Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! We offer a choice of sites- either Lower Sites close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property or Elevated Sites with views of the valley. LOWER SITES have access to facilities- toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Most sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. These are the only sites that caravans can access. ELEVATED SITES have stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites. When submitting a booking request, select either a Lower Site or Elevated Site. Please include your vehicle make and model, camping setup (tent/swag/camper trailer), type of toilet and ensuite tent (if requesting an elevated site) and number of occupants (adults, children, dogs). You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk. If you are in need of a few essentials, we are also handy to Coles, Bunnings, Chemist Warehouse and a Bottle shop. They are all within a 5-minute drive south on the Bruce Highway. Bring your chair and enjoy our firepit whilst taking in the view. Firewood is available. For the safety of all guests, property access is strictly for booked individuals, and non-paying visitors are not permitted. Note: Our site does not have a shower or toilet, so you need to be self-contained campers. Dump points are located nearby in Beerwah or Caboolture. Come and enjoy the serenity.

Kids are free to 17 so if you have children between 12-17, please include them in the "children" booking. We provide an exclusive booking for you on absolute river frontage for tents and camper trailers. Spend your time swimming, fishing, canoeing or simply sipping a cold drink on the pontoon under the umbrella. With an easterly aspect you’ll want to spend the morning swimming or exploring the riverscape and when the afternoon shade sets in light the campfire and put your feet up. Please note... our campsite has been ongoing since 2017 and campers have kindly shared their many happy memories. Over the years, things change. Please take the photos lightly. Our sites are completely isolated from town, with views and not visible from the road. Sites are set among nearly 100 acres of a mix of open land and rainforest. Multiple natural springs exist on the property and a few small spring-fed waterholes are scattered down the cascading hills. Friendly ducks, geese, fish, horses and an abundance of native wildlife live here. This location is home to several endangered species due to being one of the last isolated pockets of rainforest in the area. We enjoyed our stay at WeeFarm. It was lovely and secluded with a small flat area to set up our rooftop tent. The directions were easy to follow. The two little dogs greeted us enthusiastically on arrival. We are not fishing people but there were tons of fish in the river and we enjoyed watching them jump around at sunset. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Had the most relaxing time staying at platypus point, and will definitely be making it a regular stop! The scenery is to die for, so tranquil with the most spectacular sunset over the river. So much wildlife to spot, and exploring the creek looking for platypus is definitely a core memory. Camp-site is clean and well maintained, with a great firepit and picnic table which is so handy. Being warmer weather, we did spot one pretty little eastern brown snake, so be sensible and wear decent footwear when exploring. Remember it's their home first, and we are just visiting! Hosts are super friendly and helpful. Thanks so much once again, we cant wait to come back.

Such a serene and extremely private location, so close to Brisbane. Waking up to stunning lake views was the absolute best!! Well kept gardens and surroundings. The games area with pool table was a surprise. Lakeview was a great little find. So grateful to have found it. We’ll definitely be back to stay and for longer. 3 days definitely wasn’t enough 😊
