With an outdoor flush toilet (rustic!), cold bore water shower, fridge (old but works fine!), power for charging devices, and drinking water, you’ll be very comfortable as you explore the local area. We love it here and we know you will too.
You may be the only campers or there may be others on the far side of the paddock or the orchard next door depending on time of year. You’ll have your own private space but will be close enough to the action to see the comings and goings of our multigenerational family as we potter around the farm, veggie garden and orchard. Say hi! Say g'day to the curious chooks and friendly dogs and enjoy the top-notch "equine views" from your site with three lovely horses in the nearby paddock. (Please don't enter their paddock).

The main camp site has a large flat area and can accommodate most vehicles. The grass can be a bit rough and expect some sticks and twigs and holes around. Horses sometimes graze the paddock and poo is picked up but if you're lucky you might find some remnants!
No wild party groups, please! Please respect the peaceful surrounds, our family and neighbours, so please keep the noise down after 10pm.
Sorry, but dogs are generally not allowed as we have dogs, free-ranging chickens, horses and cattle, and they may not mix well!

Stockyard Paddock is located at our property called "Tarrawonga", situated on the outskirts of Port Albert. Two minutes drive to the town centre and 10 minutes to nearby Yarram. Tarra Bulga National Park and the magnificent Wilson's Promontory are easy day trips for some of the best hiking in the state.
We are a 16-acre hobby farm. We run about 30 sheep who are looked after by "James" the pet Alpaca. We also have a newly established seasonal wetland project in the making. Just sit back and enjoy the local Kangaroos and abundant birdlife.
Campers have access to a level and grassed, four-acre cleared open dry paddock with a treed outlook. Access is good for caravans and other RVs. You need to be self-contained, with your own camp toilet. There is water and a dump point just two minutes drive up the road. No generators please.
Port Albert is steeped in history and a visit to the maritime museum is absolutely worth the time. The Alberton Hotel provides a courtesy bus if you're after a counter meal and drinks. Tarra Bulga National park is close by and provides some magnificent walks. Wilson's Promontory is a great day trip. And of course, there is always the famous Port Albert Fish and Chip shop.

Our property is 5 acres comprising of a farmhouse, shed and gardens. Our campsites are grassy green flat paddocks with separate access, great views across open green pastures of grazing cattle and sheep with views of the majestic hills of Dumbalk South.
There's plenty to see and do in the area from the amazing Wilson's Prom Nat. Park (40 mins), to country town shopping (2 mins), waterfalls and more.
We are only a 10min walk or 3min bike ride from the Great Southern Rail Trail which is a multi-use, gentle trail suitable for all abilities and fitness levels, covering 14 towns and 130klm it runs from Nyora to Yarrum with panoramic views of lush farmland, rainforest and pristine seascapes. The Great Southern Rail Trail links several unique towns.
Just across the road you'll find Stony Creek Go Karts which is at 800 metres long, the longest Hire Kart track in Victoria and one of the few tracks that have racing karts and hire out karts as well as provide facilities to bring your own. (Book if poss). They also have other games facilities and an on-site café with great coffee and pizzas!
Ten minutes drive towards Dumbalk South takes you to Blue Tree Honey Farm, a great little tourist attraction where you can taste and buy honey from local areas, sample a beautiful cream tea/coffee, have lunch in the cafe or sit outside and admire the scenic countryside.
Just down the road towards Foster on your right you will find a fabulous panoramic lookout platform with views of Wilson's Promontory National Park (40 min) comprised of 125,000 acres of rainforests, extremely beautiful beaches, rugged granite mountains and abundant wildlife. Trails from the Tidal River settlement lead to Squeaky Beach, with its white quartz squeaky sand. Nearby, Mt. Oberon offers views of Bass Strait and offshore islands and Wilsons Promontory Light station, built in 1859, is on the southern coast.
Nearby towns for shopping are Meeniyan, Leongatha and Foster. Leongatha has an indoor pool and Foster has a surprisingly good museum which as you walk through there are outbuildings like a jail and a schoolhouse, complete with school children!
There are so many attractions nearby as well as local festivals and markets just about every weekend that you will keep coming back to fit them all in.

Guests must be mostly self contained and must take all waste/rubbish with them on departure. We have a toilet available for our campers and an outdoor solar shower. Potable water as well. Please note that we are on tank water and please be careful to turn taps off and follow the instructions we have near each of the water sources.
Fires are allowed as long as the fire ban guidelines are followed. No ground fires allowed. We have fire pits available for you to use free of charge or bring your own. There is also plenty of wood around the place that you are welcome to pick up. But we recommended you bring some of the bigger logs with you.
Just a 5 minute drive to the magnificent 90 mile beach and plenty of bush tracks to go walking or bike riding.
The township of Woodside is just up the road has a service station/Post office/shop. 15 minutes to township of Yarram and 35mins to Sale city.
Given we are a small campground with neighbours nearby we ask that all campers please be considerate of them and their fellow campers. If you like to party then this is not the place for you.

Our farm is located in Carrajung Lower, Central Gippsland where is 2.5 hours drive from Melbourne.
As the name reveals we live on a small ridge with at least 3 pairs of Kookaburras living around our house.
With a 52 acre property we run miniature sheep to keep our land green and produce ethically raised 100% grass fed lamb.
Each site has three levels. The top level is for vans and/or tents; the middle level is for tents only and the bottom level is the fire pit area. Each level is quite narrow so camper vans that flip out to the side and annexes are likely not to fit.
Surrounded by pine plantation and native trees, you can enjoy secluded time without neighbours except native animals and birds! Perfect for bushwalking or mountain biking.

This was an amazing spot to camp - secluded, great space, surrounded by lovely bushland - but still very accessible. Easy to set up - flat. Well thought out amenities. Fire pit in a lovely treed area - which even had a picnic table and swing for the kids. We took three small dogs - no problems - they were able to explore - but we felt they were safe and not annoying anyone. It is exactly what they promised in the promo! Would definitely come back

The owners are just lovely and they helped us out with anything we needed but also gave us the space . Campsite was lovely and equipment was super helpful! Nice area near lots of towns and things to do

Great location and host. Plenty of space for our large vehicle and van. Great views. Yes we could hear the road and the go karts at times (during open hours) but it wasn't a problem and all was quite at night. Strangely we enjoyed watching the eerie spectacle of the odd car or truck passing with its high beam lights through the trees whilst sitting around the camp fire. Location is close to the rail trail, we both walked into town and rode the trail. Our dog was welcome. Easy road trips to the Sandy point, Shallow inlet, Fish Creek Pub, Foster Market, and Waratah hills winery. Will Definitely be back.

Had a great stay over Easter . 300 metres from the rail trail. We rode to Foster one day, other day Korumburra on our e-bikes.if you want space and not in a crowded caravan park. Must be self contained and we had a fire in the supplied firepit every night.

Highly recommend staying at Michelle's Hedley Gardens. A truly relaxing setting, hanging out around the campfire and playing with our dogs was a treat and all set within a beautiful native garden, surrounded by impressive gum trees.
The lush grass made for a luxurious base to our tents, very comfortable indeed. Camp kitchen, shower, toilets and games room are fabulous bonuses.
Great location for the Prom, fishing at Port Welshpool Long Jetty and Agnes Falls is stunning yet short drive from camp.
One reviewer mentioned the sound of traffic, which was a concern. However, even as a light sleeper, no vehicle noise disturbed me! The only thing to wake me was a braying cow, but that's the beauty of camping.
The Rusty Gunard in Port Welshpool is worth visiting, excellent menu and the quality of the food and service was a treat! This one pub town struck gold.

The view up the track was stunning, especially at sunset
It was super convenient with shops and petrol station close by and being able to have a fire was awesome

Virginia and Rick were amazing hosts. Very friendly, responsive, helpful, and accomodating. The site had beautiful views and plenty of room for our group to spread out while keeping private from other groups. Highly recommended and would love to stay again!

Michael's spot is tucked away from the world, a beautiful secluded spot to get away, surrounded by rolling hills. We were treated to clear skies at night to see gradient sunsets & shining stars. There was a bit of wind at times, but nothing a jumper & a warm fire couldn't solve! The site is well kept, thank you for having us.

Can’t get to Sthern most point without a 20K walk
The Prom is a lovely day trip (esp if weather is good). Obviously we didn’t do our research as you need to walk 20Km each way to reach the Southern most point. Other walks are shorter and well worth the time and energy. Lovely National Park and well maintained.

Definitely recommend Wilsons Promontory, it's one of those spectacular places that makes you realise how beautiful the world would be if all that natural habitat had not been cleared to allow for farming in south east Victoria... it's busy in the summer and we hope to go back in the cooler months when perhaps it's a bit less hectic, but anytime of the year, a must for anyone visiting Victoria
