The camp is in or around Shelter Hut or open grass land in your own Tent. Campers will have access to two composting toilets during their stay but you will need to bring along your own toilet paper with you. Please remove all rubbish on departure. Campfires we sell firewood and dogs are welcome but dogs aren't allowed roam freely due to wildlife.

Kielock Homestead is a unique farm stay experience located centrally in the beautiful Kiewa Valley Victoria where you can camp right on the bank of the Kiewa River. Some of the activities available include fishing, swimming, bush walking, bird and animal watching and bike riding. If you choose you can join in on farm activities such as feeding the animals,  collecting eggs and planting/harvesting fruit and vegetables. We have a small market garden available where you can pick and purchase seasonal fresh produce, alternatively vegetable boxes and eggs are available by arrangement and delivered right to your campsite. Within the 200 acres of the property you will find it is home to many animals including kangaroos wombats platypus possums, bats and many bird and marine species. The main fish in the river are  trout and cod so if you would like to try your luck fishing this is the place for you.Some of the surrounding towns include Mt Beauty (20 mins), Yackandandah (30 mins), Bright (50 mins), Beechworth (50 mins) Falls Creek (60 mins) with the border towns of Albury and Wodonga only 50 mins away. These beautiful towns contain an array of boutique wineries, craft breweries, bakeries and cafes, or you can choose to follow a farm gate food trail.The area also provides opportunities to go horse-riding, bike riding on one of the many rail trails or be adventurous on the mountain bike tracks at Falls Creek in the warmer months with snow sports in winter. The surrounding mountain ranges offer numerous famous 4wd trails or you might like to try your hand at panning for gold.This is a working farm and our animals are our family. They are very friendly but only know us and not you so please do not enter their homes without us, but feel free to talk to them over the gates. Be aware that all fences are electric and are switched on at all times. There is a dedicated communal campfire area for use when fire restrictions permit and we request that no additional fire pits are created during your stay. As this is a working property we are unable to accommodate your pets. For biosecurity reasons there is a strict No Pet policy. We look forward to greeting you upon arrival and showing you to your campsite.

Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away. Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras). Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. No motorbike riding is allowed on the property but there is the opportunity for riding the fire tracks in the adjacent forest. You can also use the property as a base for your adventure in the local region. We are located less than 15 minutes away from Moyhu where there is a fantastic cafe, pub, and shops, and Milawa, where you can enjoy the award-winning Brown Brothers winery and Milawa Cheese Company. It is also less than 30 minutes to Wangaratta, Beechworth, and Myrtleford not to mention a few minutes from the Snow road. This site is for self-sufficient campers only. All guests must have their own toilet and all waste must be taken when departing to keep the natural beauty of the area. We also ask that noise levels be kept to a minimum to preserve the peace of the surrounding wildlife. Well-behaved dogs must be kept under control at all times and must not interfere with the other animals. Maximum two dogs allowed. A flexible check-in/out time can be arranged upon request. Only 3 large campsites! Great for family groups and friends, lots of room. Kids under 5 stay free, pet friendly. North East Vic is a tourist mecca, with food and wine, lakes and rivers, cycling and markets, mountains and waterfalls. - We are only 2 and half hours from Melbourne and 30 mins off Hume Fwy, via Wangaratta. We are a working cattle farm. You cannot pat any. Please read the whole listing, lots to tell you about. Campsites 1 is large and can accommodate two vans and 2 - 3 tents (or 14 -16 people). Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people). Campsite 3 is not very flat and less well suited to tents. Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here. Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly. Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite. Campsites are NOT near water. They are near a dry gully, with an **** unfenced dam.**** We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shaded lawn area, BBQ and pot belly fire. The creek is 3kms from the campsites. Near The Hut is the gate to take a walk up to Sugar Loaf (500m return), where you can see amazing grass trees and place a rock on the cairn. Look for the wallabies that live up there. Stay with us to get away from crowded campsites, to enjoy a quieter holiday, while being close to a great tourist district. The King Valley showcases wineries, gourmet food, eateries, restaurants, pubs, brewery, even a gin distillery. We are surrounded by creeks, rivers and lakes, with many fishing, swimming and kayaking options - all within a 30 minute drive! Take a walk to the top of Sugar Loaf, and see unique grass trees on this rocky hill, while catching sight of Mount Buffalo. 8kms to Moyhu which has a pub, coffee shop, general store - all with great food options. You can get petrol, take away, gas etc.

Set on 20 acres this elevated setting features 280 degree outstanding views of the Ovens and King valleys with the alps on the not so distant horizon. Everton township only 4.5 kilometres away has a general store which offers take away food, a service station and also a lovely historical hotel. A great base to explore the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail only 1.7 Klms to Everton Station junction where you can choose your destination for the day. Also a gateway to exploring Beechworth , Eldorado and surroundings. Milawa gourmet region also close by. Pioneer Bridges is a great local swimming spot for a refreshing dip in the warmer months, located 1.5 kilometres from the Everton township. It’s also dog friendly. A plumbed toilet, sink - cold water only, also cold shower and power are available in the nearby shed (50- 70 meters) depending on where you set up. A leave no trace request also applies. Both Telstra and Optus mobile coverage at the property. In the warmer months a gazebo for additional shade is a good idea. An all weather road will accommodate most setups for access thru 12 feet roadside gate.
