Wes's Camping Grounds is located on the Canal Creek. We have many different sites to choose from, either right beside the creek, amongst the trees or in the open paddock if you need to charge your solar. Also available camper van & tent hire in bookings.
Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.
There is something for everyone here at Wes's Camping grounds. With several deep water holes on the property that are home to many fish species just waiting to be caught like yellowbelly, jew and carp.
Imagine sitting, relaxing beside the creek while the kids are playing football or swimming just up stream. Bring your pushbikes or even a kayak and paddle up and down the creek. The kids will love to explore the property and shallow rock pools or even swim in the deeper water. Or just simply sit back and relax by the fire side and enjoy the serenity.
We are close to Leyburn township with a general store and takeaway shop and of course like most little country towns a fabulous little pub providing a home cooked meal and cold refreshing drinks.

The campsite is best suited to those chasing a quiet, private area to enjoy the best of nature along with unbelievable mountain views. The property is the home base for a grass fed beef business with a sustainable focus so whilst you will share with some beautiful cows and calves, the secluded(and fenced off!) campsite is private and serene. Tarome offers some of the best views of the Main Range and Cunninghams Gap, all of which you can enjoy from the site. The sunsets here are spectacular.
The Warrill Creek runs through the property, adjacent to the campsite and is home to an abundance of wildlife and vegetation all of which you are welcome to explore. The creek runs seasonally and makes a beautiful swimming area, but is just as enjoyable when dry allowing for a great path to explore the area.
The site is only a short drive off the main road so the property offers an ideal spot for short stopovers, or alternatively use it as a base to explore the rest of the Scenic Rim. The abundance of walking, hiking, fishing or biking opportunities in the area are endless, or if you are more into relaxing into some food tasting and wineries then you’ve hit the jackpot. Just an hour and a half from Brisbane CBD!
In lieu of camping with nature there are no amenities and limited service with some providers, but if you are chasing something in particular please let us know. We are happy to help. I cannot recommend this camp enough! the owners Heidi and Damen were so welcoming and were able to answer any and all questions we had! The cabin was remarkably presented and the surrounding property was lovely and well maintained! The goats and miniature horses were definitely a highlight and a great piece of entertainment, especially when the food came out! It was easy to find, peaceful and secluded all whilst being close to town! No complaints, we will be back for sure!

Beautiful place to spend some time with family and pets. Very friendly animals such as goats, horses, cows and even a donkey on the other side! We really enjoyed our time at Duchess Farm.

Warrill Creek was a lovely spot, big mowed paddock with a levy bank all the way around which made it private. the swimming holes were good, bit of a walk but not to far. Tamika and Brett were absolutely lovely hosts, happy to help out anyway they can.

The views, the privacy and the dam for the dogs to swim and no other campers is exactly what I was looking for and this place didn't let me down. The friendly horses come up to say hello they are just so gorgeous....no internet so it was just Devine....will definitely be back!!

The hosts are very friendly and accommodating and had a good chat after arriving. Ita a nice open area to pick a spot for your stay and a short walk to the creek to cool off on those warm days. It’s a very quiet spot with a nice backdrop of the mountain range in the background. It’s a lovely spot to just stop and relax.

Absolutely stunning spot, quiet, remote, full of wildlife. Horses and cows in the paddock. Amazing views of Mt Edward and the Scenic Rim. Not as private as I thought it would be, the owners house overlooks the campsite so unless you have a toilet curtain you're very exposed. Otherwise amazing.

Beautiful place, easy to find, had the place to ourselves which was amazing. So very peaceful & quiet. Incredible views of the range & sunset. Good location near Lake Moogerah without the crowds of the campground there. Felt like a true blue Aussie country campspot less than 2 hours from Gold Coast. We had a wonderful time. Only challenge was levelling on arrival for our 6m caravan as the ground is very sloped, but once that was sorted, happy days!
