Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
6500 acre working cattle property in the Southern Downs of Queensland. Beautiful campsites, abundant wildlife, crystal clear diamond night skies, with four distinct seasons. Only 2 hours from Brisbane, and 20 minutes from Warwick. Connolly Dam is about 5 km away and is great for swimming and you can kayak and swim and fish (permit required). Suitable for all types of vehicles, caravans, motorhomes, big rigs... etc. Dog friendly. Horse agistment available. Campers will need their own toilet and remove all rubbish. Contained campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place, plenty of wood to gather your own (more than enough!) We will happily offer a discount on a confirmed booking for anyone under age 5, but they do need to be booked for insurance purposes. Please ask. We can offer multiple secluded sites. We will not put other campers near your site. Our bush sites are your own until you leave. You can hear the birds, kangaroo thumps, sometime koala growl, and distant cattle but no other people.

Horse Camp - Kangaroo corner
Camping with Horses
What a fantastic long weekend we had! The horses each had a lovely big paddock. We had a great camp site right next to them, with no one else in sight apart from the cows who came to visit us. It was so relaxing and peaceful, it was exactly what we needed! Thanks Liz and Nicholas!

Grass Tree Hideaway
This campsite would one of the best campgrounds that I have stayed at. It was very exclusive, and didn’t see a single person the whole time. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Plateau
Peaceful and Relaxing for everyone
This was my second camping trip to Risdon Stud and my wifes first ever camping trip. Couldn't ask for a better place to get away from Brisbane for a few days and The Plateau site was picture perfect again. It's a great drive out from Brisbane via Beaudesert and Boonah with plenty of places you can stop along the way. But once at Risdon Stud its a fun drive around the property to get to the various sites Nick and Liz have setup exclusively for Hipcampers. We even brought the dog this time and we all had an absolute ball - it was nice, peaceful and relaxing. We will be back - again ;)
