There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience. Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes. Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Pitch your completely self-sufficient sleeping quarters on our peaceful, flat, 7 acre property which backs onto the Bald Hill Nature Reserve and is less than five minutes drive from Kyneton’s historic Piper Street which is full of delightful restaurants and cafes. Take under an hour to drive up and explore beautiful Bendigo, experience delightful Daylesford nearby and meander around the wonderful wineries of the Macedon Ranges. Campfires are allowed subject to local fire restrictions and must be fully extinguished before you turn in for the night. Please search for the CFA website 'Fire Danger Period: Can I or Can't I?' which has all of the appropriate information. Each site has a fire pit which you can use providing it is not a total fire ban. Firewood is available at a cost to you of $50 per wheelbarrow load which will easily cover two nights. We have four separate camping locations on the property; you can easily have up to four RVs on sites 1, 2 and 4 and two on site 3. We have tried to ensure privacy for each location but you may be able to see other guests and/or the house through the many trees. Please be aware that there are two dams on the property so children should supervised at all times. My own children swim in the dam and there is a kayak available but lifejackets must be worn by children in, around and on the water to minimise risk. Pets are welcome. The kangaroos may prove quite enticing for some pets and as such we recommend dogs be kept on their leash. Site 4 has ringlock fencing and farm gates which can be helpful to contain your pets. Please be aware that the Kyneton Gun Club has their monthly clay target shoot on the 3rd Sunday of each month (2nd Sunday in December) from 11am until 5pm during which time you will hear them clay pigeon shooting. We are NOT a commercial campsite and, as such, you must be fully self-contained for power, water, showers, sewage, refuse disposal, etc. Guests under the age of 25 must be accompanied by their parents.

Pitch your completely self-sufficient sleeping quarters on our peaceful, flat, 7 acre property which backs onto the Bald Hill Nature Reserve and is less than five minutes drive from Kyneton’s historic Piper Street which is full of delightful restaurants and cafes. Take under an hour to drive up and explore beautiful Bendigo, experience delightful Daylesford nearby and meander around the wonderful wineries of the Macedon Ranges. Campfires are allowed subject to local fire restrictions and must be fully extinguished before you turn in for the night. Please search for the CFA website 'Fire Danger Period: Can I or Can't I?' which has all of the appropriate information. Each site has a fire pit which you can use providing it is not a total fire ban. Firewood is available at a cost to you of $50 per wheelbarrow load which will easily cover two nights. We have four separate camping locations on the property; you can easily have up to four RVs on sites 1, 2 and 4 and two on site 3. We have tried to ensure privacy for each location but you may be able to see other guests and/or the house through the many trees. Please be aware that there are two dams on the property so children should supervised at all times. My own children swim in the dam and there is a kayak available but lifejackets must be worn by children in, around and on the water to minimise risk. Pets are welcome. The kangaroos may prove quite enticing for some pets and as such we recommend dogs be kept on their leash. Site 4 has ringlock fencing and farm gates which can be helpful to contain your pets. Please be aware that the Kyneton Gun Club has their monthly clay target shoot on the 3rd Sunday of each month (2nd Sunday in December) from 11am until 5pm during which time you will hear them clay pigeon shooting. We are NOT a commercial campsite and, as such, you must be fully self-contained for power, water, showers, sewage, refuse disposal, etc. Guests under the age of 25 must be accompanied by their parents.

Enjoy the serenity! Bring your horses and your dog, bring your guitar, a good book, even bring a golf set and a bucket of balls. You will have 80 acres of stunning country all to yourselves. Only one booking taken at a time. No one else will be anywhere near! Self-contained campers only, please bring in what you need, and take all waste with you. Base price covers up to 8 people, with capacity capped at 12 people.  The land is characterised by rolling hills, covered by mostly open grassland, with patches of gum trees for shade, and a dam and creek. There's also a native eucalypt forest right across the road with miles of fire trails for walking and horse riding. In the cooler months, the land turns from shades of gold to greens.  There are no facilities, its just you and the land (bliss!) so ensure you have everything you need with you, and take all your waste when you leave.  If you fancy fresh fish for dinner, just down the road is Tuki Trout Farm, or nearby Cairn Curran Reservoir and Tullaroop Reservoir are great for fishing. The tourist villages of Newstead, Clunes and Maldon are all a short drive away, and Daylesford is just 35km drive.  Campfires are permitted when fire bans are not in place. NOTE: We do offer the neighbouring 50-acre paddock for hunting/shooting - with conditions. Please note, this activity is offered separately to our Hipcamp operation and needs to be organised with us directly. Also, we do not allow hunting/shooting next door, if there is a group camping already.

Scrolling the hipcamp app we stumbled across Wendy’s camp site and the single campsite & reviews hooked us in and wow what a fantastic spot. It doesn’t matter where you stay - a Hipcamp, an air bnb or a 5 star hotel it’s always the little extra things that make it stand out and make your stay somewhere you want to return. We felt this at Wendy’s - the signs to the campsite ✅ the dump point provided ✅ the fire pit ✅ peace & quiet ✅ the upkeep of the property ✅ the communication ✅ Everything was just easy, we drove out feeling recharged, relaxed and reconnected with nature. We will return to Wendy’s as it’s only an hour away but feels like we are miles from anywhere.

Please read all the info before you book... This is an ideal spot for a quiet getaway or as a home base if you want to explore the surrounding areas of Dunolly or Dunolly itself. Early mornings and late evenings you may be lucky to receive visits from Kangaroos. Camp freely around the designated campfire and enjoy an amazing star-gazing experience (on clear nights). The water hole is good for yabbies and great for skipping stones. We swim in it occasionally but prefer to go to the lake. We cannot endorse any swimming or entering the water hole as it is a liability issue and we cannot be responsible for anyone who chooses to swim or enter the area of the waterhole. Dunolly town has a great bakery, a pub, and a supermarket. Lake Laanacoorie 15 mins drive. Great for fishing, boats, and swimming. ***Pit-toilet (portable) available: - There is a pit toilet available for camper use but it's recommended to have a portaloo and use the onsite dunny as an emergency only. ***Keep Clean. -We ask that you take any rubbish with you when you leave. We would appreciate it if you could leave the property as you found it on arrival. ***Warning. -Regular pest control in the area might be a threat to your pet so please ensure that your pet does not stray too far off the property without your supervision. Pest control is usually concentrated in the state forest behind the property. ***Fire Wood: - You can BYO firewood or collect from the roadside. The state forest at the rear may be helpful but please don't cut down any trees. There is often a fallen tree that you can chop up if you have a chainsaw but it'll be easier to find on the roadside or BYO. Gooseberry Hill is a flat safe paddock area that was once home to dozens of gold miners in canvas tents seeking their luck. It is ideal for campervans and caravans. Situated just on the outskirts of Dunolly, it is very close to town amenities. There is tap water on the site near the 150 year old apple tree near the main road. You are able to camp privately well back from the road. The site once had brick buildings of shopkeepers and even a hospital - all now long gone. The double story hotel built in 1862 as a Cobb & Co coach hotel for the Gooseberry Hill gold miners, is the only building still standing. The land had a vineyard at one time, and still has a small olive grove and quince trees. It was used in the 1870's as a sporting ground with events such as brass bands, Lantern Parades and even a formal Ball in the adjoining Cobb & Co Hotel. It was a wild and rough time in the gold mining days with a double murder at the butchers shop on the site. There was also a Chinese Camp nearby, as well as gambling dens. All the trees were removed in the 1860's for mining, but now vegetation is being restored. At the rear of the property is the quarry and old diggings. it is an interesting walk but beware of old mining shafts and deep diggings. In summer time watch out for snakes. Kangaroos, wallabies and echidnas are all around the property.

We offer a number of camping sites, but there is so much space, you'll be able to easily find a private and peaceful patch. All fields have wonderful views and are easily accessible. We don't however have toilets, so please ensure you are fully self-contained, with your own camp toilet. Campfires are permitted depending on local fire restrictions and ratings. Please ask if you’re unsure of the conditions during your stay. We recommend BYO firewood, as there is a limited amount of fallen timber around the grounds. We're also pet friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friends along. We are a working farm, with mostly cattle and sheep, so enjoy watching happy animals grazing and the local wildlife going about their day. The property is very well located to be a base camp for day trips throughout the southwest. Things to do in the local vicinity include plenty of options for walking, bike riding and horse trails, plus countless lakes including the nearby Deep Lake and Lake Ettrick (or Tooliorook) - both wonderful for swimming and stocked with fish. These lakes provide excellent opportunities for boating, water sports and fishing. There are also plenty of great local pubs and attractions, all within a short distance. Private property nestled in the Barrm Birrm Nature Reserve, this spot is ideal for hikers looking for a secluded escape that is still close to Melbourne. The site is on a 'street' disguised as a goat track, and is only accessible by foot. It's around 500m from the (drivable) dirt road. The site is close enough to town to get excellent mobile coverage (and supplies!). There is a permanent picnic table on the site and nothing else. We only hire the site out to one group at a time, so you know you'll have the whole acre to yourself. A fire can be lit only in strict accordance with local restrictions, so be sure to check the current requirements. Barrm Birrm is a special place, full of wildlife and native vegetation, so we ask that you leave the place exactly as you found it. There are no toilets or water close by, so prepare accordingly. ;) Please enjoy this gorgeous space as much as we do.

Pitch your completely self-sufficient sleeping quarters on our peaceful, flat, 53 acre property which is a 12 minute drive from Kyneton and Woodend, both with a fabulous selection of delightful restaurants, cafes, pubs, wine bars. There is a local taxi service if guests would like to go out for lunch or dinner with wine and/or cocktails at some of the delicious cafes, restaurants & bars: in Kyneton we love Little Swallow Cafe, Home Grown, Miss M's Lounge, Dhaba, Fook Shing, and Botanik Balcony. In Woodend we love Bangkok House, Tram Place, Las Margaritas, 600 Above, Milko, Fox in the Chamber & Gindu. Kangaroos often bounce through the property at dusk & dawn not to mention stunning sunrises & sunsets. There is a lovely quiet bike ride or walk along our road with minimal traffic. Campfires are allowed subject to local fire restrictions & must be fully extinguished before you turn in for the night. Please search for the CFA 'Fire Danger Period: Can I or Can't I?' which has all of the appropriate information. Each site has a fire pit which you can use providing it is not a total fire ban. Firewood is available at a cost to you of $50 per wheelbarrow load which will easily cover two nights. This is the main source of fuel for our home so if you burn the wood, we have paid to have split on our property we’ll have to replace it to keep our family warm. You are not permitted to use a chainsaw on our property. We have 3 separate camping locations on the property. All 3 sites are easily accessible for RVs and camp trailers. We are NOT a commercial campsite and, as such, you must be fully self-contained for power, water, showers, sewage, refuse disposal, etc. Rubbish cannot be left on our property.

The site can accommodate up to 30 campers, and you'll have full use of the hall and all facilities. An amazing place for large groups to hold events, and gatherings and only an hour from Melbourne.
