There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience. Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes. Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Good access for caravans and large RV's. Amplified music is not allowed. Local attractions are the historic towns of Maldon, Clunes, Avoca and Dunolly all part of the Central Goldfields. Pyrenees Wine region is a short drive away.

Very private areas for camping. Campfires available but only in months when fire restrictions are not in force. A wide range of birdlife and duck life, wildlife including kangaroos, possums, echidnas. In wet weather you may need a 4 wheel drive vechile to access some of the sites. You will need to bring all your camping gear as these are tent and vechile sites only. We dont have any huts at this stage. 30 minute drive to Ballarat, 45 Min Geelong, 2 minutes drive to the village of Elaine and The Farmgate Shop which is open 7 days a week with a full range of all groceries, bbq needs, drinks, snacks, etc. 5 minutes to dollys creek, 5 minutes to Mt Doran/Lal Lal, 10 minutes to Meredith. Great for fishing, boats, and swimming. ***Pit-toilet (portable) available: - There is a pit toilet available for camper use but it's recommended to have a portaloo and use the onsite dunny as an emergency only. ***Keep Clean. -We ask that you take any rubbish with you when you leave. We would appreciate it if you could leave the property as you found it on arrival. ***Warning. -Regular pest control in the area might be a threat to your pet so please ensure that your pet does not stray too far off the property without your supervision. Pest control is usually concentrated in the state forest behind the property. ***Fire Wood: - You can BYO firewood or collect from the roadside. The state forest at the rear may be helpful but please don't cut down any trees. There is often a fallen tree that you can chop up if you have a chainsaw but it'll be easier to find on the roadside or BYO. If I'm able to provide firewood it'll be stacked but this is not something to depend on as it just depends on availability and time that I may not have. ***More info. -The campsite is close to the water hole which means it's also at the front of the property and approx 120m from the main road. You will see a vehicle passing by maybe once per hour in the daytime.

Wow! What a great little camp. We booked here to be close to Sovereign Hill for the kids. It was a lovely little camp for our group of two families. The grass was green, the sun was shining, there was plenty of shade and great facilities around the camp fire, like tables. We loved the rusty relics but a true highlight was the Powder Room. Thanks for having us Chris. We hope to be back one day. Don't hesitate in booking Penzance. One of our favourite campsites this trip.

If you love serenity, space, wildlife & birds then this is the campsite for you. You set up your tent or park your vehicle on your very own allocated camping area. Each area is huge & can hold a number of people within your group or you can have it all to yourself. You won't see or hear any of your neighbours. Each site is situated along the picturesque creek that runs through the property. There are birds & wildlife galore here, a photographers dream! This is a working sheep station and whilst it's dog friendly you have to be considerate. There are walking tracks and views. The owners are very friendly & obliging. You can purchase fire wood and even rent a portaloo if you're not self contained. You will feel yourself relax here. Highly recommend.
