These beautiful towns contain an array of boutique wineries, craft breweries, bakeries and cafes, or you can choose to follow a farm gate food trail.The area also provides opportunities to go horse-riding, bike riding on one of the many rail trails or be adventurous on the mountain bike tracks at Falls Creek in the warmer months with snow sports in winter. The surrounding mountain ranges offer numerous famous 4wd trails or you might like to try your hand at panning for gold.This is a working farm and our animals are our family. They are very friendly but only know us and not you so please do not enter their homes without us, but feel free to talk to them over the gates. Be aware that all fences are electric and are switched on at all times. There is a dedicated communal campfire area for use when fire restrictions permit and we request that no additional fire pits are created during your stay. No motorbike riding is allowed on the property but there is the opportunity for riding the fire tracks in the adjacent forest.
You can also use the property as a base for your adventure in the local region. We are located less than 15 minutes away from Moyhu where there is a fantastic cafe, pub, and shops, and Milawa, where you can enjoy the award-winning Brown Brothers winery and Milawa Cheese Company. It is also less than 30 minutes to Wangaratta, Beechworth, and Myrtleford not to mention a few minutes from the Snow road.
This site is for self-sufficient campers only. All guests must have their own toilet and all waste must be taken when departing to keep the natural beauty of the area.
We also ask that noise levels be kept to a minimum to preserve the peace of the surrounding wildlife. Well-behaved dogs must be kept under control at all times and must not interfere with the other animals. Maximum two dogs allowed. A flexible check-in/out time can be arranged upon request. - We are only 2 and half hours from Melbourne and 30 mins off Hume Fwy, via Wangaratta. We are a working cattle farm. You cannot pat any.

Campsites 1 is large and can accommodate two vans and 2 - 3 tents (or 14 -16 people).
Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people).
Campsite 3 is not very flat and less well suited to tents.
Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here.
Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly.
Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite.
Campsites are NOT near water. They are near a dry gully, with an **** unfenced dam.****
We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shaded lawn area, BBQ and pot belly fire. The creek is 3kms from the campsites.
Near The Hut is the gate to take a walk up to Sugar Loaf (500m return), where you can see amazing grass trees and place a rock on the cairn. Look for the wallabies that live up there.
Stay with us to get away from crowded campsites, to enjoy a quieter holiday, while being close to a great tourist district.
The King Valley showcases wineries, gourmet food, eateries, restaurants, pubs, brewery, even a gin distillery. We are surrounded by creeks, rivers and lakes, with many fishing, swimming and kayaking options - all within a 30 minute drive!
Take a walk to the top of Sugar Loaf, and see unique grass trees on this rocky hill, while catching sight of Mount Buffalo.
8kms to Moyhu which has a pub, coffee shop, general store - all with great food options. You can get petrol, take away, gas etc.

A plumbed toilet, sink - cold water only, also cold shower and power are available in the nearby shed (50- 70 meters) depending on where you set up. A leave no trace request also applies.
Both Telstra and Optus mobile coverage at the property.
In the warmer months a gazebo for additional shade is a good idea.
An all weather road will accommodate most setups for access thru 12 feet roadside gate.

We had an amazing stay at Glenwaters Farmstays with our group of 8. The spot overlooking the dam was perfect and made the whole experience even more special. We had a great time relaxing, enjoying the scenery, and even managed to catch a big fish!
Kim was incredibly helpful and organised a portable toilet and firewood for us before we arrived, which made everything so convenient. The views and peaceful surroundings really made it a memorable getaway. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a group camping spot!

This was our third visit to Riverside. We love it here. The kids always choose to come back here. Love that we can have firewood at the site when we arrive and our own toilet set up for us. Also love the location- proximity to the wineries Daemon and Sara are great at communication and the sites are well spaced out.

Michael is a great host. He has a great setup with an amazing outlook onto the Ovens River. It's close to town but also far enough away.
Michael was there to meet us when we arrived and it was nice to chat to him at various times over the course of our stay about information on the greater Myrtleford area, of which he has good knowledge.
Would definitely recommend this as an alternative to staying at a campground.

Happy a beautiful night next to the fire. We stopped in for the night on our way back from QLD with our two dogs. The view of the starts was something else was so magical. Woke up to a beautiful sunny day and a visit from the cows 🥰

Lovely spot great friendly hosts, river crystal clear. Hosts brought down fresh fruit from their garden for us which the wife loved. We were the only ones there so very private. Town only a few minutes away and dump spots close if u need to empty.

Our second trip to Ellimatta, spent 4 awesome days exploring the camp and wineries in the region. Plenty of fire wood and toilets were cleaned twice daily and spotless. Animals for the kids to see and easy access to our site. See you guys next year.

100% worth a visit to mount buffalo - scenery and views are well worth the visit. Make sure you have enough drinking water as not many drinking points but certainly a must see
