Deep Dime is a 400 acre cattle, fodder and irrigated grain farm. Our primary crop is Lucerne for hay.
Creekside Camp (our main camping area)
is relatively flat, well drained sites along a creek that usually runs. This area offers multiple composting toilets and wood powered hot water bush shower and outdoor bath. There is also a large permanent deep waterhole a short distance from this camping area.
We have temporarily paused out Hill camp sites, due to continuing property maintenance and improvements. The Hilltop on our place is a lovely spot to watch the sunset with a glass of your favorite beverage, and even if you are camped at Creekside, you are welcome to walk or drive up to hilltop. Just remember we are a working property, so leave gates as you find them.
Our property is an easy drive from wineries, large dams, Bunya Mountains, art galleries, state forests, mountain bike tracks, and scenic Kingaroy. We are dog friendly as long as dogs are not aggressive and well controlled.

If you are looking to get away, put your feet up, switch off and recharge, then this is your perfect spot to enjoy the serenity of farm life with the added mountain views. We have potable bore water, electricity connection, picnic table and bench and firepit. We have two powered caravan sites that can also double up as tent sites. Ideally you should be self sufficient.
Our bore has a solar pump that is rigged up to the water tank at the camp kitchen. Please turn the tap off once you have finished filling up your containers or caravan tanks. Bore water is potable, so can be used for cooking, cleaning, pets, etc.
Any cooking implements and tools that you might need during your stay can be provided at request. Dogs are welcome, just please be mindful of our neighbours. We have a calf and older cow that you are welcome to help us feed.
We are also providing special deals on yoga, tai chi, breath work and meditation classes and we have access to the creek in the summer. We have a beautiful forest across the road, which is perfect for walks, trekking or meditation.
Please ensure that you are mindful of our neighbours, kindly refrain from loud noises between 9pm and 7am and clean up after yourselves and take your rubbish with you, as we don't have garbage collection at the property. There is a dump point in town, with garbage bins, for your convenience.
Nanango has a lovely vibe. It's Queensland's oldest and friendliest town. There are great playgrounds, swimming pool and cart racing in town, which is only about 10 minutes away from the farm. Kingaroy is about half an hour away. There is a great off roading spot in the forest that is literally up the road from us.

The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve.
We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking.
Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome.
The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping.
The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property.
The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic
Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day.
There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal.

Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in.
The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type.

Our property is located on the site of the First Kilkivan Township and was home to a gold rush in 1868 where a 73 oz nugget was discovered.
Guests will have access to a portable toilet and fire pit throughout their stay.
Gold is still found in and around the creek with fossicking permitted at an extra daily rate of $25 per person. As this is private property we require that all the QLD Fossicking Act rules and regulations are followed this includes having your own permit which must be supplied before fossicking is permitted. These rules include no machinery or pump operated sluices such as high banking sluices.
Detectors are welcome and some great finds have been found with them including gold and coins from the 1860’s.
Large groups are welcome.
There are many great shaded camping spots along the creek or a large open area of about 50 acres for larger groups. There is also a year round swimming hole fed by a solar bore on the property for anyone wanting to cool down.

Recently opened in Murgon is the fossil museum & fine art gallery, 55 Million Years Ago. On the website a quote states, “In the late 1980’s, fossils found near Boat Mountain just outside Murgon in Southern Queensland rocked the palaeontology world. 15 new fossil species discovered here were found to be 55 million years old, predating any other Eocene period fossils found in Australia by 20 million years.” Suited to all, make a day of it and visit 55 Million Years Ago in the morning, enjoy lunch at a local winery before heading to Boat Mountain to see where they found the fossils and enjoy the sunset.

We have temporarily paused out Hill camp sites, due to continuing property maintenance and improvements. If you are looking to get away, put your feet up, switch off and recharge, then this is your perfect spot to enjoy the serenity of farm life with the added mountain views. We have potable bore water, electricity connection, picnic table and bench and firepit. We have two powered caravan sites that can also double up as tent sites. Ideally you should be self sufficient.
Our bore has a solar pump that is rigged up to the water tank at the camp kitchen. Please turn the tap off once you have finished filling up your containers or caravan tanks. Bore water is potable, so can be used for cooking, cleaning, pets, etc.
Any cooking implements and tools that you might need during your stay can be provided at request. Dogs are welcome, just please be mindful of our neighbours. We have a calf and older cow that you are welcome to help us feed.
We are also providing special deals on yoga, tai chi, breath work and meditation classes and we have access to the creek in the summer. We have a beautiful forest across the road, which is perfect for walks, trekking or meditation.
Please ensure that you are mindful of our neighbours, kindly refrain from loud noises between 9pm and 7am and clean up after yourselves and take your rubbish with you, as we don't have garbage collection at the property. There is a dump point in town, with garbage bins, for your convenience.
Nanango has a lovely vibe. It's Queensland's oldest and friendliest town. There are great playgrounds, swimming pool and cart racing in town, which is only about 10 minutes away from the farm. Kingaroy is about half an hour away. There is a great off roading spot in the forest that is literally up the road from us.

The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve.
We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking.
Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome.
The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping.
The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property.
The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic
Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day.
There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal.

Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. Our property is located on the site of the First Kilkivan Township and was home to a gold rush in 1868 where a 73 oz nugget was discovered.
Guests will have access to a portable toilet and fire pit throughout their stay.
Gold is still found in and around the creek with fossicking permitted at an extra daily rate of $25 per person. As this is private property we require that all the QLD Fossicking Act rules and regulations are followed this includes having your own permit which must be supplied before fossicking is permitted. Detectors are welcome and some great finds have been found with them including gold and coins from the 1860’s.

On the website a quote states, “In the late 1980’s, fossils found near Boat Mountain just outside Murgon in Southern Queensland rocked the palaeontology world. 15 new fossil species discovered here were found to be 55 million years old, predating any other Eocene period fossils found in Australia by 20 million years.” Suited to all, make a day of it and visit 55 Million Years Ago in the morning, enjoy lunch at a local winery before heading to Boat Mountain to see where they found the fossils and enjoy the sunset.

The Gympie Music Muster is less than 10 mins down the road and is a annual, 4 day music event that runs every August.
The Windyridge Creekside camp is perfect for families or groups, swimming and fishing in the creek, exploring the various bush walking tracks, relaxing by the open fire, bird watching, setting up the cricket or footy and many other options.
Pet friendly!! Cleaning up after your pet is ESSENTIAL and must be secured safely at night.
Fire kindling is available through the forest walk to the creek to get your fire going.
Firewood is available - $10 per bag / $50 load - please pre order prior to arrival.
TOILETS - NO toilet is available onsite and you are required to be FULLY self sufficient with your own toilet. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule and you MUST take ALL waste with you when you leave.
RUBBISH - No rubbish bins are available on this site. ALL Rubbish and scraps must be removed when you depart. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule and you MUST take ALL rubbish with you when you leave. No food scraps to be left behind.
WIFI: Available upon request for wifi calling and general internet (not suitable for streaming/movies).
We request that you leave this beautiful, unique campsite in the same condition as when you arrived for the continued benefit of other campers and respecting that this is part of our property and home.
This campsite is NOT a shared campsite - singular bookings only.
AWD and 4WD is recommended however 2WD is suitable for this site.
We ask that all care is taken when driving into and on the campsite parkland - like grass.

Tracy and Dean were great to deal with, good communication and both really friendly. The location is awesome and we ended up having the whole place to ourselves which made it even better. Plenty of space and a nice quiet spot to relax. Would happily stay again.

We had a great Stay at Jimna Base Camp. Took my 8 year old boy camping and we both had the best time - mountain biking, kayaking, swimming, tennis and basketball. Great Spot and Great Facilities.

Valley View was a peaceful campsite for me and my two active dogs. Great views to the North, South and West and perfect screening trees to the East. Superb opportunities for sunrise and sunset photos as well as a nice dark sky for astrophotography. Laura, was excellent with her communications and Neil was very welcoming and good for a chat. We will happily return.

We absolutely love Windmill Hollow. We have been countless times and will continue to come back. Jason is an amazing host and he keeps the sites in pristine condition. Beautiful luscious grass that is always nicely mown. Sites are really private and massive. This is a hipcamp well worth checking out.

Nev has an absolutely fantastic property and is a very nice and genuine guy. Highly recommend checking this place out, even if you're not forsaking or prospecting. Each camp stop seems to have it's own bio-toilet, which is also super awesome for some fussy campers :) In regards to gold, we tried, but didn't find anything unfortunately. It was still fun!

We stayed at the Big Fig site at Hopevale for 4 nights and had a really nice, peaceful stay. Jason is a great host, friendly and easy to deal with and the site itself felt private and quiet which we really appreciated. There was heaps of wildlife around too, lots of wallabies, cows wandering past, plenty of birds and we even spotted a snake on our last night which made things interesting. It was a bit disappointing that we couldn’t swim in the dam but we chose to do the hike out to the hidden cave instead and honestly that ended up being more fun and a great little adventure. Overall it’s a lovely spot if you’re after some time in nature and a quiet place to switch off. We really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing place, water was nice and cold to swim in. We got to feed the cows and explore the forest. Found a butterfly field. The host was kind and friendly, he gave us plenty of wood for the fire. Didn't end up finding gold but found a lot of different gems ! We had a blast and definitely will be coming back thank you so much for the experience!

had a very lovely stay at Mountain View.
hike to the cave was a fair bit harder than expected and reception took a further drive out than we had assumed, other than that the campsite was absolutely beautiful and well maintained, extremely peaceful setting with lots of fun to be had and wonderful sights to see. shame the swimming hole was out of season, but the next one in town was close-by enough and so much fun it wasn’t at all an issue!

Lots of space and camping options to give each camping party privacy. Portaloo's clean and well maintained.
Host called morning of arrival to give detailed road directions.
The dogs enjoyed exploring creeks bed (unfortunately no water this time) However there is a permanent pond with spring fed water for swimming.
Quite a number of areas of interest in the area to explore.

Lovely campsite, with lovely owners. We stayed on the Mountain View site which was peaceful with amazing views. We completed the hidden cave hike, which was a fun scramble, followed by a lovely swim in the watering hole. Highly recommend this camp for people looking for a chilled place with activities.
