We are within easy reach of Main Range National Park, Mount Cordeaux, and Mount Mitchell, as well as the Historic Maryvale Crown Hotel and Spicers Resort. Warwick is half an hour away. Horses/cattle live here so animal droppings are to be expected and cattle may bellow from time to time, it is a working farm after all. Please do not feed the horses or cattle. Pets are welcome but must be kept on leash/restrained at night. Pets must not disturb any of the livestock or native animals in the area. If you a lucky you may even spot platypus, there is abundant birdlife, bandicoots and bettongs if you are a nature lover. Campers must be fully self sufficient with their own camping toilet and must take all rubbish and waste with them on departure, as per the 'leave no trace' policy. Please leave logs supplied for seating for the use of all campers. BYO firewood.

Tarome offers some of the best views of the Main Range and Cunninghams Gap, all of which you can enjoy from the site. The sunsets here are spectacular. The Warrill Creek runs through the property, adjacent to the campsite and is home to an abundance of wildlife and vegetation all of which you are welcome to explore. The creek runs seasonally and makes a beautiful swimming area, but is just as enjoyable when dry allowing for a great path to explore the area. The site is only a short drive off the main road so the property offers an ideal spot for short stopovers, or alternatively use it as a base to explore the rest of the Scenic Rim. The abundance of walking, hiking, fishing or biking opportunities in the area are endless, or if you are more into relaxing into some food tasting and wineries then you’ve hit the jackpot. Just an hour and a half from Brisbane CBD! In lieu of camping with nature there are no amenities and limited service with some providers, but if you are chasing something in particular please let us know. We are happy to help. Lucky’s Ridge is a 120acres property of bush, heavily timbered with straight eucalyptus, situated north NSW, near Tabulam, at the foot of great dividing range. It’s subtropical (summer rain, dry winter usually, no frost). The primitive campgrounds have two compost toilets and two wood fired hot showers. Camp kitchen has a wood stove/oven, kitchen sink and benches (no fridge). All water taps are on rain water. There is a herb/veggies garden guest are welcome to pick from. Please be aware that there is only 12v power available (usb charging station), and Telstra reception is there but just and Optus is patchy. I have friendly dairy goats, sheep, cows, pigs and horses roaming on the property, maintaining the grass short and fertilised (watch for the poop!), and chickens, duck and rabbits, all mostly free range in the Permaculture garden and orchards near the house. I'm into homesteading, and I grow and raise (and butcher) most of my food. I enjoy sharing my land and experience with others, so I’ve recently had a primitive campground approved and open. It was mostly to host seasonal self reliant backpackers coming to pick blueberries at Mountain Blue, so it offers a bit more than just a place to camp, but it stays rather rustic. I’m also keen to host people interested in off grid living and sustainability or whoever wants to come and camp in this quiet, not crowded at all part of the bush. Hipcampers please be aware that from August til December, backpackers may be living at the campgrounds. If you are interested in a garden tour, feeding the animals, milking the goats and/or pony rides, please let me know in advance. We also have some mountain bike trails (jumps, etc) for keen riders (work in progress).

It can be a steep or slippery walk down to the creek, depending on the weather and if the creek has recently risen or flooded. Easily accessible by 2WD as long as its not too wet. Weekend Trip to Bindarah Downs
Highly recommend this wonderful place to relax and unwind. Shayne was very friendly and helpful and recommended a site to set up. It was great to hear all about the farm and his friendly animals. We chose a site overlooking the creek with easy access for the dogs and ourselves to enjoy the water as the weather was very hot. Loved that the camping area is limited to 10 sites and we were lucky the be sharing with only one other couple. There was a little bit of street noise during the day but this did not distract from the sound of the running creek and abundant bird calls. Thank you for sharing Bindarah Fark with us. We will definitely be back soon.

Absolutely love this place - clean, tidy and the running water is magical. Plenty for families to explore, horses and cows always making afternoon appearances. The hosts are friendly and kind, even went to the trouble of making the access even smoother for my SUV. This is a great, private spot on grassed flat land above the creek. The dogs can run freely within camp without disturbing the neighbours who are very generously distanced from one another's sites. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. The creek is lovely to explore and swim in. Lots of bird watching and the cows were a treat. There's enough room for groups and its not too far to travel feom Brissy or the GC. Happily camp here again 👌

Wow what a beautiful peace of land. Directions were spot on and easy to follow. I throughly enjoyed my time it was peaceful heaps of bird life access to the creek was close to camp and easy to get down. For camper that have there own toilet and shower it is a must visit for the amazing peacefulness

Very private site all to our selves perfect for tent camping! Road near by but no noise at all. Great fire pit, and beautiful little creek perfect for a dip! A bit exposed so be sure to have your own gazebo etc. Unfortunately we timed our visit with the arrival of a billion flies but otherwise great place to camp!

Andrew Drynan Park is situated on Running Creek, 47 km south of Beaudesert and 19 km from Rathdowney on the Lions Road. The drive from Brisbane will take a couple of hours. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee. Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp. Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent. Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east. Campers & Day Trippers Rules: The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park. By using this park you agree to the following rules. All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish. It must be taken with you! The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem! Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set up on top of other campers. Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of 2pm to 6pm. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need. *Please note any negative feedback for camping received was from a festival that took place on our property in 2022 and the event organisers promised the campers facilities and did not deliver.
