Aroona Farm is a 200-acre cattle property run and owned by a young family of 4. 'Aroona' is an aboriginal word meaning "place of refreshing" or "place of running water" which represents this beautiful property well with its natural springs that open up out of the mountain, into a 'forest-like' section of the property and runs into the gully. We also have Acacia Creek that runs through the front which is the head of the Clarence River. Feel free to have a splash in the refreshing water with a couple of swimming holes. Explore our property on foot with many beautiful places to see, and animals (cattle and horses) to watch and pat. Or simply sit back, around the fire with friends and/or family and enjoy the stunning sunsets while listening to the sounds of nature. We offer several designated camping areas, each private with lovely views. Some are much larger and suitable for groups with multiple tents/caravans etc, whereas some are smaller and ideal for couples and groups of 1 or 2 small families. All sites require campers have their own camp toilet, and take all waste when they go. Queen Mary Falls, Dagg's, and Browns Falls (walking track) Killarney QLD is roughly an 8.4km drive and Carr's Lookout is about 15km drive. We are a 7min drive to Cambanoora Gorge '14 River Crossing' - please make sure you check if it's open prior to going* The small country township of Killarney QLD (7km drive) has everything you need to stock up.

Acacia Creek is situated on the Northern side of our property and is a great spot down by the creek with the ability to do some fishing and has a great little swimming hole. Access to this spot will require 4WD and can be boggy in some parts while driving to. *Campers must be self-contained and bring their own camping toilet. (no holes in the ground, must be a chemical toilet where you take your waste with you)

Aroona View is our main campsite. It's our biggest, flattest and most secluded area. Looks into our 'forest-like' section of the property and is situated at the highest point which means the best view for those sunsets. * 4WD or high set vehicle access only. This is a more open space - as in not as hidden as the other sites, however, the view is worth it * 4WD or high-set vehicle access only. Burgess Gully
Burgess Gully was a great spot for a long weekend. Lots of space and nice and quiet apart from the lovely sound of trickling g water. Anyone is a great spot to stay and the other campsites looked spacious and private to. Communication and instructions from Anna were great.

Fantastic site, Anna and Graeme were great to communicate with. A really beautiful piece of land, with some friendly animals. Only 10 minutes away from shops and fuel. Would 100% recommend. I would love to return again sometime in the future.

Beautiful and peaceful, huge plot near the creek, we seemed to have the whole farm to ourselves! Would happily have stayed longer than the one night we had. Thanks Anna 😊

Great communication, Anna met us at the gate and showed us to our site- from there on in we did our own thing- private, autonomous camping, lots of space and some friendly cattle- had 2 pampered kelpies in tow who loved the openness of the paddock- would highly recommend as a base to explore the numerous national parks, state forests and quaint towns around the area.

We absolutely loved Acacia Creek. It had a lovely green open and flat site with a beautiful creek running along it. We got to see platypus and turtles in the creek and dam. The early morning visits from the cows was my favourite part. The host family were lovely and very accommodating. Thank you Anna and family for letting us share your gorgeous property. We will definitely be back 😊

Was such a beautiful place with an amazing view! Had the area (Aroona Hill) all to ourselves which was great for our big family plus two dogs. Area was mowed and nicely kept. There is a small flowing water thing about 20m down the hill which the kids paddled in. Close to town, there was markets at the beautiful little town with great coffee and cute little shops. Easy to get to. Quiet at night as you are quiet far away from other campers.

We had a lovely 3 nights stay at acacia creek. The camping area was maintained and it was a perfect spot right next to the creek. We enjoyed sitting in the creek in our camp chairs while the kids had a swim. The cows came up to our site in the mornings and late afternoon. We will be back!

We just spent one night, but would have been happy to stay longer. Great communication with Anna, good directions and a nice, private, flat camp site. On arrival the fire pit had a starter pile of wood ready to go. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Our stay at Aroona farm was great. We checked in quite late just past sunset and our host was kind enough to light our fire for us to save us time doing it (not that we expected it but was extremely thoughtful and appreciated). The rolling hills and sunsets was fabulous. We came to town for killarney bonfire festival but found a gem of a hipcam as well. Till next year Aroona farm if not before.

We booked the Burgess Gully Campground and upon arrival Anna recommended Acacia Creek, it was brilliant a very large flat grassy area completely private and surrounded by a running creek. The drive through the paddocks and looking up at the herd of horses was the highlight of my daughter's week. This is a great location to explore the Falls Drive and surrounds of Warwick which is only 30 min away.

Beautiful spot! Welcomed by Graeme who drove us to our site at Acacia Creek. It was a beautiful large grassed area he'd just mowed, with a firepit and access to the creek. We spent two lovely nights here watching the stars and cooking over the fire. Plenty of space for a group of people or just a nice large area for one. Easy drive into town or into the local area to see the sites. Would highly recommend Anna and Graemes hipcamp for a stay. We got in with our 21foot offroad van even after a few days of rain. It was a bit muddy in parts through the paddock but not much trouble, and the camp-site was very dry itself.

Had a great, quiet, relaxing Easter escaping the city, and heading to this Hipcamp. It was exactly what we needed. Great site by the creek, really enjoyed our morning coffee with the cattle who came for a look.

Aroona Farm was amazing! What a beautiful spot!! The family that own the land were so welcoming and lovely (one of the little girls even opened the gates for us)! The spot is right on a creek which if you are quiet enough you might be able to see a platypus. 100% recommend! It is also close enough to go out adventuring but private enough to relax!

Massive thanks to Anna, Graeme and the family for being so welcoming to their beautiful property. We loved camping by the creek - perfect spot for a relax and sit in the water or for the dogs and kids to play. The cows were so inquisitive they came down and joined us for brekkie. Also being so far away from the city means the stars were incredible!!! Well recommended to anyone escaping the rat race and needing a reset. Thanks so much again and we will be back!!
