Burrum Shores Campgrounds offers well maintained grassy sites with direct access to the beach.
Access to the camp sites is via a dirt track. Accessible for 2wd vehicles with decent ground clearance and 4wd vehicles.
We now have our toilets and showers completed and open. We can accept bookings from caravans, motorhomes, campers, camper trailers, tents, roof top tents and swags on select sites. Please refer to the individual site listings to ensure your camping setup is compatible with your site.
Grey water must be captured in a grey water tank or a bucket and can be emptied onsite as advised by caretakers.

Campfires are welcome in a raised fire pit, either bring your own or use one of our communal campfire areas. Firewood and kindling is available for purchase on arrival.
You will have access to our town water drinking taps to fill your water tanks and we also have a dump point on the property.
All sites are pet friendly. We ask that you keep your dogs on leash all of the time.
Our only rules are that you respect the property and other guests and no generators.

Camp at our farm retreat with us and our Scottish Highland Coos. We are 5 minutes out of Childers, Queensland. You will have plenty of room to yourself, there is potable water available and porta loos. We have a quirky shower facility now too made out of a horse float, this is only for guests who don't have their own shower. Now my new pets will have to be transported home on the back seat of my car 🤣
The Scottish folk pronounce it Heilen Coos... so that's how we say it. They wonder around our farm wherever they like to go including swimming in the dam....a lot in summer time. Everyone will enjoy seeing these cuties.
Feed times have been cut back to once a day, please ask when it will be as just like us the Coo's need time out.
We've just had a lovely, very patient camper, (27/4/24) Jo hand feed almost 3-month-old Lucy Moo for the very first time 😁
You'll meet Kelvin the Scottish Highland Bull, Oakley who is new mum to Lucy Moo born 5th of February and Willow, mum to Ferdinand (Ferdi) born earlier this year on the 3rd of January, so two beautiful calves to watch doing zoomies around the yard, swimming in the dam or chilling under a tree 😁
Parents please supervise your children at all times, especially near the Highlands.
Baz and Nige are our Nigerian dwarf goats that are being bottle fed at the moment.
Please leave your pets at your campsite, Oakley is proving to get a bit overwhelmed with small dogs etc.
We have 2 dogs Jesse a blue heeler and Cane our Maremma, who are both very friendly. The Maremma dog is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog he does bark a little at night if there is a fox or something around that might hurt our animals. Cane has been very successful at keeping all our pets safe. Guest's have told us they have slept through the night no troubles, in saying that sometimes he doesn't need to bark at all.
If anyone thinks the barking might be an issue this probably isn't the place for you.
We now have Percy the peacock 🦚 who randomly Honks!
Our Neighbours have fish farms, so you will hear the odd shot gun go off at times, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds.
We are very easy to get along with but excessive noise or bad behaviour will not be tolerated. Feel free to put on music and have a few drinks by the camp fire, but we want our farm to be a place where our animals and our guests feel safe and relaxed. Thanks for your understanding.
Relax with a cuppa, unwind with a book or go for a short bush walk and listen to the kookaburras. All your cares will feel like they are a million miles away as you soak up nature here at our farm.
Conveniently there is a dump point in at Childers at the rest area, 16 Cresent St. 6km from here.
There are wonderful cafes and bakeries in Childers, an IGA and Woolworths. We are near Bingera National park, Cordalba state forest with an hour to some top snorkelling spots, also Drive passed acres of sugarcane and macadamia fields we are 45 minutes from Hervey Bay and 40 minutes the other way to Bundaburg. We love being so close to the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef.

The property offers a range of sites set within this scenic natural environment, with more sites continually being created as the regrowth is cleared. While the track around the property currently has some overhanging saplings, it's ideal for walking and exploring, unless you wish to risk scratching your vehicle. This area is a work in progress and is constantly improving.
The highlight of the camp is the large, swimmable dam, perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot day. The property also boasts approximately 250 fruit trees and is home to Brahma chickens and roosters, adding to the rustic charm. There's a 3-kilometer walking trail for those who love to hike, and you'll find potable water and ample firewood available.

Midskinrick has 7 powered sites (no water connection) situated around the dam - large family sites with a firebox on each site. There are, Flushing toilets, Hot showers (small fee applies) Washing Machine (small fee per load) and a Camp kitchen. This price is for unpowered. If you want power, please add this as an extra during booking $10 per night. The powered sites are approximately 450m from the riverbank. There are no water connections to these sites, but fresh water is available for drinking.
Midskinrick has 7 sites overlooking the river flats - Septic flushing toilets, Shower room (solar bag not supplied), Drinking water, Camp kitchen area, Firebox - bring your own wood or buy it from the caretaker (please do not source firewood from the roadside due to animal habitats).
