Hi there and welcome to my home, Penzance! I fell in love with this slice of heaven in 2010 and adore every back breaking inch of it. It was an overgrown mess at the time, covered in broken bricks and beer cans. I've tried to keep the bush aspect whilst creating a park-like surround with plenty of grassy space. I have big plans for this land and hope to build a steam museum in another area over the creek. Excitingly, I will also be establishing a blacksmiths forge in that area, which was moved piece by piece from an historic farm at Avoca. Chris is an engineer, antique restorer and artisan working from home.
I offer one site so privacy is assured. Larger groups can be accommodated, please enquire if you'd like to learn more.

The Korweingy Recreation Reserve is a wonderful country hall and oval. It is 12 minutes from Daylesford and in the heart of the Wombat State Forest. It has a huge hall, kitchen, toilets and showers, and a huge oval. It even has a little lounge area.
The oval is the same dimensions AS THE MCG! The site can accommodate up to 30 campers, and you'll have full use of the hall and all facilities. An amazing place for large groups to hold events, and gatherings and only an hour from Melbourne.

There are no facilities, its just you and the land (bliss!) so ensure you have everything you need with you, and take all your waste when you leave.
If you fancy fresh fish for dinner, just down the road is Tuki Trout Farm, or nearby Cairn Curran Reservoir and Tullaroop Reservoir are great for fishing. The tourist villages of Newstead, Clunes and Maldon are all a short drive away, and Daylesford is just 35km drive.

Pitch your completely self-sufficient sleeping quarters on our peaceful, flat, 7 acre property which backs onto the Bald Hill Nature Reserve and is less than five minutes drive from Kyneton’s historic Piper Street which is full of delightful restaurants and cafes.
Take under an hour to drive up and explore beautiful Bendigo, experience delightful Daylesford nearby and meander around the wonderful wineries of the Macedon Ranges.
Campfires are allowed subject to local fire restrictions and must be fully extinguished before you turn in for the night. Please search for the CFA website 'Fire Danger Period: Can I or Can't I?' which has all of the appropriate information. Each site has a fire pit which you can use providing it is not a total fire ban.
Firewood is available at a cost to you of $50 per wheelbarrow load which will easily cover two nights.
We have four separate camping locations on the property; you can easily have up to four RVs on sites 1, 2 and 4 and two on site 3. We have tried to ensure privacy for each location but you may be able to see other guests and/or the house through the many trees.
Please be aware that there are two dams on the property so children should supervised at all times. My own children swim in the dam and there is a kayak available but lifejackets must be worn by children in, around and on the water to minimise risk.
Pets are welcome. The kangaroos may prove quite enticing for some pets and as such we recommend dogs be kept on their leash. Site 4 has ringlock fencing and farm gates which can be helpful to contain your pets.
Please be aware that the Kyneton Gun Club has their monthly clay target shoot on the 3rd Sunday of each month (2nd Sunday in December) from 11am until 5pm during which time you will hear them clay pigeon shooting.
We are NOT a commercial campsite and, as such, you must be fully self-contained for power, water, showers, sewage, refuse disposal, etc.
Guests under the age of 25 must be accompanied by their parents.

We have 5 sites to offer at Sundar Goldfields Camping. Our 50 acre property features undulating bushland with views of farmlands, wetlands and distant mountains. The name is Hindi for "beautiful". Our rammed earth home sits in the middle of the property and our camping sites are located between our house and the road into the property.
We are situated halfway between Maldon and Castlemaine with easy access to both these two interesting towns that attract many tourists to the region.
Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.
The individual sites are called Wetlands 1, 2 and 3 (blue signs), Mountain View (green signs), Gully View (purple signs), The Ridge (orange signs) and Billabong 1 and 2 (yellow signs) . It is unlikely you will hear other guests as there is a good distance between sites. The largest site is Mountain View and can accommodate the most number of guests and is well suited to caravans. Wetlands View has 3 different site options that all overlook the large dam and birdlife that frequent the wetlands. You can select the one that feels right for you. On the other side of the dam is the two Billabong sites. Billabong 2 is open and close to the road, it can accommodate a large group plus caravans. Billabong 1 is a small site that is set in the bush and overlooks the paddock and dam. Gully View and The Ridge are near each other and are secluded and surrounded by bushland. These sites do not have water views and the entrance is located 60m from the front gate, on the right side of our road into the property.
Kangaroos and cockatoos are regular visitors to our property. Bird life is abundant and we sometimes see Echidnas and Shingleback lizards.
It is a peaceful area and close to the steam train track so the train can be heard in the distance on the days that the Victorian Goldfields Railway service runs. There are great walks from the property towards the Maldon-Castlemaine rail trail. We supply firewood, if required, and camp fires are allowed at certain times of the year. Reg has great knowledge about our native animals/birds plus gold prospecting and is available to chat if you what to hear his yarns. Simply let us know and he will visit whilst you are camping. He also offers tuition on gold prospecting.

It was an overgrown mess at the time, covered in broken bricks and beer cans. I've tried to keep the bush aspect whilst creating a park-like surround with plenty of grassy space. I have big plans for this land and hope to build a steam museum in another area over the creek. Excitingly, I will also be establishing a blacksmiths forge in that area, which was moved piece by piece from an historic farm at Avoca. Chris is an engineer, antique restorer and artisan working from home.

Pitch your completely self-sufficient sleeping quarters on our peaceful, flat, 7 acre property which backs onto the Bald Hill Nature Reserve and is less than five minutes drive from Kyneton’s historic Piper Street which is full of delightful restaurants and cafes.
Take under an hour to drive up and explore beautiful Bendigo, experience delightful Daylesford nearby and meander around the wonderful wineries of the Macedon Ranges.
Campfires are allowed subject to local fire restrictions and must be fully extinguished before you turn in for the night. Please search for the CFA website 'Fire Danger Period: Can I or Can't I?' which has all of the appropriate information. Each site has a fire pit which you can use providing it is not a total fire ban.
Firewood is available at a cost to you of $50 per wheelbarrow load which will easily cover two nights.
We have four separate camping locations on the property; you can easily have up to four RVs on sites 1, 2 and 4 and two on site 3. We have tried to ensure privacy for each location but you may be able to see other guests and/or the house through the many trees.
Please be aware that there are two dams on the property so children should supervised at all times. My own children swim in the dam and there is a kayak available but lifejackets must be worn by children in, around and on the water to minimise risk.
Pets are welcome. The kangaroos may prove quite enticing for some pets and as such we recommend dogs be kept on their leash. Site 4 has ringlock fencing and farm gates which can be helpful to contain your pets.
Please be aware that the Kyneton Gun Club has their monthly clay target shoot on the 3rd Sunday of each month (2nd Sunday in December) from 11am until 5pm during which time you will hear them clay pigeon shooting.
We are NOT a commercial campsite and, as such, you must be fully self-contained for power, water, showers, sewage, refuse disposal, etc.

We have 5 sites to offer at Sundar Goldfields Camping. Our 50 acre property features undulating bushland with views of farmlands, wetlands and distant mountains. The name is Hindi for "beautiful". Our rammed earth home sits in the middle of the property and our camping sites are located between our house and the road into the property.
We are situated halfway between Maldon and Castlemaine with easy access to both these two interesting towns that attract many tourists to the region.
Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.
The individual sites are called Wetlands 1, 2 and 3 (blue signs), Mountain View (green signs), Gully View (purple signs), The Ridge (orange signs) and Billabong 1 and 2 (yellow signs) . It is unlikely you will hear other guests as there is a good distance between sites. The largest site is Mountain View and can accommodate the most number of guests and is well suited to caravans. Wetlands View has 3 different site options that all overlook the large dam and birdlife that frequent the wetlands. You can select the one that feels right for you. On the other side of the dam is the two Billabong sites. Billabong 2 is open and close to the road, it can accommodate a large group plus caravans. Billabong 1 is a small site that is set in the bush and overlooks the paddock and dam. Gully View and The Ridge are near each other and are secluded and surrounded by bushland. These sites do not have water views and the entrance is located 60m from the front gate, on the right side of our road into the property.
Kangaroos and cockatoos are regular visitors to our property. Bird life is abundant and we sometimes see Echidnas and Shingleback lizards.
It is a peaceful area and close to the steam train track so the train can be heard in the distance on the days that the Victorian Goldfields Railway service runs. There are great walks from the property towards the Maldon-Castlemaine rail trail. We supply firewood, if required, and camp fires are allowed at certain times of the year. Reg has great knowledge about our native animals/birds plus gold prospecting and is available to chat if you what to hear his yarns. Simply let us know and he will visit whilst you are camping. He also offers tuition on gold prospecting.

We absolutely loved our stay here, John was super hospitable and friendly, and checked in on us throughout the stay to make sure everything was ok. The property was gorgeous, lovely hills and trees and backing into a forest, we saw kangaroos and wallabies hop through, and there were rams in the paddock who were friendly but kept their distance. I would come back in a heartbeat, a truely lovely stay.

Lovely paddock camp-site along a seasonal creek. Flat ground for parking. There were 3 other camp groups while we were there but felt private and peaceful. We could hear the other campers enjoying themselves.
Set behind a gentle slope, creek has lovely reeds and some big tree.

Top notch spot with a ledgend for a host, takes you far enough in that you really do get that bush feel while having very clean toilets and showers for the wife and not too far to get back on the road epic compromise. Pauls an absolute ledgend super friendly and always a message away dont let one negative comment sway you, totally will be back again.

We had a great time over Easter camping at John’s place. Amenities were great and John was very accommodating. There is enough space between the campsites to feel secluded and it was lovely to say hello to the goats each morning

We totally loved our long weekend get away at Misty Mornings. It is a beautiful property with views across rolling grassed hills to the east and a forested backdrop to the west. Curious sheep walked past our camp by day with the mornings and evenings being the domain of the kangaroos. Eagles soared overhead during the day.
The location is perfect for exploring nearby Ballan, Blackwood, Ballarat and Daylesford and then spending the evening relaxing and chatting around the camp fire.
The whole experience is then just made perfect with Ally being the perfect host. So warm, attentive and friendly.

First time at blue stone barn but long time visitor to Marks farm. Never want to leave a review because want to keep this absolute slice of paradise a secret. But honestly, it’s just the best. We always have the best time, and always look forward to catching up with Mark when we arrive because he is the nicest most genuine bloke ever. The peace and quiet, and the blanket of stars cure all ailments.

Who would have thought .... Just two hours from Melbourne and you find yourself on a multi-generational working family farm surrounded by 360 degree majestic views and serenaded by a multitude of native birds and the hum of nature. Nearly all the carefully positioned camp sites, which are very generous in size, face the tranquil stream meandering through the property. The fish are jumping in the stream and we saw a platypus swimming through. We (including our two pugs) absolutely loved our week stay here, so much so that we have already booked another two week stay next year. Thanks Mark you are the perfect host, greeting us on arrival and sharing stories about your beautiful property. We look forward to returing for another totalling relaxing stay.

Our stay at Rodborough Vale was fantastic. Sites were a long way from each other so we felt like we were there on our own.
So close to the water and we had our own little beach and swimming spot. Beautiful gums along the creek. Sky at night was magic
Mark was great host welcomed us and checked in on us. Milly the dog was very friendly and enjoyed a pat. Mark pointed out landmarks on the property which we were then able to walk to. Had a great stay and look forward to back

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Very well distributed and lots of privacy for each campsite.
We camped with 4-year-old toddlers and they had a great time! Next to the creek and open areas to explore.
toilets only a few minutes away driving (inside the property, clean!!!!
Must come back at some point!
