There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The property in Waterloo is a 200-acre working farm with Murray Grey cattle and Cheviot sheep, and, of course, many kangaroos. We have a campsite available near the house, under a beautiful Yellow Box tree. Power is available if required. Alternatively, one or two bedrooms are available in an independent wing of the house with a private bathroom and toilet. There are cafes and eateries in Beaufort which is only 10 kilometres away. The town also provides a supermarket, hotel, chemist, hardware store, and butcher shop, with many other spots of interest. The railway station has regular services to Ballarat and Melbourne which take 1 to 2 hours journey. The Pyrenees Wine region is also on the doorstep. A public dump point is available in Beaufort. Yellow Box Hill is backed by the State Forest so there are ample walking trails, as well as in the Mt. Cole area. Information about the region is available at the Beaufort Community Resource Centre and Library. Gold detecting is very popular as Waterloo was a gold-mining town in the 1850's. Surely, there has been some left behind! You are welcome to stay a night or a few days, or as arranged.

Crystal’s campsite was peaceful and beautiful. The dusk skies on the rolling hills and the starry nights sitting by the camp fire were bliss. We loved the sheep wandering past our campsite each evening and that all the camp sites were spread out from each other.

We absolutely loved camping at Redbank! The views was so stunning, it was so peaceful. Crystal was also so helpful and lovely! she let us have a fenced area so our dogs could roam free safely. She even brought us firewood on a really cold windy night. Having a flush toilet and hot showers was also a plus! Would definitely be back.

The Long Hole Camping on the farm was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Mark, wide-open paddocks, fresh country air, and the gentle sounds of animals in the distance. We had a great time camping at Amherst Farm. We had the site to ourselves, in a paddock looking out to the State Forest. There was ample space and our dog loved running around. We hired the metal detector for the day which was a bit of fun too. Beautiful spot and Wendy is super welcoming and lovely.

Wendy was a lovely host and we enjoyed our one night stop over at her place. The campsite is flat and shaded and well maintained. Perfect for what we needed. While we didn't use the facilities, like the firepit, because we were only staying one night, it was lovely to have them.

Scrolling the hipcamp app we stumbled across Wendy’s camp site and the single campsite & reviews hooked us in and wow what a fantastic spot. It doesn’t matter where you stay - a Hipcamp, an air bnb or a 5 star hotel it’s always the little extra things that make it stand out and make your stay somewhere you want to return. We felt this at Wendy’s - the signs to the campsite ✅ the dump point provided ✅ the fire pit ✅ peace & quiet ✅ the upkeep of the property ✅ the communication ✅ Everything was just easy, we drove out feeling recharged, relaxed and reconnected with nature. We will return to Wendy’s as it’s only an hour away but feels like we are miles from anywhere.

Belinda's paddock was just what we needed for our two camping families for an overnight stop. A large mown space, isolated but close enough to town. The fire pit was great. Belinda was a great host. Lots of joeys around for the kids to enjoy spotting. Lovely fire pit too.
