Our property, called 'Number 1', has been family owned for 5 generations and operates as a working cattle breeding farm. It backs onto the beautiful Pyrennes Ranges, and is surrounded by state forest on all sides. On the northern boundary we border the pristine Mt Sugarloaf Reservoir stocked with Redfin and home to some beautiful wildlife. We are in close proximity to some well known wineries of the region such Summerfields, Mt Avoca and The Pyrenees. Enjoy a quick day out to any of these wineries and it will be a day filled with delightful food and superb wine. If you'd rather enjoy the great outdoors, Number 1 will provide endless amounts of entertainment and fun outdoor activities. Make sure to say hello to all the resident cattle, goats, and horses during your stay!

Awesome peacefulness!
I was a lone camper with my dogs! Beautiful area to camp, awesome scenery and walks. Walked up the Sugarloaf Track, great walk and scenery. Proper camping, no disturbances, just nature at it's best! Rick was great, took me around the farm and explained the running of the farm, got to join in and help feed the Hereford herd and their calves. The site was great, Rick supplied me with more than enough firewood. Will definitely be going back, thanks Rick!

Great location! We had the a great time with our two kids and little doggo. The site was peaceful, and private. Rick was a friendly host and was keen to tell us about things to do and see locally as well as the work he was doing on his farm the following day. We enjoyed watching the cattle being herded into another paddock. Wish we had some luck fishing though! If we get a chance would love to stay again one day.

Dry creek site
Easter Family Camping
Rick was helpful and super friendly, the Dry Creek site was well maintained and a great camping spot. We had a tent, and two vans and had no issues with flat ground to set up. The fireplace was well placed and on the cooler nights, definitely welcome. A quick swim in the large dam/lake helped to freshen us up in the hot weather, and anything else we needed was within easy access in either Avoca (about 10mins drive) or Maryborough (about 20mins drive). Dogs off lead meant our furry family members also enjoyed themselves. Thank you Rick and Julie for hosting our Easter camping trip this year, we had a great stay!

What an awesome place to come and relax, between the hikes wineries and reservoir there is plenty to keep you entertained and relaxed at the same time, highly recommend and we will be back, next time with more people. Rick was fantastic and good for a yarn.
