Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups. Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush, so you may feel like you are the only ones there. Campfires in the provided fire pit or drum only. Due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. Absolutely loved our stay at WoopWoop! This was the first camping trip for the two of us without any “camping expert friends,” and WoopWoop turned out to be the perfect choice. I chose this campsite for its location and amenities, and I have zero regrets — we’re already looking forward to coming back, and I highly recommend it to others. The site and facilities were exceptionally clean and very well maintained by Peter & Doris, who welcomed us with genuine warmth. We added firewood to our booking and Wow, I was pleasantly surprised by the great quality of it. Plus, the little bit of 4WD driving required to enter the site added an extra layer of fun to the experience! If this was in middle of year, I would already made another booking :) 10/10!!

What a spot! Peter and Doris have one of the best Hipcamps I have stayed at. I was on a solo mission, and it met my requirements perfectly. Peaceful and secluded, but also super convenient being just under an hour from Brisbane City. A float in dam is the best to start, and finish, your day. You’ll also share the space with plenty of amazing bird life, including a few beautiful Kingfishers. I look forward to bringing back a few mates for a weekend away.

A perfect spot to explore the area and a jump off point for K'gari/Fraser Island. Amenities include: fire pit (bring your own wood), camp oven cooking pit, full BBQ kitchen in the fully powered shed with huge commercial fridge and running/drinkable water. The kitchen includes plates/bowls/cutlery/knives/mugs/glasses/frying pans/pots, there's a toaster/kettle/microwave, a big gas BBQ with a hotplate and BBQ utensils/tongs etc. There's also camp ovens and a jaffle iron. Guests can also enjoy access to an outdoor bathroom with a shower, toilet and a beautiful claw footed bathtub! Pets are welcome, but the yard is only partially block fenced. So any escape artists would have an easy time absconding. The sites are level pastured camping areas with lovely trees providing good shade alongside the river. We have tried to preserve the natural ecosystem on the river bank so it is heavily wooded and largely untouched. The total area for camping is approximately 500 metres with only four sites spaced far apart to ensure plenty of space and privacy. Each site has very easy access to the river, via a couple of tracks. You can enjoy swimming and kayaking in the river. Fishing is welcome when permitted but must be catch and release only. There is plenty of wildlife to see, especially for bird watchers: kingfishers, parrots and birds of prey as well as platypus, air breathing lungfish and Mary River turtles. Access is 4WD or AWD only. In severe weather the Mary River can flood. Be prepared to leave in extreme weather. The Windyridge Creekside camp is perfect for families or groups, swimming and fishing in the creek, exploring the various bush walking tracks, relaxing by the open fire, bird watching, setting up the cricket or footy and many other options. Pet friendly!! Cleaning up after your pet is ESSENTIAL and must be secured safely at night. Fire kindling is available through the forest walk to the creek to get your fire going. The property has many interesting native birds, animals and trees for you to discover. There are many walking tracks both gentle and steep within the property. Approximately 2 hours from Brisbane CBD. Either stay in our popular cabin for those creature comforts, or camp next to our creek bed areas and enjoy the serenity. There is No cellular service around the camping areas to help you unwind!
