Lovely spot with views of the dam and surrounding nature. Reg and Jannine were very welcoming, and great communicators. Thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay, would recommend!

A delightful haven with well spaced sites in pretty easy reach of the Castlemaine to Maldon rail trail. Perfect for a base to explore the delights of the region and relax afterwards with birdsong in the background.. Thanks Reg and Janine for the great communication and sharing your place.

We recently stayed at "Gully View," which, while not the most scenic site on this property, offered a peaceful and authentic bush experience. The natural openness of the site provided a serene atmosphere that allowed us to unwind and connect with nature. The host was also excellent, providing helpful updates on local happenings, which added a nice touch to our stay. We felt at ease leaving our camp unattended to explore the nearby attractions around Maldon and Castlemaine, which are well worth a visit.

We loved the place, quiet and peaceful.
We stayed by the billabong, which was great for the dogs, they had an amazing time.
We will most definitely come back and will recommend to everyone we know.

I had a lovely stay at Billabong site 1.
Reg was very welcoming and informative. The land is spacious and peaceful, there was basically no noise at all during my stay so it felt like my dog and I were the only ones around.

The area is so well kept and relaxing. I never once felt like I was staying on someone’s property but more just a pretty, safe lovely area surrounded by birds, trees and other wildlife. This was my dobermans first camping trip so I was nervous how she would go but the whole environment was perfect for her to run explore and feel totally welcomed by the amazing hosts.
Reg and Jannine are at the very least, helpful, welcoming and never made us feel like this was a checkin checkout kind of place and I can honestly say of all the places we’ve been, it’s definitely one of my favourites. Would come back without hesitation.

We love camping at the Mountain View! My fur baby had a great time running around the open land. Jannine and husband are very welcoming, easy to talk to and can be flexible with the time we check in and out. We found another go to place for camping! Definitely coming back!

Our wetlands site was wonderful! A very secluded and peaceful place right on the dam bank. There was plenty of firewood and we even managed to catch some yabbies out of the dam. Reg met us on arrival and gave us an interesting talk on the local wildlife.

Wetlands was a very special spot. We were able to choose from 3 different camp sites and had the beautiful view of the dam. The bush land was gorgeous and the bird life was great. It was a quiet place, but we were also able to walk to Muckleford station to watch the steam train pass through (sat & Sun). Janinne and Reg made us feel really welcome

Very easy to get to, with sites all at the front of the property, boasting easy drive in/through sites with all unique qualities. Sites where flat and cleared making base camp set up easy. Each site was nicely sectioned out from one another, giving just enough space to be private from each other and setting a nice limit of visitors onsite. Jannine was very easy to communicate with and always available to contact and meeting Reg was a pleasure making us feel safe, secure and welcolmed on the wonderful bush property. Boasting a land for wildlife we camped right when the native orchids started blooming, the frogs in full chorus, the yabbies bright blue and the birds in full glory. It was great to be out bush but still only 15-20mins away from larger townships and only just up the road you could visit the historical steam railways (you could hear the steam engine from the property) or Mount Tarrengorrow lookout (highly reccomend).

We had the best camp and the host was friendly, meeting us when we arrived to show us where our camp site was, he even started a fire for us to keep warm. Would recommend this Hipcamp. We will come back to camp here again.

Two night stay at the Mountainview campsite was the perfect start to our off grid adventures. The perfect location: views, birdsong, grazing sheep, kangaroo sightings. Ideal spot to sit by the fire and chill out with a book and a glass of wine. A frosty morning only added to the beauty of the stay. Thanks Sundar Camping hope to be back again soon.

This was a great little site close to Maldon. We were on the dam view site...which had heaps of space, loads of firewood to collect, enough shade and just overall so peaceful and easy. Owner was friendly. Great views over the water but also back through the trees over the hills. Totally recommend this if you are in the area and is really close to Maldon and Castlemaine about 12 minutes or so away. Thank you

Not the best pick of the available sites on this property but it is very serene and offers good security at the mid point between Castlemaine and Maldon - only 12 minutes to either. It is a natural fairly open bush site catering well to tents or smaller vans. We felt very comfortable leaving our camp un-attended to explore the local attractions of which there are many.
The hosts were very gracious, communicated well and had even collected some firewood for us!

Great spot. Lots of shade and space in three spots around the dam. Sooo much firewood lying about too. Friendly hosts. You could see other camp spots nearby but still felt very private. Lots of wildlife to see and maldon is very close with shops cafes and supermarket.

We really enjoyed the views over the fields either watching the sheep, kangaroos or the amazing full moon that popped up on our first night. There were no other campers at the time, so it was super quiet, just lots of beautiful birds and frogs to listen to. Jannine & Reg respected our privacy and we had a really great chat with Reg on our last night. Definitely talk to him, if you want to learn more about birds, gold prospecting & the area in general. We didn't know about all the gold mining in the area and had a great time taking our dog on a trail to porcupine village (unfortunately not open, but it looked amazing from the outside) & we couldn't believe how gorgeous and lovely Maldon was, which is a 1.5h walk from the farm. The ground was a bit firm, so it was good that we use screw in tent pegs and although we struggled a bit at first with picking a spot due to lots of bull ants around, they didn't actually bother us or our dog at all. Could also just be lots due to the time of year and/or the recent weather conditions. Communication pre arrival was also fantastic.

The wetlands had a gorgeous view of the water 🌅 Sunsets were divine. This location is incredible for birdlife, with nesting galahs, and a heron dropping by the water. Jannine & Reg helped me out, & were great to chat with. They also left me with plenty of peace and quiet. This camp site is an easy drive from Melb. You'll occasionally hear cars & the odd spot of neighbour chainsawing. The birds made more noise than anything else 😆 I can't recommend this campsite enough, it was just what I needed to unwind by the water.

Our family of five enjoyed our stay at the Mountain View site (all the sites looked great). It was private and there were plenty of options for our tents plus a fire place to enjoy in the evenings. We’d definitely stay again.

Beautiful property with peaceful surroundings and plenty to explore. We stayed at the Mountain View site which was very spacious for our van and tent. The campfire pit kept our boys entertained the whole night. Thanks Reg for your hospitality and sharing your knowledge about prospecting!

The Wetlands view was such a beautiful spot to camp, and the property is 7 minutes to Maldon but far enough away to feel secluded, on a very quiet road. You'll wake up to ducks in the wetlands, magpies calling and red wattle birds chirping. Great spot to have a nice fire as well. Janine and her partner were great hosts, greeting us on arrival with friendly tips and even printed us out what events were on around the area. Janine's partner let us have some firelighters and even cut down a dead tree for us for extra dry firewood, which was much appreciated on a wet weekend. Would highly recommend to others.
