Our walk the neighboring farm (105 acres) Eagles, cockatoos, black cockatoos, kookaburras, magpies, rosellas, king parrots, Gang-gang cockatoo, honey eaters can be spotted most days and lyrebirds if you’re keen to go looking. We have opened up a beautiful flat expanse at the rear of our five acre property and made it available to self contained campers and caravaners. We are travelers ourselves and often find it difficult to find peaceful yet secure spots that allow us to explore capital cities and the lovely areas around them. Most cities tend to have caravan parks in the outer suburbs and these can often resemble concrete jungles and be very busy leaving you feel like you have to pay a top premium to be cramped into a space. But what options do you have if you want to explore a vibrant city like Melbourne. See a show, do some shopping, eat out at some of the World's greatest restaurants. Yes, we all should splurge every now and then even when on the road. Our property lies at the very start of the Yarra Valley. It is surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Helens Hill vineyard. In the Summer months you can watch the fruit come onto the vines and in the Winter the views open up to see the kangaroos bouncing though the rows and often silhouetted against the skyline sunsets. We are less than 5 minutes to Lilydale town center. Supermarkets, restaurants, service centers, parts stores, hardware are all on the doorstep, yet looking out over the vines you wouldn't know. Lilydale is 38 kms from Melbourne CBD and there is a train station with ample day parking making it super easy to explore the heart of Melbourne and return 'home' to your country retreat for the night. Myki cards available on site FOC. There is a dump point only 3kms away at a local caravan park for those that need it and at our property water can be available to fill your tanks if needed for a small donation. There is no water or power connection on the sites but you can release your grey water to nourish the grass. Lilydale has a large laundromat available to you. We have a beautiful covered eating area with BBQ available so if the weather turns inclement you can still eat out yet under cover. All campers must be 100% self contained. These are remote sites with no connections and there are no toilet facilities available. We have restricted our area to a maximum of 6 sites to ensure that everyone has their space. Sites are not marked and locations will be on a first booked basis. Owners will direct you to your areas. The area is beautifully flat and does absorb water well but care must be taken to not tear it up after heavy rains. Please seek assistance from owners rather than tearing up the grass as a tractor is available. We can cater for large sized vans and even large motorhomes. Tents are welcome. The property is pet friendly but not fully fenced so your furry friends would need to be on lead. We have our own dogs on the property. Hipcamp being USA based describes the sites and vehicles in USA terms and lengths. There is no way to alter this but please be aware. We cater for Aussie sized caravans and 4wd vehicles. 14 or 15m long all up, no problem. Just in a 4x4 with roof top tent and awning, we have you covered. Cruising the country in a Commodore with a pop top, all good here. Please be aware that we do share a boundary with a working vineyard and they do occasionally have a tractor or crew out in the vines doing some work. There can be a bit of farm machinery work every now and then but this is beyond our control and generally very minimal as vines dont take much looking after unless its harvest night.

Polly's Paddock is a quiet camping area on the Mornington Peninsula. We are a couples only camping (adults only), no children, for safety reasons with a dam close by. Only 15 minutes from Mount Martha village and Mornington, restaurants, amazing wineries, weekend markets, cafes and golf courses. We are 10 minutes from swimming beaches and 20 minutes from surf beaches. This is a 5.5 acre block, consisting of the host’s residence, garden and parkland. Polly's Paddock is half of the block. We offer 2 flat caravan sites, both with drinking water , 1 with limited power , the other no power. There is a site with a glamping tent set in the garden. The 6 metre round tent sleeps 2, with a queen size bed, linen provided. It is carpeted, has a fridge, kettle and BBQ. Just pack your toothbrush, clothes, food and drinks. All 3 sites have the use of a shared composting toilet. For a refreshing experience there is an outdoor, open air hot shower overlooking the dam. Close by is a spacious shelter/shed with tables, chairs and a rustic kitchen area with sink and heater. Well behaved dogs are accepted on the caravan sites, but we ask that you please discuss with us prior to booking. Dogs are to be kept on a lead at all times, wild ducks and the properties own poultry wander here. No dogs on the glamping tent site. We had a fantastic stay at Bay Park. The site was spacious and peaceful, offering plenty of room to spread out and relax. The facilities were spotless and clearly very new, which made the experience even more comfortable. Our host was friendly and welcoming, and we were pleasantly surprised to find power available, even though only a water tap was listed in the description - a great bonus! Another highlight was the generous firewood bundle, which easily lasted us four nights and kept the campfire going strong. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a well-maintained, quiet escape with thoughtful touches.

Loved pur stay at the Bay Park and qlukd definitely go back for longer stays as we didnt get to use any of the kids' activities. We love the Bay Park for its easy access to the beach and shops, as well as for the huge sites and the tranquillity despite being very close to the town centre; it beats the foreshore campgrounds around the area anytime of the day! Kids love the communal fireplace have made friends during our brief stay. The shower was on the colder side; it wasnt an issue for such a brief stay, but thought we'd mention it for management review. Loved the personalised welcome where I didnt even have to step out of the car nor wait to be taken to our site.

The site was great with good amenities. The hosts were very friendly and greeted us when we arrived and delivered our fired wood later in the day. The toilets and shower was clean and hot water available.

Beautiful little spot, private and so relaxing! Would love to come back when it’s warm enough to swim in the water. A lot of reviews were mentioning that the ground is uneven. This was clearly mentioned in the description and is no issue if you have some levellers. We had an awesome weekend, there is a fireplace too and it’s so very quiet. Loved our stay.

I had such a great stay here! The campsite was peaceful, clean, and surrounded by amazing views. Tamara was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond to help me out. I couldn’t get up the mountain with my bike, so she kindly gave me a lift. Truly appreciated that extra bit of kindness. If you are thinking of doing a bike ride to this place beware there is a very steep hill you need to get through! Everything about the spot felt relaxed and welcoming, and you can tell it’s cared for by someone who really loves the place. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet getaway with a personal touch!

3 nights at Mountain Flower Farm

The day we rocked up, we were able to park in a spot sheltered from wind (super gusty day). From there, Tamara was a delight to talk to and our boys enjoyed playing with her son too. Unfortunately, our car ran off road one of the nights which had left us stranded without a car while it is in the shop getting fixed. Tamara was gracious and let us stay for as long as we needed to get back on track. On top of hospitality, Tamara had also helped us get in contact with someone to fix our car and made sure we were looked after well. The whole family is gorgeous and I sincerely hope they do well in life. The farm has goats and sheep which our kids enjoyed feeding and the proteas on the property are going strong and beautifully. Definitely recommend this place if you’re travelling thru the Yarra region.

the spot was very lovely, and a great distance from any local towns. it feels far away enough to be isolated but also just 20 minute drive if you wanna grab some food or supplies. jana is also a great host and very personable and friendly. would definitely recommend.

We had a fantastic stay here, we struck some nasty weather, Rob was very kind and allowed us to move to a more sheltered area. Such kind people and a beautiful view over looking the vines and their beautiful gardens. Definitely recommended

Amazing quiet spot close enough to a town for supplies but far enough away to feel like a real retreat. Easy communication and ste up with Hugh. Highly recommend
