Fresh farm eggs can be bought if available at the time. This farm has been used as a working farm for around 40 years. This area is where the government planned a dam so generally we have water in the creeks. Most of the camp sites border the creek and all are designed to take caravans. The house was the original Amamoor Head Ranger, Forestry division, home which was cut in two and relocated from town up to the top of our hill. From here during the bush fire season you can see fires from Widgee, Kilcoy or the Sunshine Coast. We run on solar and rain water for everything in the house and creek or dam water for our orchards and gardens. We run a variety of animals and several small orchards as well. Our creek runs into another near this causeway which leads to lots of water in a short time where it sounds like you are living on a beach. Always check with us beforehand if there has been heavy rain and there are several creeks in this area which leads to a rapid build up of water in a short time over many of the causeways out here. When there is water around, the creek will have lots of little fish and a large variety of frogs, some very weird looking ones to study. While there are many animals on the farm, there are also wild animals who use it as their home and refuge so your pets must be kept safe with you at night. Swimming pool on the farm can be used if requested through booking.

Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. Our property is located on the site of the First Kilkivan Township and was home to a gold rush in 1868 where a 73 oz nugget was discovered. Guests will have access to a portable toilet and fire pit throughout their stay. Gold is still found in and around the creek with fossicking permitted at an extra daily rate of $25 per person. As this is private property we require that all the QLD Fossicking Act rules and regulations are followed this includes having your own permit which must be supplied before fossicking is permitted. Deep Dime is a 400 acre cattle, fodder and irrigated grain farm. Our primary crop is Lucerne for hay. Creekside Camp (our main camping area) is relatively flat, well drained sites along a creek that usually runs. Our bore has a solar pump that is rigged up to the water tank at the camp kitchen. Please turn the tap off once you have finished filling up your containers or caravan tanks. Bore water is potable, so can be used for cooking, cleaning, pets, etc. Any cooking implements and tools that you might need during your stay can be provided at request. Dogs are welcome, just please be mindful of our free ranging chickens, which are generally located at the top of the farm, near the big new shed. We have a calf and mini goats that you are welcome to help us feed. We are also looking at providing yoga, tai chi and meditation classes in the near future and are also setting up more sites at the back of the property as well as providing access to the creek in the summer. Please ensure that you are mindful of our neighbours, no loud noises between 9pm and 7am and kindly clean up after yourselves and take your rubbish with you, as we don't have garbage collection at the property. Nanango has a lovely vibe. It's Queensland's oldest and friendliest town. There are great playgrounds, swimming pool and cart racing in town, which is only about 10 minutes away from the farm. Kingaroy is about half an hour away. There is a great off roading spot in the forest that is literally up the road from us. According to previous campers it's perfect for beginners. Also if you are making a booking for more than five people, you'll need to do two bookings, so that we don't end up overcrowded. Thank you. Self sufficient campers are preferred. If you are looking to get away, put your feet up, switch off and recharge, then this is your perfect spot to enjoy the serenity of farm life with the added mountain views. We have potable bore water, electricity connection, picnic table and bench and firepit. We have two powered caravan sites that can also double up as tent sites. Ideally you should be self sufficient. Our bore has a solar pump that is rigged up to the water tank at the camp kitchen. Please turn the tap off once you have finished filling up your containers or caravan tanks. Bore water is potable, so can be used for cooking, cleaning, pets, etc. Any cooking implements and tools that you might need during your stay can be provided at request. Dogs are welcome, just please be mindful of our free ranging chickens, which are generally located at the top of the farm, near the big new shed. We have a calf and mini goats that you are welcome to help us feed. We are also looking at providing yoga, tai chi and meditation classes in the near future and are also setting up more sites at the back of the property as well as providing access to the creek in the summer. Please ensure that you are mindful of our neighbours, no loud noises between 9pm and 7am and kindly clean up after yourselves and take your rubbish with you, as we don't have garbage collection at the property. Nanango has a lovely vibe. It's Queensland's oldest and friendliest town. There are great playgrounds, swimming pool and cart racing in town, which is only about 10 minutes away from the farm. Kingaroy is about half an hour away. There is a great off roading spot in the forest that is literally up the road from us. According to previous campers it's perfect for beginners. Location, peacefulness and serenity were fabulous. Stayed one night during the week and had the place to ourselves, except for 2 lovely, friendly dogs to keep us company. While the toilet facilities "seem" rustic at first they work extremely well, however we unfortunately did not have enough time to try out the "donkey" shower but hope to if we stop there again. Check in process was simple, just provide your info at the kiosk and go find a place to camp. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend for those that like it quiet and rustic.

Our family/fur babies really enjoyed staying here! We planned on stay one night but ended up staying two nights! The host was so very friendly and even brought the trailer down full of fire wood for us to use! I was amazed by the amount of different kinds of dragonflies and butterflies! Simply magical!
