road. Our property lies at the very start of the Yarra Valley. It is surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Helens Hill vineyard. In the Summer months you can watch the fruit come onto the vines and in the Winter the views open up to see the kangaroos bouncing though the rows and often silhouetted against the skyline sunsets. We are less than 5 minutes to Lilydale town center. Supermarkets, restaurants, service centers, parts stores, hardware are all on the doorstep, yet looking out over the vines you wouldn't know. Lilydale is 38 kms from Melbourne CBD and there is a train station with ample day parking making it super easy to explore the heart of Melbourne and return 'home' to your country retreat for the night. Myki cards available on site FOC. There is a dump point only 3kms away at a local caravan park for those that need it and at our property water can be available to fill your tanks if needed for a small donation. There is no water or power connection on the sites but you can release your grey water to nourish the grass. Lilydale has a large laundromat available to you. We have a beautiful covered eating area with BBQ available so if the weather turns inclement you can still eat out yet under cover. All campers must be 100% self contained. These are remote sites with no connections and there are no toilet facilities available. We have restricted our area to a maximum of 6 sites to ensure that everyone has their space. Sites are not marked and locations will be on a first booked basis. Owners will direct you to your areas. The area is beautifully flat and does absorb water well but care must be taken to not tear it up after heavy rains. Please seek assistance from owners rather than tearing up the grass as a tractor is available. We can cater for large sized vans and even large motorhomes. Tents are welcome. The property is pet friendly but not fully fenced so your furry friends would need to be on lead. We have our own dogs on the property. Hipcamp being USA based describes the sites and vehicles in USA terms and lengths. There is no way to alter this but please be aware. We cater for Aussie sized caravans and 4wd vehicles. 14 or 15m long all up, no problem. Just in a 4x4 with roof top tent and awning, we have you covered. Cruising the country in a Commodore with a pop top, all good here. Please be aware that we do share a boundary with a working vineyard and they do occasionally have a tractor or crew out in the vines doing some work. There can be a bit of farm machinery work every now and then but this is beyond our control and generally very minimal as vines dont take much looking after unless its harvest night.

You are welcome to walk the property and visit the farm animals during your stay(as long as you stay on the outside of paddocks/yards) There are dams and a seasonal creek running through the property, providing many options for campsites and also fishing(catch and release) (Please note creek is seasonal and not suitable for swimming). Dogs permitted but must be well behaved and not chase livestock. Campfires permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place. Drinking water available. We are now processing our own meat so if you are wanting some farm grown produce for your stay or something to take home then please let us know and we will let you know what we have available. We can also cater for groups wanting somewhere to camp with their horses, with use of an arena and roundyard. Please contact us if interested.

Quiet, peaceful area with birdlife and wildlife surroundings. Just 1 hr to 1hr 20min travel time to Spirit of Tasmania (less than 100km), 5 mins from the town centre and 6 mins to the state motorcycle track. Central Victorian country with cleared undulating paddocks or wooded areas with views of Mount Piper. Basic bush camping - no amenities so must be self-contained with own toilet and leave no trace. Pets on the application (and must be on a lead at all times). The owner lives in the house on site, and has knowledge of and contact with the state motorcycle track, has been crew onboard the Spirit of Tasmania and can provide information and assistance with vessel contacts, as well as helpful contacts in Tasmania. Some spots available near trees, but generally it's an open natural area. Other services and amenities may be available at the house with prior application. Be aware some chickens and geese roam freely around the site. Please drive slowly down driveway. Contact Host on or before arrival preferred.

91 Gordons Bridge Road was once part of a pine plantation that had been planted in the late 60's and harvested just prior to the Black Saturday fires. Across the road from the Kinglake National Park, it is surrounded by protected flora and fauna. Victoria's Pink heath, wattles and tea tree provide a pleasant backdrop in season. It is not an uncommon site to see an echidna or two on the property, with black wallabies, kangaroos and wombats often seen grazing on pasture in the evening. The mud turrets are the home of endangered land yabbies and Lyrebirds have been seen in the area. Feral deer have come to inhabit nearby properties and sometimes wonder down the track. Birds watchers will enjoy a variety of bird life that inhabit the area including eagle hawks, fairy wrens, kookaburras, rosellas, parrots and yellow tailed black cockatoos when in season. The area is a popular spot for hikers with the start of the Mountain Creek trail only a few kms down Gordons Bridge Road and serious cyclists train regularly, on Mount Slide, especially on the weekend. For the serious wine lover the property is within 15km of the Yarra Valley Wine Growing area with many wineries offering tastings.

Robert is a friendly and informative host with a wealth of local knowledge which we plan on tapping in to further. Lovely level grassed area which our pooch also loved. Highly recommended

I had a great weekend camping here, even with the weather swinging from very hot to quite cold. It’s a fantastic location with beautiful views overlooking Mt Sugarloaf and Gisborne. Bernadette was a wonderful host and made everyone feel welcome. The facilities were clean and well maintained. There were several families and groups staying over the weekend, but it never felt cramped — sites were well spaced and everyone had their own space. The art gallery and café were open, which was a real bonus. It was great to escape the 40-degree heat for a while and enjoy a quality coffee and a delicious vanilla slice.

What an absolutely beautiful Hipcamp! Site 1 overlooks the vineyard and there’s a Winery just a short walk through them! We are travelling full time with 4 dogs (🥴), an NPS truck and 19’6” van. No problem with access and plenty of space between the sites. Morning and evening walks through the vineyard with our dogs was an absolute pleasure. Robert, our host, was very accommodating and kept the property immaculate.

Absolutely Loved Our Stay at Lancefield Lake Campground! We just spent a fantastic day at the Lancefield Lake campground and had to share our experience. The star of the show is, without a doubt, the stunning lake itself. Our lakeside spot offered breathtaking views from morning until night. Waking up to mist over the glassy water and ending the day with a fiery sunset reflecting on the surface was pure magic. It's incredibly peaceful and scenic. A major plus was the excellent infrastructure. The public restroom and shower facilities were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Having access to reliable hot showers and spotless toilets really elevates the whole camping experience. The sites were well-defined, and the overall grounds were tidy and orderly. It's the perfect blend of beautiful nature and convenient, clean facilities. We felt completely relaxed and will definitely be back! Highly recommend booking a lakeside spot for the full experience.

We loved camping here. The area for each camp is large and your away from other campers. Its really dog friendly, all the space made it easy with our medium size doggos, plenty of room to run and play. The sites are cared for, we could walk around barefoot on the grass and didnt need the annex floor. The walk to the beach is flat, short, easy and mostly shaded. We found it very peaceful. The location is great, central to so many things to explore. The hosts are really lovelly, greeting you and taking time to explain what you need to know. You are in a paddock so consider shade requirements we had an extra tarp for afternoon sun.

We stayed here and it was exactly what we wanted. Quiet. Private. Open space with lake views. Mornings were calm by the water. Nights were dark enough to see the stars and sit by the fire. No crowds. No noise. Amenities were clean and practical. A stunning, easy place to camp/caravan and slow down.

Beautiful and peaceful campsite with a mystical morning view. The site is well spaced and private, away from other campers. Bathrooms and toilets were clean, and waking up to the sounds of birds and cows was very relaxing. We also saw wildlife like kangaroos, which made the stay extra special. Highly recommended for a quiet nature escape.
