Welcome to GG's Ranch & Retreat Camping area, a unique farm escape on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Is is the perfect place to base yourself and explore all the beauty that the Sunshine Coast Hinterland has to offer. We currently only offer one campsite so you will have plenty of space and privacy during your stay. There is a number of walking tracks on the property and a large billabong where you can enjoy swimming and other water activities. There are Geese who often visit the property who you are welcome to greet and feed. We also have an abundance of bird and wildlife who visit the property and have even been lucky enough to spot a Platypus in the billabong. Our property is home to a number of Horses and we offer Horse based activities for an additional cost (see our extras) so you can meet them and learn some basic horse riding skills. We are just 15 minutes from the popular Eumundi Markets and 30 minutes to Noosa main beach.  The site has power and water for your use but you are required to supply your own camping toilet (Please note if you arrive without a toilet you will be asked to leave) and remove all rubbish waste on departure. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under owners control at all times. Campfires are allowed in the fire pit provided and firewood is available at a small additional cost. Please keep your site clean and tidy and respect the natural environment and animals at all times.

Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban. We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Get your morning caffeine fix as well as bagged ice, firewood, ice creams, snacks, cold drinks etc etc Then we have the old school principals residence aka “The Bush Holiday House“. It is fully self-contained and all linen is provided. Just BYO food & drinks. We offer this for one night stays and longer. Jimna is a tiny town immersed in the Australian bush; with nearby gorges, ravines, creeks and waterfalls - some wild & spectacular places to see. What better place to base yourself and explore our part of the Conondale National Park, Jimna State Forest... be it on foot, horseback, motorcycle, 4x4 or mountain bike!! Holiday/Peak Season rates may vary.

All rooms have a TV and air conditioning. Shared bathroom facilities available nearby. You are welcome to use the BBQ facilities located within the caravan park as well. We have a nearby billabong which has plenty of fish and turtles. Enjoy a meal at the nearby Gundy Pub or explore the surrounding area. Bauple Mountain is 5km away which is a great spot for walking and hiking. Mary River is down the road 4km and a great spot for fishing. The national trail runs along the river and is a great spot for walks or bike rides. We have a number of horse riding camps in the nearby area as well.We have fire drums available and well behaved pets are welcome. A short 2.5 hours from Brisbane and nestled in the magical Sunshine Coast Hinterland, our property is surrounded by Conondale National Park. Featuring 60 acres of lush rainforest, soft grass, a running creek and lots of wildlife, we are working towards our important vision of regeneration, natural building and traditional organic farming. Booloumba Creek runs along the boundary and has crystal clear waters with a magical rainbow of coloured rocks in the creek. The property is literally at the end of the road, surrounded by the national park and rainforest, which is normally only accessible by 4WD, camping at our property gives you access to a beautiful park and walks which may otherwise be inaccessible. We have 4 sites but only accept one booking at a time perfect for just one tent and a private getaway or for groups of families and friends. Message to discuss any special group needs including catering or how to book a group into multiple sites. If you want to just arrive and immediately relax, in addition to the tents already set up we can also provide a Welcome meal for groups of 6 or more or a breakfast/dinner package. Please message for details and availability. We are a 10 minute drive from the township of Kenilworth where you’ll be able to pick up supplies for your holiday. The town is noted for its bakery with donuts, the Kenilworth Dairy and has a growing market on Saturday mornings. The famous Eumundi Markets are 45 minutes away and open on Wednesday and Saturdays. We love celebrating food and a healthy life, and inviting people to enjoy our space is one step, with the vision for the accommodation to support events and education based around food, plant medicine, natural building and celebrating connections with friends, family and nature.

This is a brand new kit home cabin, the same as you would see in caravan parks, with full bathroom and kitchen. there is a QB plus a fold out sofa The property owners are right next door, should you need anything just give us a shout out we will be happy to help. Please if you should have more rubbish than what would fit in the bin PLEASE let us know so as it's not just left out . Please Note Dogs must be on a lead at all times and you must clean up after them , And NO pets INSIDE There are plenty of places and thing to go see and do, such as exploring the Bunyas & National Parks, dams, lakes, The Rail Trail and there are also some lovely wine properties near by. The little town has an IGA and most things you will need, we have animals on the property horses and 9 border collies, so if you are an animal lover you will love it here. The Fishing Hut is located on our working Brahman cattle property. It is completely self contained and perfect for families. It has 3 bedrooms (one queen bed, one king bed, and a kids room with two sets of bunks) all fully air conditioned. The fishing hut sleeps 9 people, any additional guests will have to supply their own bed and bedding. Indoor kitchen including a dishwasher and an outdoor kitchen including a pizza oven and a BBQ. Sit back and enjoy the panoramic views of the Mary River and the surrounding bush land while sitting around the fire pit. We have quite a few local pubs around that are happy to take group bookings if you’d like a night off cooking. Pets are welcome but need to be kept on a leash and contained at all times. Please be respectful of the fact we run cattle and have our own dogs on the property. Your dog must stay in the area in front of The Fishing Hut. No dogs are permitted behind the The Fishing Hut where we have our cattle yards and our own dogs. The property is located in Scotchy Pocket farming district, 25 minutes north of Gympie.

4WD Recommended - dirt/gravel road and two creek crossings (through the creek bed) to get here. We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here. This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here. No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.
