We recently moved to Gundiah Qld and acquired a beautiful piece of land (approx. 320 acres) with about 70 acres of picturesque camping located on the Mary River.
Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful.
We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top.
There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts.
Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles.
We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property.
Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times.
We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe.
Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you".

Take a very short walk to the Pir'ri Reserve Walking Track where you can do a spot of bird watching or simply enjoy a stroll on the rustic bush tracks.
Beautiful calm swimming beaches are only a 9km drive away. You may also like to visit our huge pier at Urangan, or take a walk along the bike path which stretches 17kms along the waterfront. You will also find a shopping centre with Woolworths in this area and other specialty shops (post office and retail). Plenty of takeaway available- KFC, McDonalds, Golden Chicken, River Heads Cafe for breakfast and lunch daily and pizza three nights a week and restaurants in the vicinity.
River Heads where K’Gari Fraser Island barge leaves from is 7.5km from our camp and you are welcome to leave your vehicles parked up for a small fee.

You must have your own toilet to stay here and be able to remove all grey water. Our regional council does not allow us to host swag/tent campers. Tents and swags may be permitted if accompanied by an RV or caravan, please ask us first. Virtue Farm is a council approved self-contained recreational vehicle ground.
Arrival after dark is by prior arrangement only as we have no lighting on the farm.
We are 10 minutes from Hervey Bay and 10 minutes from the K'Gari (Fraser Island) barge that leaves from River Heads. and only 10 minutes drive to Hervey Bay's beautiful beaches
We are building a productive, diverse permaculture farm incorporating a market garden, food forest and small volume egg production. From your campsite, on our farm block, you will have sensational views to K'Gari (Fraser Island) whilst being surrounded by 27 acres of bushland that is reserved for nature and registered with Land for Wildlife. Expect to see amazing colours at sunrise and sunset.
Enjoy the many birds and animals that you will see as you spend time exploring our bush and farm. There's the added bonus of a range of fresh, organically grown produce to be harvested daily at a small extra cost. You will love the peace and quiet of our block and the huge array of wildlife that choose to call our place home.
To preserve this tranquility, pets and rowdy groups are not suited to this camp site. You are welcome to camp in family and friendship groups. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often.

There's nothing here but peace and quiet, spacious sites. The banks of the river are quite high and there is limited access into the water.
There are 2 boat ramps about 7 or 8 klms from the property.
Arrive between midday and 2pm if possible so you can set up your camp. Don't forget to bring your insect repellent as you are in the bush and beside the river.
We have also just built a shelter shed/camp kitchen have 1000 litre water pods.

The property is totally private and caravans cannot been seen from the road, the owners live on the property and only booked guests are to enter the property offering security and peace of mind.
Whether you want to bird watch, kayak, fish (catch and release only), hike or ride one of the many trails or sit, relax and
read your favourite book, we promise a warm welcome; from the wildlife and the proprietors Tracie and Jimmy.
Dam Crazy is also pet friendly, dogs must be cleaned up after and may be walked off leash on the walking trails (please be mindful of other campers, farm animals and wildlife), they may also swim in the dam but must be contained or kept on leash in the campsite areas.
The dam is very deep and could have snags washed down in floods, so we suggest children wear life jackets, and MUST be supervised by adults at all times around the water.
Numbers are limited to ensure you have plenty of space and privacy!

Augie is one of our resident Koalas. He was released onto our property from Australia Zoo Hospital in 2023, just the same year we arrived here. Our little paradise features 30 acres, of which 20 belong to Augie and his friends as prime Koala habitat.
On the remaining acres we enjoy having a stunning little lake, just creating that zen feeling. Camping spots all have stunning views of the lake which invites you to take a stroll around following an easy walking track.
Maybe you can spot Augie or be delighted by the beautiful local birds that share our space. Our Kangaroo family usually grazes until sunrise just on the open grass area near the camp spots. We recently moved to Gundiah Qld and acquired a beautiful piece of land (approx. 320 acres) with about 70 acres of picturesque camping located on the Mary River.
Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful.
We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top.
There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts.
Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles.
We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property.
Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times.
We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe.
Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you".

You will also find a shopping centre with Woolworths in this area and other specialty shops (post office and retail). Plenty of takeaway available- KFC, McDonalds, Golden Chicken, River Heads Cafe for breakfast and lunch daily and pizza three nights a week and restaurants in the vicinity.
River Heads where K’Gari Fraser Island barge leaves from is 7.5km from our camp and you are welcome to leave your vehicles parked up for a small fee.

Expect to see amazing colours at sunrise and sunset.
Enjoy the many birds and animals that you will see as you spend time exploring our bush and farm. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often.
Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants in the whole property. No overcrowding!
Looking for a special breakfast or brunch? Try Goody’s on the Beach, a 3-minute drive away at Toogoom for great waterside dining or Arkarra Gardens, 10 minutes away for a tropical rainforest dining experience.
Pricing: Basic booking is for a vehicle with caravan, or an RV, and 2 people. Some sites can accommodate more than 1 caravan - if you are travelling with others and want to share a site, please make a separate booking for them at one of the other sites and feel free to get them to share your site instead.

90 acres of natural bushland with 300 meters of Mary River frontage. This is a great place for a base camp to explore the region. Campsites are nestled amongst trees.
There's nothing here but peace and quiet, spacious sites. The banks of the river are quite high and there is limited access into the water.
There are 2 boat ramps about 7 or 8 klms from the property.
Arrive between midday and 2pm if possible so you can set up your camp. Don't forget to bring your insect repellent as you are in the bush and beside the river.
We have also just built a shelter shed/camp kitchen have 1000 litre water pods.
No rubbish bins at the camp so bring everything you need & remove everything you bring.
- Dogs welcome. Due to past incidents, friendly, non -aggressive dogs only please.
- Campfires permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place
- Free firewood, gather fallen timber from the land

An abundance of birdlife with over 135 different species found so far including a Powerful Owl. A magnificent 400 megalitre dam that now forms part of the natural landscape of this unique property.
A hidden gem in the Wide Bay/Fraser Coast area of Queensland where relaxation, peace and privacy are unavoidable as are the sunsets and shooting stars in the clear skies above.
We are 20 minutes from the quaint Childers Township and 50 minutes from Bundaberg.
The property is totally private and caravans cannot been seen from the road, the owners live on the property and only booked guests are to enter the property offering security and peace of mind.
Whether you want to bird watch, kayak, fish (catch and release only), hike or ride one of the many trails or sit, relax and
read your favourite book, we promise a warm welcome; from the wildlife and the proprietors Tracie and Jimmy.
Dam Crazy is also pet friendly, dogs must be cleaned up after and may be walked off leash on the walking trails (please be mindful of other campers, farm animals and wildlife), they may also swim in the dam but must be contained or kept on leash in the campsite areas.
The dam is very deep and could have snags washed down in floods, so we suggest children wear life jackets, and MUST be supervised by adults at all times around the water.
Numbers are limited to ensure you have plenty of space and privacy!

Augie is one of our resident Koalas. He was released onto our property from Australia Zoo Hospital in 2023, just the same year we arrived here. Our little paradise features 30 acres, of which 20 belong to Augie and his friends as prime Koala habitat.
On the remaining acres we enjoy having a stunning little lake, just creating that zen feeling. Camping spots all have stunning views of the lake which invites you to take a stroll around following an easy walking track.
Maybe you can spot Augie or be delighted by the beautiful local birds that share our space. Our Kangaroo family usually grazes until sunrise just on the open grass area near the camp spots. This space is perfect for kicking a ball and if you are interested in hearing and learning about Permaculture and/or Conservation, be sure to chat to your host Tanja.
Children under 12 stay free. Please continue to add them to your booking (you won't be charged), so we can keep track of numbers.
A delicious breaky can be enjoyed at the nearby Cooloola Strawberry farm (2 min by car) or maybe try a subtropical dinner at Sublime (5 min by car) a quirky QLD pub.
Destinations to explore close by include Fraser Island, Tin Can Bay, and Rainbow Beach (between 35 and 45 min drive, 50 min to the Fraser Island Ferry), Lake Poona (30 min) nature trail, or visit Ponoma market (40 min) and Gympie’s cafes and shops (15 min) just around the corner.

We had a lovely quiet two days overlooking the dam. It is a great spot with lovely views and walking trails. Strongly recommend you take one of the provided canoes/kayaks and paddle up the creek from the dam. Well worth a visit for a few days

Stayed for 2 nights……it rained, it was incredibly windy but it was such a relaxing escape. Weather wasn’t the best for that weekend but made the most of our time there. I would and am staying there again. LOVED IT.

We camped in the orchard for the night to see Ben Lee hosted by the brewery.
Grassy spot with trees and basic amenities if needed. Easy access and various options to park.
The brewery has a great variety of beers, cocktails and mocktails.
We had lunch as we messaged about early check in on Friday. Then dinner and show for $80.
We had intended to stay an extra night and go to Rainbow Beach for the day but the rain sent us home early.
We will definitely be back, cheap camping and $7 schooners.

Weekend Trip to Gundy Getaway
I enjoyed our one night stay around the fireplace.
The grounds are mowed and flat and the shower and toilet clean and tidy.
It was nice to hear the sounds of water running over the rocks in the river which is a very pretty part of the property.
We enjoyed this property and would recommend to any visitors that want a quiet stopover.
