We are a small hobby farm with Bee Hives, Dogs, Cats, Chickens (a few roosters) horses, cows and a couple of pet pigs.
We are located just 35 mins from Caloundra and 45 from Maroochydore. We are close to Australia Zoo, Ewen Maddock Dam, Maleny and Glasshouse Mountains. Enjoy mountain walks and cycling.

Options for visitors are tailored for the horse rider however you don’t need a horse to visit and enjoy what The Croft has to offer. You can also spend time with the horses here with a variety of experiences available as extras and as part of package deals and our flag ship Back in the Saddle retreat option.
There are many things to do in Blackbutt as well as spending some time at The Croft. Every 3rd Sunday is our market day, the renowned Blackbutt Bakery is always at your disposal and a great pub for a pub grub night.
The horse trails network is 500m up the road and has signage with town 1 hour ride away which I can take you on a ride to on the 3rd Sunday Market Day! I have access to the rail trail via private property, or otherwise you can utilise Staines Road to get into Benarkin State Forestry or the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.
Dogs are also welcome who are well behaved and on a leash if others have horses with them. Please note that you MUST ensure your dog has tick prevention prior to arrival. Bookings require pre approval please. This is non negotiable to prepare for your stay.
All welcome to visit and please enjoy a campsite that will only ever have 2 bookings at a time in the 1 acre camping area.

The land itself is part of the experience. Tucked into the hillside, each space offers rainforest views, birdsong by day, and a canopy of stars at night. The terrain is natural and hilly, inviting slow walks and still moments.
Shanlyn is fully off-grid, powered by solar and supplied with rainwater. Décor is simple and thoughtful, with much of the furniture repurposed or handmade, blending rustic charm with sustainable living.
Animals roam freely here: horses graze in the paddocks, donkeys meander by with curiosity, cows move gently across the hills, chickens scratch at the earth, and peacocks bring flashes of colour as they pass. Their presence is part of Shanlyn’s spirit, and guests are welcome to enjoy their company with respect.
Guests also share in the Satya Deck, a timber platform with a communal firepit overlooking the forest, and the Shane Spiral Labyrinth, a ceremonial path for meditation and reflection. These spaces are the heart of Shanlyn, inviting both solitude and connection.

Our accommodation is a quaint old shearer’s shack — The Shack — lovingly refurbished and now featuring indoor amenities including a kitchenette, shower, and flush toilet.
It comfortably sleeps 4–6 people, with extra camp beds available for larger groups or two families holidaying together. The open-plan space features polished hardwood floors, comfortable furniture, and a cozy fireplace perfect for chilly winter nights.
Outside, there’s a firepit with firewood provided. There’s no electricity at The Shack, but solar lights, a solar-powered fridge, gas hot water, a gas BBQ, and a small gas stove ensure all the essentials are covered. Mobile reception is patchy — we encourage guests to put their phones aside, unwind, and let the outside world drift away while you reconnect with nature.
Dogs are welcome but must be secured at all times. There’s a dog-proof fence around The Shack, but it is the guests’ responsibility to ensure pets remain within the fenced area or on a lead when walking on the property.

Options for visitors are tailored for the horse rider however you don’t need a horse to visit and enjoy what The Croft has to offer. There are many things to do in Blackbutt as well as spending some time at The Croft. Every 3rd Sunday is our market day, the renowned Blackbutt Bakery is always at your disposal and a great pub for a pub grub night.
The horse trails network is 500m up the road and has signage with town 1 hour ride away which I can take you on a ride to on the 3rd Sunday Market Day! I have access to the rail trail via private property, or otherwise you can utilise Staines Road to get into Benarkin State Forestry or the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.
Dogs are also welcome who are well behaved and on a leash if others have horses with them. Please note that you MUST ensure your dog has tick prevention prior to arrival. Bookings require pre approval please. This is non negotiable to prepare for your stay.
All welcome to visit and please enjoy a campsite that will only ever have 2 bookings at a time in the 1 acre camping area.

We are located in the hills of Cedar Pocket, just 20 minutes drive from Gympie where you can pick up your meal ingredients and other supplies. From here it’s an hour’s drive to Rainbow Beach and there are many local attractions only a short drive away. Or you may prefer to laze around, read a book, perhaps do some yoga and relax as you gaze at the sun shimmering off the dam water as dragonflies flutter about.
Heart and Soul is a secluded cabin offering getaways for adults only.

This gorgeous little cabin is fully a off grid facility catering for couples or solo stays.
The cabin is fully contained with all that you need for a comfortable stay looking out over spectacular scenery. It sits nestled in between undulating hills of lush green grass, perched on the edge of a dam filled with water lillies. The spring fed dam attracts the local wildlife and our farm cows visit daily. Our new sunset BBQ area is almost finished, where you’ll be able to make delicious meals.
Heart and Soul will not disappoint - a lot of time, thought and love has gone into creating your dream getaway.

Welcome to Shanlyn Farm, an off-grid eco retreat set in the steep, rolling hills of Traveston in the Noosa Hinterland. More than a farmstay, Shanlyn is a sanctuary of peace, reflection, and soulful living — created in memory of Shane and lovingly tended by Lynne.
The land itself is part of the experience. Tucked into the hillside, each space offers rainforest views, birdsong by day, and a canopy of stars at night. The terrain is natural and hilly, inviting slow walks and still moments.
Shanlyn is fully off-grid, powered by solar and supplied with rainwater. Décor is simple and thoughtful, with much of the furniture repurposed or handmade, blending rustic charm with sustainable living.
Animals roam freely here: horses graze in the paddocks, donkeys meander by with curiosity, cows move gently across the hills, chickens scratch at the earth, and peacocks bring flashes of colour as they pass. Their presence is part of Shanlyn’s spirit, and guests are welcome to enjoy their company with respect.
Guests also share in the Satya Deck, a timber platform with a communal firepit overlooking the forest, and the Shane Spiral Labyrinth, a ceremonial path for meditation and reflection. These spaces are the heart of Shanlyn, inviting both solitude and connection.

Hidden Gem is a 600-acre cattle property just a stone's throw from Kilkivan and only three hours from Brisbane.
We are a working cattle farm with wide-open valleys and beautiful hills and ridges that beckon explorers. The peace and quiet here will fill your soul.
Guests are welcome to walk the property or fish in one of the farm dams. Swimming and paddling are perfect on a hot day, or simply relax and watch wedge-tailed eagles soaring overhead and shy whiptailed wallabies grazing nearby. If you’re observant, you might even spot a koala dozing in a tree.
Our accommodation is a quaint old shearer’s shack — The Shack — lovingly refurbished and now featuring indoor amenities including a kitchenette, shower, and flush toilet.
It comfortably sleeps 4–6 people, with extra camp beds available for larger groups or two families holidaying together. The open-plan space features polished hardwood floors, comfortable furniture, and a cozy fireplace perfect for chilly winter nights.
Outside, there’s a firepit with firewood provided. There’s no electricity at The Shack, but solar lights, a solar-powered fridge, gas hot water, a gas BBQ, and a small gas stove ensure all the essentials are covered. Mobile reception is patchy — we encourage guests to put their phones aside, unwind, and let the outside world drift away while you reconnect with nature.
Dogs are welcome but must be secured at all times. There’s a dog-proof fence around The Shack, but it is the guests’ responsibility to ensure pets remain within the fenced area or on a lead when walking on the property.

We are certified organic and practice biodynamic farming methods for healthy soil and regenerative agriculture. Our farm is home to John and Jules, our kids, cattle, sheep, chickens, two gorgeous tiny homes and our dogs Pip and Evie.
In 2023, we located Claudine (the tiny home) on our property and were overwhelmed with the success and lovely comments from guests. In 2024, we completed the building of Henry and opened up the cabin to guests in March. We absolutely love living here and want to enable others to enjoy the spectacular views, reconnect with nature, and switch off from busy lives.
Your hosts are John and Julia Tidy. We moved from New Zealand to The Avocado Tree Farm, a property of 80 acres, in 2003.
Over the years, we have expanded the avocado orchard, become certified organic, raised two wonderful kids, and have hosted many backpackers, family and friends.

Weekend Trip to Heart and Soul
Heart and Soul is exactly what you need if you are looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature. The property is beautiful overlooking rolling hills, being able to watch cows make their way past your bedroom window is such a unique experience that any animal lover must see.
Nina the host is excellent, friendly and incredibly helpful even when it comes to silly questions. We definitely will be back and recommending it all of our family and friends!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stargazers! The cows came to visit and the horses were very friendly and tolerable of our excitable GSD. The full fence is a bonus! We enjoyed the campfire where we cooked a steak dinner. Even in the wind and rain the cabin felt so cosy and well equipped. Avon and Brian are excellent hosts and we hope to be back for a longer stay soon! Many thanks!

This was a great getaway. The Shack had everything you needed. Hosts met us and gave us the rundown and let us be. Enjoyed walks through the farm and the animals - lots of birds, frogs, and deer.

This is our second stay at Avon’s and Brian’s beautiful cabin and we loved it just as much as the first time!
As usual, their horses visited us every day and it was nice to have the addition of cattle grazing around us as well.
We cooked our roast lamb and veggies in the camp oven and it was absolutely delicious, thanks to the fresh herbs from the garden.
Avon was a wonderful host as usual and we can’t wait to go back there again!

This place is lovely and great for first time glampers. Its very peaceful and is a great spot to escape the city life. The outdoor kitchen space is very nice and extremely convenient with fresh water, stove and Fridge. The bathroom was also very convenient with the compostable toilet and gass shower.
Ian has also painted spots on the trees located behind and up from the tent that lead to some secluded water holes. The walk is so nice and the water would have been incredible but unfortunately there hadn't been any rain so we couldn't swim in them. But still a lovely walk through the bush!
There is a little town called Pomona that is about 30 minutes away and it has such a wonderful energy about it. I instantly fell in love with the simplicity and beauty.
Make sure to pack,

Power banks - charge your torches and electronics.
BRING YOUR OWN PILLOW, trust me.
All and all, this place is great and definitely recommend.
