Escape to The River Shed — a peaceful, rustic camping spot set on 14 acres along the Maroochy River, halfway between Coolum Beach and Yandina on the Sunshine Coast. This is where you can slow down, soak in tranquil river views, and truly unwind. Whether you arrive in a caravan, campervan, RV, or tent, you’ll find one of five spacious campsites arranged around a quiet dam. These flat, grassy sites make it easy to set up, park, and relax. At The River Shed, you’ll reconnect with nature. You’ll have walking access to the Maroochy River — perfect for a quiet paddle or a lazy afternoon by the water — and you’re welcome to bring pets, as long as they stay on leash. Campfires are also permitted whenever fire-ban rules allow, letting you enjoy evenings under the stars. This spot is ideal for travelers' looking to unplug. There are no conventional campground amenities — no toilets, showers, or potable water — so guests must be fully self-contained. Think of it as “back-to-basics,” but with beauty, quiet, and space on your side. We have 8 caravan sites in total (4 are powered sites). If you’re after a simple, nature-first camping experience along the Sunshine Coast — peaceful river views, open paddocks, and nights by the fire — The River Shed is just the kind of place that makes you slow down, breathe easy, and truly relax.

Site 6 is an unpowered flat site on grass situated quite close to our central dam. We offer a total of 4 separate sites located close to the dam. Sites 5 and 6 are unpowered dam sites, whilst sites 7 and 8 are powered sites on the dam. We also offer another 4 sites along the fenceline of the camping area (2 powered and 2 unpowered). All sites enjoy walking access to Maroochy River. Your set up must be self-contained/off grid as we are unable to offer amenities.

We absolutely loved our time at the river shed. Sites were huge, flat and open. Owners were so friendly. Fishing off the jetty, even though we mainly only caught catfish, the family had an amazing time. Will be coming again with our whole crew.

What a lovely spot. We were welcomed by the host and given free range of the river access. The dam was nice and grounds well maintained. Big bags of firewood for $15 was a bargain and free limes or $10 a dozen free range eggs to help yourself to with honesty box. We will return

Our stay with Corin was fantastic, beautiful location, really well maintained and a great base to explore the Sunshine Coast. Instructions were super clear and easy to follow. Lots of wildlife around to watch, ducks, geese and kangaroos. Corin also has chickens and a couple of very friendly donkeys, which the kids had a ball feeding. Also has a great little jetty within walking distance to do some fishing, which we loved, caught plenty of bream. Only issue we had is power was provided via 10 amp outlet meaning we needed to buy an adapter, absolutely couldnt complain otherwise, its was a great stay. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away or explore the area.

The river shed camp stay was absolutely amazing. The process from booking through to arriving and everything after was so easy. Corin was very responsive with messages and communicated well about the location. The property was well maintained, power for the van was easy. It’s an absolute gem of a property, plenty of room for the kids to run, donkeys to feed (kids favourite), fishing of the little pontoon. The weather while we stayed was raining one day and sunny the next but that didn’t dampen any spirits. Yandina was less than 10min away so a trip into the town on the rainy day was worth it. Highly recommend this place to stay and we will be back.

The entire property was incredibly beautiful landscaped lawns, chickens and donkeys for the kids to look at and great little spot for fishing in the maroochy river. Corin was so accommodating. We will definitely be back. Spots 5 is the best!

We highly recommend staying here. Great location for a base to then enjoy the local attractions like Aussie World, the big pineapple etc. The donkeys and chickens are an added bonus. The hosts are very accommodating and welcoming and the property is absolutely stunning.

We arrived on Easter Good Friday at 9.30 am after requesting an early check in which was no problem. Colin showed us to our site and sorted us out some wood for the fire pit supplied. The site was immaculate and in pristine condition . We had lots of space. Corin and April were very kind and hospitable we will definitely be back again!!

Big well kept area. Each site has its own fire pit (too hot to need it!) level sites. Hubby had a go at fishing and only got a cat fish 😄. Easy to find and prompt reply’s to messages. Few mozzies about but to be expected - near a dam, creek and the river.

Corin met us on arrival and led us to the site. This is a beautiful location and the grounds are very inviting, well kept and very clean. It is on level grass and well appointed. High recommended and we would definitely stop in again, if we are passing the door. 👌👍

Unreal spot, Corin was a legend and has a dream property anyone looking for a quick night away or on the way through. Fishing dock, fire pits, plenty of room for any size vans and power available will be back in the future for sure Todd
