Stockyard Paddock is located at our property called "Tarrawonga", situated on the outskirts of Port Albert. Two minutes drive to the town centre and 10 minutes to nearby Yarram. Tarra Bulga National Park and the magnificent Wilson's Promontory are easy day trips for some of the best hiking in the state. We are a 16-acre hobby farm. We run about 30 sheep who are looked after by "James" the pet Alpaca. We also have a newly established seasonal wetland project in the making. Just sit back and enjoy the local Kangaroos and abundant birdlife. Campers have access to a level and grassed, four-acre cleared open dry paddock with a treed outlook. Access is good for caravans and other RVs. You need to be self-contained, with your own camp toilet. There is water and a dump point just two minutes drive up the road. No generators please. Port Albert is steeped in history and a visit to the maritime museum is absolutely worth the time. The Alberton Hotel provides a courtesy bus if you're after a counter meal and drinks. Tarra Bulga National park is close by and provides some magnificent walks. Wilson's Promontory is a great day trip. And of course, there is always the famous Port Albert Fish and Chip shop. Well-behaved dogs welcome on leash.We don't have designated sites, you will be camping in the paddock wherever you choose, with plenty of space to offer privacy. The perimeter is treed, so there are options to find a shady spot. The paddock is cleared and level and access is good. Local attractions include the Port Albert Maritime Museum, Christopher Robinson Walking Trail, Corner Inlet andTarra Bulga National Park. Wilson's Promontory is also a great day trip. All campers must be completely self-contained. There is a dump point and water available 2 mins away in Port Albert.

We don't have designated sites, you will be camping in the paddock wherever you choose, with plenty of space to offer privacy. The perimeter is treed, so there are options to find a shady spot. We had a great time at Srockyard Paddock. Only two other rigs there, but plenty of room should more have come. Sandy and Saul met us on arrival and pointed out the wildlife including Kangaroos. A great campsite!

Beautiful property 😊 we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a stunning location. We were greeted by the friendly host and had two horses as neighbours, much to our childrens delight. We'll be back to stay again

Saul and Sandy have kept it simple, they are fellow campers and know you just want a nice easy spot to set up camp and enjoy the outdoors. The site was straight off the road through the gate and an entire paddock available to set up shop. It was private but also secure with the main house being next door but still away enough to have your own space. Saul and Sandy both make you feel very welcome on thier property.

I loved camping at Saul and Sandys. I went in winter and shared the paddock with some large kangaroos. It was peaceful and I rested well there. Saul and Sandy were very friendly and welcoming and showed us over their wonderful conservation programme which is in large part a wetland. Very important as so often wetlands are drained. I would go back there in a flash.

Such a lovely spot, Saul and Sandy are wonderful hosts. We had a lovely stay, there is a lot of room, even with other campers there it was so quiet and private. We really enjoyed ourselves and the kids loved the horses next door, they gave them loads of carrots, I think the horses will miss them :-)

Absolutely loved it! Clean, secure, quiet and friendly, not over crowded! The host had the area mowed and immaculate. We had a fabulous time and hope to return again 😁

A great, quiet paddock surrounded by trees and farmland. I was the only camper there last night, but there’s plenty of space even with other campers. Sandy was very friendly and the directions to the property were clear. Very close to town and the truly awesome fish and chip shop.

The paddock is really big. There was only 1 other guest there at during our stay but even if there had been 10 we still would have had more space than we needed. Great to have the firepit all to ourselves! Port Albert is a lovely little town with a interesting museum. Surrounding areas also nice. Yarram has everything you might need

Nice and quiet, lots of space and easy to find. Hosts were also prompt and communicative. I was able to arrive late in the evening with no issues.

Camping with Animals!

Thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing weekend escape with our two dogs and cat. A quiet location with lots of bird life, farm animals in adjoining paddocks, kangaroos at sunset and a not so sneaky fox stalking some ducks. Sandy's communication leading up to our trip was amazing, and Saul gave us a warm welcome on arrival.

Saul and Sandy are great, welcoming hosts. Sandy met us at the gate, even though it was close to 9pm! Saul came by and checked on us a couple of times including as we were having to pack up early due to a surprise weather incident. Lovely flat paddock that they don't overbook, close to Port Albert township (great fish and chips) and Yarram.

Quiet and secure site with delightful hosts. Large, level paddock. Safe from the road with easy 2-minute drive to town. Saw a few 'roos. Saul and Sandy were friendly, helpful and even gave us a tour of their property and their wetlands project. Enjoyed our stay and would be happy to do it again.

Stockyard Paddock was a great quiet spot, field flat and mowed, plenty of room and did not feel crowded. Saul always around checking to make sure you were well looked after. Great fish and chips on the wharf at Port Albert.

Great spot for a last minute camp trip near Port Albert on our road trip from Sydney to Melbourne. We checked out Tarra Bulga during the day and it's a good stopover to our next stop at Wilson's Promontory. The paddock has a firepit and some nearby farm horses that visit the fence, wasn't overly busy and plenty of space for everyone. Instructions were clear, it was reasonably priced and it was easy to find. Overly a good experience 🙂

Enjoyed staying for one night in early January at Saul and Sandy's place. We were the only people in the paddock. It was easy to get the caravan level by driving around. The paddock is quite large and has great grass and a nice fire pit that we didn't have time to use. Remember to bring insect repellent. You do need to follow the directions carefully as the entrance to the paddock is not as obvious as the driveway next to it. Port Albert is an interesting place to visit with a lot of history. We had fish and chips at the wharf which was quite filling. The Stockyard is much nicer than the RV park in town, yet is still close to everything. We will be back in the future for a longer stay.

Close to town, quiet & well-maintained flat paddock. Loved the camp fire set up & wood pile. Make sure you take precautions to protect yourself against the mosquito’s & sandflies though.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sandy’s place. She welcomed us and helped us with recommendations in the area. We had the place to ourselves and the kids enjoyed the space to kick the ball around and fly the kite. We did day trips to Wilson’s Prom, McLoughlins Beach and Woodside Beach. The paddock was flat and grass was well maintained.

Perfect camping spot for a weekend in South Gippsland. Saul & Sandy were a breeze to book with. The Stockyard Paddock was easily accessible via car, and felt very safe. The campfire setup was an added bonus too.
