Deep Dime

27 sites · RVs, Tents400 acres · Glan Devon, QLD
Deep Dime is a 400 acre cattle, fodder and irrigated grain farm. Our primary crop is Lucerne for hay. Creekside Camp (our main camping area) is relatively flat, well drained sites along a creek that usually runs. This area offers multiple composting toilets and wood powered hot water bush shower and outdoor bath. There is also a large permanent deep waterhole a short distance from this camping area. We have temporarily paused out Hill camp sites, due to continuing property maintenance and improvements. The Hilltop on our place is a lovely spot to watch the sunset with a glass of your favorite beverage, and even if you are camped at Creekside, you are welcome to walk or drive up to hilltop. Just remember we are a working property, so leave gates as you find them. Our place is an easy drive from wineries, large dams, Bunya Mountains, art galleries, state forests, mountain bike tracks, and scenic Kingaroy. We are dog friendly as long as dogs are not aggressive and well controlled.

Hilltop Country Camping

12 sites · RVs, Tents175 acres · Crows Nest, QLD
We have several peaceful campsites available on our 175-acre property - some with beautiful escarpment views, and some amongst the peaceful surrounds of the bush. We are 10km from the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 45 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 660m altitude. From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast, sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest, and even glimpses of Cressbrook Dam. There are two separate campsites on the hilltop, one at each end. We also have 3 secluded bush campsites down in the paddocks, these are private and peaceful with no other campers within sight. They are all situated to be able to enjoy the sunset. We feel very spoilt living here in this beautiful place and would love for others to share it. It is extremely quiet and peaceful, yet less than a 15-minute drive to Crows Nest. There is plenty to explore in the area, including: Crows Nest Falls National Park (good for a swim) Bullocky's Rest and creekside walk in Crows Nest (dog friendly) Ravensbourne National Park (rainforest) Crows Nest Museum Cressbrook and Perseverance Dams Muntapa Railway Tunnel towards Cooyar French patisserie and other cafes in Crows Nest. Also antique, boutique, and craft shops (the second-hand book store is my favourite!) Also markets in Crows Nest on the first Sunday of each month. We hope we can help you have a pleasant and peaceful camping trip! Please note: the driveway is long and rough. 2WD accessible, but bumpy. Pet friendly 🐕

Hopevale Adventure Camping

6 sites · RVs, Tents113 acres · Widgee, QLD
The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens Forest Reserve at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sit to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal. “We have been blessed beyond measure with a small slice of God’s wonderful creation that we would love to share with you.”

We are setting things up as we speak and at the moment we have potable bore water, electricity connection, kitchen table and bench outdoor setting, kitchen water tank with fire pit/BBQ, enclosed shelter with extra bedding and starlink WiFi. We have a petting zoo that includes Guinea pigs, ducklings, goslings, chickens, quails, a piglet and a ragdoll cat. There is an old shed with a double swag, stretcher bed and rustic firepit, which guests can use during their stay. Firewood is available at additional cost, otherwise there's plenty of free kindling and wood around the place. We have a basic bucket toilet at the moment, until we build a new one. We have tried different camp shower configurations to no avail, so currently we use the public showers in Nanango. Will be building a proper one at a later stage. Electricity pole is available to campers behind the shed in the top right corner of the property, when facing the main road. If you need continuous power for your caravan, please book a powered site. Our bore has a solar pump that can be used to fill up water tanks etc, please enquire about how to use this to fill up your containers or caravans. Otherwise there is a tap on the camp kitchen tank that provides potable water for cooking, washing, pets etc. Coffee is available upon request, at additional cost. Other cooking implements and tools can also be provided at request. Dogs are welcome, just please be mindful of our free ranging animals, which are generally located at the top of the farm, near the big new shed. Please ensure that you are mindful of our neighbours, no loud noises between 9pm and 7am and kindly clean up after yourselves and take your rubbish with you, as we don't have garbage collection at the property. Nanango has a lovely vibe. It's Queensland's oldest and friendliest town. There are great playgrounds, swimming pool and cart racing in town, which is only about 10 minutes away from the farm. Kingaroy is about half an hour away. There is a great off roading spot in the forest that is literally up the road from us. According to previous campers it's perfect for beginners. For any other questions, please feel free to contact me. And don't forget to enjoy your stay. :-) it is a lovely spot, with amazing views and DinDin Forest across the road. Our neighbours have horses and sheep too that are curious and friendly. Weekly and monthly rates are available, please contact me to discuss your requirements, thank you.

Hope Valley

43 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents1375 acres · Amamoor Creek, QLD
4WD Recommended - dirt/gravel road and two creek crossings (through the creek bed) to get here. We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here. This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here. No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.
