Joyful Valley is a rural bush property with level grass areas surrounded by trees. Easy access to major roads, shops, tourist area’s and beaches. This is a super convenient location. The Bruce Highway is opposite where the property then stretches far back. The campsite has lovely green grass, access to the pool and a picnic table, and fire pit. Compost toilet, hot bush shower and rubbish/recycling facilities.
We are a small hobby farm with Bee Hives, Dogs, Cats, Chickens (a few roosters) horses, cows and a couple of pet pigs.
We are located just 35 mins from Caloundra and 45 from Maroochydore. We are close to Australia Zoo, Ewen Maddock Dam, Maleny and Glasshouse Mountains. Enjoy mountain walks and cycling.

All this is just 5 minutes from Imbil and Kandanga where you can find everything you need for a great camping trip.

During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings.
All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding.
Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek.
We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres.
We have 1km of creek frontage.
The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them.
It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots.
There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle.
This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower.
Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits).
The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure.
Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation.
The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more.
We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section.
Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to anyone with the swag, tent, camper, caravan, or motorhome. You must be self-sufficient, with your own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste when you go.
For those who prefer the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV.
Linen is not supplied.
If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View Rd - do not go that way - go through Dayboro Rd.
For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.

Our camping ground is in Amamoor in the beautiful Mary Valley.
It was once the local cricket pitch , so is a lovely flat spot to camp, with a mountain view to one side and our creek bordering the other 3 sides.
It is within minutes drive from the Amamoor General store so supplies are never far away.
It has easy access off Moorehouse Gully Rd and is fully fenced from the road.
Upon discovering the Mary Valley, we found our farm and fell in love with the views, the mango plantation and the gorgeous nearby villages.
Our property was once a pineapple farm and was part of a much larger property owned by the previous owners for over 60 years.
The Mary Valley Rattler steam train is a great addition to the history of the area and stops at our local village of Amamoor.
Amamoor has the village Green Cafe opened from Wednesday to Sunday and also is where the Rattler stops for refreshments on the weekends.
On Saturday afternoon you can visit Dagun station down the road for a wine tasting and find fresh produce at the station market.
With Kandanga village 10 minutes away, the Country Club and the Kandanga Hotel, a refreshing beer, a good meal and even a game of bowls is not far away.
Cycle the rail trail , kyak the Mary River and check out the State Forest and all its trails, there is so much to explore.
Cooran Brewery with live music Dingo Creek Winery a bit father on , and the coast only 50 minutes away, come and explore our wonderful part of the world.

During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings.
All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding.
Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek.
We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres.
We have 1km of creek frontage.
The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them.
It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots.
There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle.
This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower.
Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits).
The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure.
Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation.
The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more.
We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section.
Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

Gorgeous 40 acre working farm, emmerce yourself in nature with plenty of space to spread out, our dam flats has a communal pavilion and fire pit to use, enjoy our beautiful dam that offers swimming, 3 jetties, sandy beach and stocked with barrumundi (catch & release).
A creek surrounds our dam flats perfect for nature watching and plenty of farm animals for the kiddies. Our farm is perfect for families, all kids who visit ask to come back. Our location is only 15mins to gympie or imbil, 15mins to cooroy, 25mins to yandina and 35mins to noosaville.

Each Site only Accommodates 2 Adults (MAXIUMUM) and up to 4 children, 1 vehicle. If there is more than 2 adults you need to book 2 sites.
Our Camping spaces are for self sufficient campers, we do have a portaloo for use however we do encourage you to bring your own toilet, shower and all rubbish must leave the site.
We have Paddle boards, Kayaks, Paddle Boats, available for use and our dam is also stocked with barramundi on a catch and release basis.

Our 1000 acres mountain top working cattle and horses farm is only 45 minutes from Brisbane CBD, and offers spectacular Glasshouse mountains and ocean views.
You can bring your own self-contained camping set-up, be it a tent, caravan, or motorhome, or stay in our bunkhouse that sleeps 10. Activities on the property include hiking, swimming, canoeing, horse riding and more.
From many parts of the farm you have beautiful views encompassing Maleny, Glasshouse Mountains, Bribie Island, Moreton Island, Stradbroke Island, Redcliffe, and Brisbane Port Site.
We have a beautiful deepwater lake that's perfect for swimming and canoeing. The property is traversed by several rainforested creeks and ravines, which are perfect for adventure hiking and rock climbing.
We can also take you horse riding around the farm for a couple of hours or to the local winery if you prefer a longer ride. We cater for all levels of riding.
We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to anyone with the swag, tent, camper, caravan, or motorhome. You must be self-sufficient, with your own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste when you go.
For those who prefer the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV.
Linen is not supplied.
If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View Rd - do not go that way - go through Dayboro Rd.
For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.

Our camping ground is in Amamoor in the beautiful Mary Valley.
It was once the local cricket pitch , so is a lovely flat spot to camp, with a mountain view to one side and our creek bordering the other 3 sides.
It is within minutes drive from the Amamoor General store so supplies are never far away.
It has easy access off Moorehouse Gully Rd and is fully fenced from the road.
Upon discovering the Mary Valley, we found our farm and fell in love with the views, the mango plantation and the gorgeous nearby villages.
Our property was once a pineapple farm and was part of a much larger property owned by the previous owners for over 60 years.
The Mary Valley Rattler steam train is a great addition to the history of the area and stops at our local village of Amamoor.
Amamoor has the village Green Cafe opened from Wednesday to Sunday and also is where the Rattler stops for refreshments on the weekends.
On Saturday afternoon you can visit Dagun station down the road for a wine tasting and find fresh produce at the station market.
With Kandanga village 10 minutes away, the Country Club and the Kandanga Hotel, a refreshing beer, a good meal and even a game of bowls is not far away.
Cycle the rail trail , kyak the Mary River and check out the State Forest and all its trails, there is so much to explore.
Cooran Brewery with live music Dingo Creek Winery a bit father on , and the coast only 50 minutes away, come and explore our wonderful part of the world.

One of the better hip camps we’ve stayed at, views are incredible, it’s quiet and being close to Brisbane will keep us coming back. It’s quite windy and you are exposed so keep that in mind, would not setup a gazebo. The site we were allocated was very steep and unsuitable for tent camping, fortunately we had a camper trailer we could level.

We loved our weekend away at Maluka Park. We camped with our family, 6 adults, 5 kids and the dog on site 10. It’s a large shady site, perfect for a big group. Lots of free kayaks to use down on the creek bed with a small paddle up to creek to a great swimming spot. Absolutely stunning property and beautiful welcoming hosts.

The spot had beautiful views of the surrounding plantation fields and glimpses of the glasshouse mountaintop. It has a convenient playground equipment for the kids to enjoy hours on while you setup camp and facilities that may surprise you that’s included for the price you pay for the site. Host is amazing and was there for anything you needed for your stay to be enjoyable

We had a great stay at Brad’s property. We stayed in a nice grassy paddock and were close to the horses, bulls and chickens. The kids loved feeding the animals every day. Brad was a great host, he was very friendly and easy going, and we really enjoyed his fresh eggs each day.

We had such a lovely week at Maluka. We walked up the hill to see the sunset, kayaked to Imbil in the free kayaks, went to the Imbil markets, did the bush walk and saw platypus every morning. The sites were huge and the grass was kept short. We really enjoyed the horses and the cheeky cows, not to mention Tilly the farm Beagle that came for a daily visit. Thank you to Brian, we will be back

Absolutely loved the privilege to stay at Rangetop Camp. Viola has done a fabulous job making sure everyone has their own private oasis away from each other. The views are spectacular, the horses and/or cattle visit throughout the day keeping themselves busy grazing. Each site has its own firepit which is perfect for when the sunsets in the evenings. It can be breezy most of the day and a fire is a prefect way to cap off a day of walks, swimming in the lake or simply whiling away the day. Directions were easy to follow and Viola was a delight as our host. Have already booked a return trip next month.

We stayed here with a big group of friends and threw a party for my partner. The campground was great and there wasn’t any issue with noise or other campers being disturbed. Host was great and gave us firewood when we ran out. Will definitely recommend and look to stay here again!

Where to go
Moreton Bay
Just south of Mooloolaba, white-sand beaches stretch along the shores of Moreton Bay, but the real highlight is cruising around the bay’s many islands. Pitch your tent by the beach on Bribie Island, spot wild dolphins as you swim and snorkel around Moreton Island, or combine lazy beach days with wildlife watching on North Stradbroke Island.
Sunshine Coast
Mooloolaba is ideally situated for exploring the rest of the Sunshine Coast. Head south to the beaches of Caloundra, a hot spot for water sports, and spot koalas and kangaroos at Australia Zoo. To the north, the surf town of Noosa Heads has some of the region’s best coastal walks, as well as thrilling 4WD beach drives through the Great Sandy National Park.
Sunshine Coast Hinterland
A short drive inland, the rolling hills and farmlands of the Sunshine Coast Hinterlands offer a change of scenery for campers. Hikers can explore the unique landscapes of the Glass House Mountains, climb to the summit of Mount Tibrogargan, or enjoy woodland walks in the Beerburrum State Forest. For foodies, many artisan producers have opened their doors to visitors, so add a visit to a macadamia farm, ginger factory, or honey farm to your itinerary.
When to go
As the name suggests, sunny days are plentiful along the Sunshine Coast, so pack for warm weather even in winter (June through August). Summer (December through January) is peak season, when the town hosts several open-air events and festivals, but plan ahead if visiting at this time—coastal campsites can book up months in advance.
Know before you go
- The Sunshine Coast has an excellent public transport service, but having your own transport is useful for exploring the hinterlands and national parks.
- Mooloolaba has a large selection of shops where you can pick up camping gear and stock up on supplies before heading out into the hinterlands.
- Fire bans are common in Queensland during summer and dry periods, so check local recommendations before lighting your campfire and always use designated fire pits.
