The Korweingy Recreation Reserve is a wonderful country hall and oval. It is 12 minutes from Daylesford and in the heart of the Wombat State Forest. It has a huge hall, kitchen, toilets and showers, and a huge oval. It even has a little lounge area.
The oval is the same dimensions AS THE MCG! The site can accommodate up to 30 campers, and you'll have full use of the hall and all facilities. An amazing place for large groups to hold events, and gatherings and only an hour from Melbourne.
Enjoy all the area has to offer, and come back to your own paradise in the bush. Wake up to roos on the oval and enjoy a barbie with your group.

With no camping permitted at Anakie Gorge, our property gives you a tranquil overnight stay in direct proximity for an early start to the Anakie Gorge Walk without having to drive home at the end of the day. Choose from 3 carefully selected camp sites and set up base camp to enjoy day trips exploring the local wineries, such as del Rios, walking and cycling trails of the You Yangs State Park, and Serendip Wildlife Sanctuary, or as a convenient overnight stop on your way to explore the Great Ocean Road
The camping area is easily accessed from maintained roads, where guests can drive in and park on the spacious lower paddock (no reversing or 3-point-turns necessary).
As this beautiful, secluded location is off-grid, guests will need to be Self Contained (BYO toilet/shower) and Leave No Trace.
If you would like to enjoy our property all to yourself, simply book two of the campsites, and send us a message and we will happily reserve the 3rd campsite for your group free of charge. We are happy to consider additional guests and up to 1 extra vehicle per campsite (camping with your friends, their kids and yours is more fun!) however, ensure to contact the Host to request and arrange this at the time of booking.
We expect our guests to be quiet and respectful to neighbouring farming families/properties. Parties and large groups are strictly not permitted. Please take everything with you and leave the site as you found it. Extra charges will apply for any rubbish, food scraps etc left on site.
Amenities: ‘Long Drop’ toilets, BBQs and picnic tables are available a short walk away at the Anakie Gorge Picnic grounds. When visiting the Anakie Gorge Walk/Picnic Grounds (Brisbane Ranges National Park) please observe and abide by the rules of Parks Victoria.
Due to our immediate proximity to farms and the Brisbane Ranges National Park the following are strictly NOT permitted: dogs, cats, pets, drones. Strictly NO fires, NO firearms, NO hunting permitted.
Fire Danger Period – CURRENT to 1st of May 2024.
We are currently in the Fire Danger Period, which means there are restrictions on what people legally can and can’t do with regard to outdoor fires (campfires, camp cooking, fires, BBQs, stoves) or anything that may produce a spark; campers may want to bring food/drink that doesn't require cooking or heating, or use the BBQs at the Anakie Gorge Picnic area IF conditions allow this. For specifics of what people are legally allowed to do or not do with regard to open air fires/cooking etc please read the information on the CFA Victoria website for fire warnings, fire bans ratings and restrictions and the "Can I? Can't I?" section for the Central region.
Total Fire Ban Days: On total fire ban days strictly NO flames or sparks, no exceptions.
For the safety of our guests, bookings falling on Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating days will be cancelled and campers will be reimbursed.
Severe Weather and Bushfire: Please make yourself aware of bushfire or other severe weather warnings (e.g. ABC Emergency or Emergency Victoria) for UP-TO-DATE information, especially during the fire danger period.
Safety and Hazards: You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of those in your care. Hazards to be aware of: snakes, uneven ground, trees or loose/falling limbs (it is your responsibility to set up your camp in an area you deem free of hazards).
Flash flooding of Stony Creek (this is rare, however, please observe weather warnings at the time of camping). Please make yourself aware of bushfire or other severe weather warnings (e.g. ABC Emergency or Emergency Victoria) for UP-TO-DATE information, especially during the fire danger period. On Total Fire Ban days strictly NO flames or sparks, no exceptions.
Other things to be aware of: No mobile phone reception. You might achieve some mobile phone reception if you head back up Gorge Road to Staughton Vale Road, though this is dependent on your mobile phone provider and cannot be guaranteed.
Please check, temporary closures to the Anakie Gorge and/or the Brisbane Ranges and trail access requirements. Before commencing on bush walks, check local weather and bushfire advice for planned burns and bushfire warnings and let someone know before you go. Plan ahead and hike safely.

Pitch your completely self-sufficient sleeping quarters on our peaceful, flat, 7 acre property which backs onto the Bald Hill Nature Reserve and is less than five minutes drive from Kyneton’s historic Piper Street which is full of delightful restaurants and cafes.
Take under an hour to drive up and explore beautiful Bendigo, experience delightful Daylesford nearby and meander around the wonderful wineries of the Macedon Ranges.
Campfires are allowed subject to local fire restrictions and must be fully extinguished before you turn in for the night. Please search for the CFA website 'Fire Danger Period: Can I or Can't I?' which has all of the appropriate information. Each site has a fire pit which you can use providing it is not a total fire ban.
Firewood is available at a cost to you of $50 per wheelbarrow load which will easily cover two nights.
We have four separate camping locations on the property; you can easily have up to four RVs on sites 1, 2 and 4 and two on site 3. We have tried to ensure privacy for each location but you may be able to see other guests and/or the house through the many trees.
Please be aware that there are two dams on the property so children should supervised at all times. My own children swim in the dam and there is a kayak available but lifejackets must be worn by children in, around and on the water to minimise risk.
Pets are welcome. The kangaroos may prove quite enticing for some pets and as such we recommend dogs be kept on their leash. Site 4 has ringlock fencing and farm gates which can be helpful to contain your pets.
Please be aware that the Kyneton Gun Club has their monthly clay target shoot on the 3rd Sunday of each month (2nd Sunday in December) from 11am until 5pm during which time you will hear them clay pigeon shooting.
We are NOT a commercial campsite and, as such, you must be fully self-contained for power, water, showers, sewage, refuse disposal, etc.
Guests under the age of 25 must be accompanied by their parents.

We have 5 sites to offer at Sundar Goldfields Camping. Our 50 acre property features undulating bushland with views of farmlands, wetlands and distant mountains. The name is Hindi for "beautiful". Our rammed earth home sits in the middle of the property and our camping sites are located between our house and the road into the property.
We are situated halfway between Maldon and Castlemaine with easy access to both these two interesting towns that attract many tourists to the region.
Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.
The individual sites are called Wetlands 1, 2 and 3 (blue signs), Mountain View (green signs), Gully View (purple signs), The Ridge (orange signs) and Billabong 1 and 2 (yellow signs) . It is unlikely you will hear other guests as there is a good distance between sites. The largest site is Mountain View and can accommodate the most number of guests and is well suited to caravans. Wetlands View has 3 different site options that all overlook the large dam and birdlife that frequent the wetlands. You can select the one that feels right for you. On the other side of the dam is the two Billabong sites. Billabong 2 is open and close to the road, it can accommodate a large group plus caravans. Billabong 1 is a small site that is set in the bush and overlooks the paddock and dam. Gully View and The Ridge are near each other and are secluded and surrounded by bushland. These sites do not have water views and the entrance is located 60m from the front gate, on the right side of our road into the property.
Kangaroos and cockatoos are regular visitors to our property. Bird life is abundant and we sometimes see Echidnas and Shingleback lizards.
It is a peaceful area and close to the steam train track so the train can be heard in the distance on the days that the Victorian Goldfields Railway service runs. There are great walks from the property towards the Maldon-Castlemaine rail trail. We supply firewood, if required, and camp fires are allowed at certain times of the year. Reg has great knowledge about our native animals/birds plus gold prospecting and is available to chat if you what to hear his yarns. Simply let us know and he will visit whilst you are camping. He also offers tuition on gold prospecting.

This is an ideal spot for a quiet getaway or as a home base if you want to explore the surrounding areas of Dunolly or Dunolly itself.
Early mornings and late evenings you may be lucky to receive visits from Kangaroos. Camp freely around the designated campfire and enjoy an amazing star-gazing experience (on clear nights).
The water hole is good for yabbies and great for skipping stones. We swim in it occasionally but prefer to go to the lake. We cannot endorse any swimming or entering the water hole as it is a liability issue and we cannot be responsible for anyone who chooses to swim or enter the area of the waterhole.
Dunolly town has a great bakery, a pub, and a supermarket.
Lake Laanacoorie 15 mins drive. Great for fishing, boats, and swimming.
***Pit-toilet (portable) available:
- There is a pit toilet available for camper use but it's recommended to have a portaloo and use the onsite dunny as an emergency only.
***Keep Clean.
-We ask that you take any rubbish with you when you leave. We would appreciate it if you could leave the property as you found it on arrival.
***Warning.
-Regular pest control in the area might be a threat to your pet so please ensure that your pet does not stray too far off the property without your supervision. Pest control is usually concentrated in the state forest behind the property.
***Fire Wood:
- You can BYO firewood or collect from the roadside. The state forest at the rear may be helpful but please don't cut down any trees. There is often a fallen tree that you can chop up if you have a chainsaw but it'll be easier to find on the roadside or BYO. If I'm able to provide firewood it'll be stacked but this is not something to depend on as it just depends on availability and time that I may not have.

-The campsite is close to the water hole which means it's also at the front of the property and approx 120m from the main road. You will see a vehicle passing by maybe once per hour in the daytime.

This acreage was historically a larger soldiers settlements property comprising a dairy, piggery and wool farming. The quality of the land hasn't changed with most of the region's farmland in use, so this is a cool place to stay in the Macedon Ranges.
Currently home to our family, the property is also visited by many native Australian birdlife species, many marsupials including kangaroos, echidna, possums and even a koala.
With close proximity to coffee shops and local stores of Romsey and Lancefield Providore, you have only a few minutes to drive to stock up on local produce.
Walking the trails around Hanging Rock is a 10-minute drive and Mt Macedon lookout 15min.

The oval is the same dimensions AS THE MCG! The site can accommodate up to 30 campers, and you'll have full use of the hall and all facilities. An amazing place for large groups to hold events, and gatherings and only an hour from Melbourne.

The camping area is easily accessed from maintained roads, where guests can drive in and park on the spacious lower paddock (no reversing or 3-point-turns necessary).
As this beautiful, secluded location is off-grid, guests will need to be Self Contained (BYO toilet/shower) and Leave No Trace.
If you would like to enjoy our property all to yourself, simply book two of the campsites, and send us a message and we will happily reserve the 3rd campsite for your group free of charge. We expect our guests to be quiet and respectful to neighbouring farming families/properties. Parties and large groups are strictly not permitted. Please take everything with you and leave the site as you found it. Extra charges will apply for any rubbish, food scraps etc left on site.
Amenities: ‘Long Drop’ toilets, BBQs and picnic tables are available a short walk away at the Anakie Gorge Picnic grounds. When visiting the Anakie Gorge Walk/Picnic Grounds (Brisbane Ranges National Park) please observe and abide by the rules of Parks Victoria.
Due to our immediate proximity to farms and the Brisbane Ranges National Park the following are strictly NOT permitted: dogs, cats, pets, drones. Strictly NO fires, NO firearms, NO hunting permitted.

Severe Weather and Bushfire: Please make yourself aware of bushfire or other severe weather warnings (e.g. ABC Emergency or Emergency Victoria) for UP-TO-DATE information, especially during the fire danger period.
Safety and Hazards: You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of those in your care. Hazards to be aware of: snakes, uneven ground, trees or loose/falling limbs (it is your responsibility to set up your camp in an area you deem free of hazards).
Flash flooding of Stony Creek (this is rare, however, please observe weather warnings at the time of camping). Pitch your completely self-sufficient sleeping quarters on our peaceful, flat, 7 acre property which backs onto the Bald Hill Nature Reserve and is less than five minutes drive from Kyneton’s historic Piper Street which is full of delightful restaurants and cafes.
Take under an hour to drive up and explore beautiful Bendigo, experience delightful Daylesford nearby and meander around the wonderful wineries of the Macedon Ranges.
Campfires are allowed subject to local fire restrictions and must be fully extinguished before you turn in for the night. Please search for the CFA website 'Fire Danger Period: Can I or Can't I?' which has all of the appropriate information. Each site has a fire pit which you can use providing it is not a total fire ban.
Firewood is available at a cost to you of $50 per wheelbarrow load which will easily cover two nights.
We have four separate camping locations on the property; you can easily have up to four RVs on sites 1, 2 and 4 and two on site 3. We have tried to ensure privacy for each location but you may be able to see other guests and/or the house through the many trees.
Please be aware that there are two dams on the property so children should supervised at all times. My own children swim in the dam and there is a kayak available but lifejackets must be worn by children in, around and on the water to minimise risk.
Pets are welcome. The kangaroos may prove quite enticing for some pets and as such we recommend dogs be kept on their leash. Site 4 has ringlock fencing and farm gates which can be helpful to contain your pets.
Please be aware that the Kyneton Gun Club has their monthly clay target shoot on the 3rd Sunday of each month (2nd Sunday in December) from 11am until 5pm during which time you will hear them clay pigeon shooting.
We are NOT a commercial campsite and, as such, you must be fully self-contained for power, water, showers, sewage, refuse disposal, etc.
Guests under the age of 25 must be accompanied by their parents.

We have 5 sites to offer at Sundar Goldfields Camping. Our 50 acre property features undulating bushland with views of farmlands, wetlands and distant mountains. The name is Hindi for "beautiful". Our rammed earth home sits in the middle of the property and our camping sites are located between our house and the road into the property.
We are situated halfway between Maldon and Castlemaine with easy access to both these two interesting towns that attract many tourists to the region.
Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.
The individual sites are called Wetlands 1, 2 and 3 (blue signs), Mountain View (green signs), Gully View (purple signs), The Ridge (orange signs) and Billabong 1 and 2 (yellow signs) . It is unlikely you will hear other guests as there is a good distance between sites. The largest site is Mountain View and can accommodate the most number of guests and is well suited to caravans. Wetlands View has 3 different site options that all overlook the large dam and birdlife that frequent the wetlands. You can select the one that feels right for you. On the other side of the dam is the two Billabong sites. Billabong 2 is open and close to the road, it can accommodate a large group plus caravans. Billabong 1 is a small site that is set in the bush and overlooks the paddock and dam. Gully View and The Ridge are near each other and are secluded and surrounded by bushland. These sites do not have water views and the entrance is located 60m from the front gate, on the right side of our road into the property.
Kangaroos and cockatoos are regular visitors to our property. Bird life is abundant and we sometimes see Echidnas and Shingleback lizards.
It is a peaceful area and close to the steam train track so the train can be heard in the distance on the days that the Victorian Goldfields Railway service runs. There are great walks from the property towards the Maldon-Castlemaine rail trail. We supply firewood, if required, and camp fires are allowed at certain times of the year. Reg has great knowledge about our native animals/birds plus gold prospecting and is available to chat if you what to hear his yarns. Simply let us know and he will visit whilst you are camping. He also offers tuition on gold prospecting.

Our property is located in the historical town of Maldon in Central Victoria. The campsites are among some huge granite boulders and undulating farm land.The property overlooks the Nuggety Ranges and Mount Tarrengower to the south east and the Pyrenees Ranges in the distance which provides us with some of the most stunning sunsets.Take a ride on the Victorian Goldfields Railway, explore the Maldon Markets or take a ride or a walk on the Catlemaine to Maldon trail. We are also close to a number of great wineries where you can sample local wines and produce. There are also a number of other great restaurants in the area.We are also within easy reach of Mount Alexander Regional Park which has a number of beautiful walking trails and lookouts.Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times to ensure the livestock are protected. Campfires are allowed in the fire pit provided pending there are no restrictions in place. We have tank water available.

Heritage listed homestead featuring children’s art and literature. Currently featuring a beautiful exhibition by award winning Australian authors/illustrators Mark Wilson, Leigh Hobbs, Ann James & Gabrielle Wang. Nestled in the Macedon ranges in the tiny hamlet of Riddell’s Creek, Dromkeen is 30 minutes drive from Melbourne Airport. This stately National Trust home has beautiful gardens with a range of Australian native and European plants, a gazebo and two resident alpacas.
We have space in the large carpark for vans, motorhomes, or alternatively the horse paddock for tents and campers. Ample toilets available. Dogs permitted by advance request.
Guests are welcome to visit the Tea Room, open 10am – 5pm Wednesday through Sunday. Our daily menu contains a selection of delicious cakes, devonshire tea, toasted sandwiches, specialty pies and weekly specials and of course, tea and coffee. Breakfast is served all day.
Browse in the galleries or wander around the beautiful gardens which have trees more than 100 years old, some listed on the National Trust register. Meet our 2 Dromkeen alpacas Hannah and Lilly.
***Please note, we are a rubbish free campsite, so campers are asked to take their rubbish with them. Dromkeen has very clean toilets, but a reminder there are NO showers. Also all sites are unpowered, but upon request prior to arrival a powered spot may be available at an extra $10 a day. Please ring to verify this. During summer months because of fire restrictions we also remind campers there should be NO outside campfires.
****Also please note, each van or tent is considered a separate booking site and each site is considered a space for 2 adults and up to 4 children. Where there are 2 couples, they are required to make 2 separate bookings.

Please read all the info before you book...
This is an ideal spot for a quiet getaway or as a home base if you want to explore the surrounding areas of Dunolly or Dunolly itself.
Early mornings and late evenings you may be lucky to receive visits from Kangaroos. Camp freely around the designated campfire and enjoy an amazing star-gazing experience (on clear nights).
The water hole is good for yabbies and great for skipping stones. We swim in it occasionally but prefer to go to the lake. We cannot endorse any swimming or entering the water hole as it is a liability issue and we cannot be responsible for anyone who chooses to swim or enter the area of the waterhole.
Dunolly town has a great bakery, a pub, and a supermarket.
Lake Laanacoorie 15 mins drive. Great for fishing, boats, and swimming.
***Pit-toilet (portable) available:
- There is a pit toilet available for camper use but it's recommended to have a portaloo and use the onsite dunny as an emergency only.
***Keep Clean.
-We ask that you take any rubbish with you when you leave. We would appreciate it if you could leave the property as you found it on arrival.
***Warning.
-Regular pest control in the area might be a threat to your pet so please ensure that your pet does not stray too far off the property without your supervision. Pest control is usually concentrated in the state forest behind the property.
***Fire Wood:
- You can BYO firewood or collect from the roadside. The state forest at the rear may be helpful but please don't cut down any trees. There is often a fallen tree that you can chop up if you have a chainsaw but it'll be easier to find on the roadside or BYO. If I'm able to provide firewood it'll be stacked but this is not something to depend on as it just depends on availability and time that I may not have.

-The campsite is close to the water hole which means it's also at the front of the property and approx 120m from the main road. You will see a vehicle passing by maybe once per hour in the daytime.

This acreage was historically a larger soldiers settlements property comprising a dairy, piggery and wool farming. The quality of the land hasn't changed with most of the region's farmland in use, so this is a cool place to stay in the Macedon Ranges.
Currently home to our family, the property is also visited by many native Australian birdlife species, many marsupials including kangaroos, echidna, possums and even a koala.
With close proximity to coffee shops and local stores of Romsey and Lancefield Providore, you have only a few minutes to drive to stock up on local produce.
Walking the trails around Hanging Rock is a 10-minute drive and Mt Macedon lookout 15min.

Walk 50 metres on clearly marked track from parking area near main Kabin. Already set-up Bell tent, double mattress plus space for 1-2 singles. Bedding available on request. Chairs/ hammocks available. Solar lights. Short walk to fire pit. Wood plentiful. Sauna nearby & available as Extra. Kookaburra call "alarm" at 6.45-7.15am.
Rosella Camp: ($44 per night)
Easy access + flat site for self-contained Caravan or RV ( up to 10 metres) with access to circular drive exit. Use of communal fire pit included.
Magpie Camp: ($77 per night)
Existing modern Tent, double mattress plus space for 1-2 singles. Bedding available on request. Pre-dug fire pit. Solar lights. Wood fired Sauna (as Extra) adjacent.
Cockatoo Camp: ($44 per night)
Flat and accessible site for self-contained RV up to 8 metres, adjacent to 65kms State Forest, pre-dug fire pit, solar lights.
Composting toilet is available for tent sites guests,, at varying distance from tent sites.
This is a digital detox zone. No reliable wifi or mobile reception. Starlink for emergencies at main Cabin.
Families of wild (not tame!) kangaroos & native birds live near or on my nature retreat- they have priority and are spooked by loud noise or dogs.

No amenities on site, please ensure you bring your own toilet, nearest Dump Point is located at the Smythesdale Gardens (4.8km). Camp Fires are allowed in designated areas and in line with Fire Restrictions.
Located 3kms from the Smythesdale Town Centre, where you have access to cafes, supermarkets and various local shops. The property is across the road from the DSE State Forest and Ross Creek State Forest, where you have access to 4WD tracks which are also dirt bike friendly.
Please note: Whilst you can bring your dirtbikes, they cannot be ridden on the property but can be ridden to leave the property for the State Forest across the road.

Fantastic place to stay.
Nathan and Kim were very welcoming and the site had amazing views of the countryside.
We were lucky to have a lightning show on our 1st night.
We stayed in site 2.

4 nights at Lovely Bush Property
Staying at the echidna retreat was extremely peaceful and relaxing, the facilities and amenities provided were clean, tidy and plentiful. Clear instructions were provided on the listing, by the host and on instructional paper in the accommodation.
The views, weather and animals surrounding were beautiful as well as the local towns which were rich in culture and provided plenty of site seeing opportunities. The stars were unbelievable and bright as well. We saw an echidna within 5 minutes of our arrival and kangaroos greeted us every morning before the sun fully rose.
Would highly recommend to any people looking to have a peaceful stay away from all the noise and pollution of city living.

We had a great weekend here. The space was open and peaceful, with plenty of room for our 4-year-old kids to explore safely.
They spent hours looking for bugs and exploring the area. One afternoon, one of Nathan’s dogs came to visit and the kids loved throwing sticks and playing with it for the rest of the afternoon.
It was a bit windy at times, which worked well for flying kites and gave us a really enjoyable morning.
Overall, it was a very good experience and we would happily return.

Thank you Rick and Julie for allowing us to stay on your farm at the Rubbing Tree. We had a wonderful weekend of just relaxing, looking over the reservoir, watching all the birdlife, saying hello to the horses who kindly came up for a visit, admiring the bush tv and checking out the town of Avoca. We didn’t get to meet our hosts however Rick kindly called us when we arrived home to make sure that we had a great time. It was a very much appreciated call. We will definitely be back.

I had a great weekend camping here, even with the weather swinging from very hot to quite cold. It’s a fantastic location with beautiful views overlooking Mt Sugarloaf and Gisborne. Bernadette was a wonderful host and made everyone feel welcome. The facilities were clean and well maintained.
There were several families and groups staying over the weekend, but it never felt cramped — sites were well spaced and everyone had their own space. The art gallery and café were open, which was a real bonus. It was great to escape the 40-degree heat for a while and enjoy a quality coffee and a delicious vanilla slice.

We would really recommend this camp. Beautiful property and friendly family. Each site is secluded and generous with enough space for kids to roam and play. Kids enjoyed playing in the dam while fully supervised with life jackets.
Family are great and offer any assistance necessary.
Will definitely stay again as so close to local amenities while offering a relaxing break.

This was the perfect spot for a hot long weekend away from Melbourne. Far enough away from the house to have some privacy but close enough to have access the tap, bathroom and shower. The swimming dam is only a short drive or walk away and made the stay super special. Gary was great to deal with over message and was very hospitable. Birds were noisy as in every Australian campsite so bring ear plugs if it bothers you! Loved our stay, Would definitely visit again.

Rick informed us of some terrible weather approaching the weekend and gave the option to reschedule with no issues. He was quick to respond to all of our queries regarding the property. Rick met us at the gates on arrival and was very welcoming to the group and showed us the area. The site was clean, peaceful and the kids loved the animals that were very friendly. Absolutely wonderful stay! We celebrated our friend's birthday over a hot weekend. Thankfully the rec hall on the property was air conditioned and well equipped for large groups. We set up pizza ovens at the bbq area where we made pizza for all our friends.

Great site. It was very peaceful with lots of bird life. Plenty or room for our two tents. The shack is thoughtfully fitted out with a stove, pots and pans, plates, etc, and several cables for charging phones. The phone signal booster on the roof worked a treat. Overall, its a great spot. It was so nice being able to sit on a shady verandah to have a morning cuppa watching all of those birds.

What a great spot, we loved it, plenty of room and amenities, we used it as a base for our Motorcycling activities and loved it, location was perfect for good riding and sightseeing and away from the city but not to far. Met the landlords and they were great, very nice people.
