Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! We offer a choice of sites- either Lower Sites close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property or Elevated Sites with views of the valley. LOWER SITES have access to facilities- toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Most sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. These are the only sites that caravans can access. ELEVATED SITES have stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites. When submitting a booking request, select either a Lower Site or Elevated Site. Please include your vehicle make and model, camping setup (tent/swag/camper trailer), type of toilet and ensuite tent (if requesting an elevated site) and number of occupants (adults, children, dogs). We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Coorie Vale is a 100-acre working cattle and horse property on Mt Mee, within an hour drive from the Sunshine Coast or just over an hour from Brisbane. We have a tranquil camp area on Bungo Creek flats, great for families to enjoy nature, and a beautiful private site on the Ridge, with expansive, peaceful views.  The creek campsites have easy access to the toilets and non-potable water.  Coorie Vale is perfect for nature lovers and adventurers - go rock hopping exploring the creek and relax under the stars around the campfire.  It is steep country down to the creek, so a 4WD is an absolute must. Please note, if there is lots of rain, the track to the creek can get very muddy and difficult. If access is compromised due to weather, there are alternative spaces you can set up camp. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

We absolutely loved staying at the creek sites at corie vale... the drive down was definitely 4wd only.. but very worth it when you get there.. the creek was great to cool off and even went rock hopping and found a lovely waterfall and swim hole... tony was such a lovely host and very welcoming with his beautiful doggo.. will definitely be coming back to this beautiful part of the world thats not too far from home

We stayed at the Ridge site and the view was amazing with far reaching views and at night plenty of stars! The elevated site had a nice breeze keeping us cool during the day and comfortable by the fire at night. At the lower sites there is a nice water way to explore.

Guy and his family were welcoming and gave clear directions on how to get to the property and where to setup camp. The kids especially enjoyed feeding the animals. They have horses, ponies, cows, sheep, goats, alpacas, chickens, turkeys and even free-range guinea pigs. The animals were very friendly and the ponies and chickens were very curious about what we were eating and came very close to us and the ponies allowed the kids to pat them. We pre-purchased a bucket of animal feed when we made the booking. Animal feed times are at 5.30pm and 8.30am. We camped near a tree towards the top of the driveway. The tree was decorated with festoon lights which provided a nice light to the bathroom at night. We got to see a shooting star and the kid's thought they might have seen Santa's sleigh. It was a great first time camping trip for us. Thanks Guy.

We had such a wonderful stay at Gums. The site was private, peaceful, and a really decent size, giving us plenty of space to relax without feeling crowded. The property is clearly very well looked after, and the added gazebo with chairs and tables was such a bonus, perfect for meals, shade, and winding down in the afternoons. It’s a beautiful escape so close to Brisbane, yet it feels like you’re a world away. We’ll definitely be back!

What an amazing place, the site is massive, so secluded, private and peaceful. Two beautiful swimming holes to cool off in. Access to the creek is easy and there is a rope to assist getting in and out for the deeper swimming hole. The wildlife is amazing to sit and watch and the cows come right up to the roped off site too. Would highly recommend this site to anyone. The hosts are brilliant, so friendly and great communication and to be able to buy firewood from them makes the stay so much better. We will be back again for sure!

The site is very well maintained, very tranquil with the tree, wildlife and sound of running water through the place. Was good to do a little explore/walk of the creek and just relax under the stars. Shayne was very helpful with directions for us to get there and super accomodating. Not too long a drive out but felt like we were way out in the bush, no service and switched off for the stay. Was a lovely location with plenty of natural shade to utilise too. Will be back for sure :)
