3 nights at One Tree Hill

This is a beautiful spot for a relaxing, calm trip away. The views are beautiful, sites are great and amenities are well kept. There are animals and a creek and plenty of space so it’s a great place for kids and families! Bear in mind it is close to a highway so you do hear a little road noise but besides that it is great! The host is lovely and very accomodating! I would definitely recommend One Tree Hill!!

We loved our time at Juburra country camping! We stayed at the train station and one word comes to mind to sum it up… Special. That spot was something special that you don’t get every where. We even met the Hosts Michael and Kate while we were there and they are truly lovely people that really care about the quality of their campsites. They were also very happy to help me with questions leading up to our stay and answered very quickly! Bek and I can’t wait to come back again and try all the other spots on the property, although the train station is going to be hard to beat!!

We had a fantastic stay at Red Gum Hill. Guy was a lovely and welcoming host, and the campsite was beautifully maintained. We stayed at a private spot tucked away at the back—peaceful and perfect for a quiet getaway. There were easy trails along the creek where our dogs had an absolute blast exploring. One of the highlights was meeting Guy’s beloved rescue animals—such a special and heartwarming experience. We’ll definitely be back!

This is our second time visiting Guy’s land, that was still very wonderful trip. Guy’s family are very friendly, nice and easy to talk with. We can see more animals compared to last time we visited, kids had fun with animals and especially for the new born little sheep, she is really super cute, my daughter can’t stop to talk about it.

Loved our stay at Drovers Attick! You 100% need a 4WD like they say, but once you’re there it’s so worth it. Super quiet and private, no other camps around, just you and the views. Firepit was perfect for the chilly nights. Such a peaceful, relaxing spot – would definitely come back.

We stayed two nights at Hill Top Orchard which was exactly what we were looking for a nice serene location to chill for a couple of days. Everything was ideal with Neil meeting us at the gate and taking us to our site. The grass was mowed and the place was spotless. We enjoyed a camp fire looking out into the valley nestled amongst 80 year old avocado trees. We called over to Maleny which was a nice drive and had a coffee before returning to the bliss amongst the trees. Thank you Neil & Joss for opening up your stunning property and allowing our little cavoodle dog to camp with us that was awesome. In summary was a perfect couple of days. Neil always checked in each day to see if we needed wood and for a chat. As strong 10/10 from us. Thanks for everything

Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are just an hour - a stones throw - from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over the decades, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses. It's now a family hobby farm and a bush camping venue. We currently have two dogs, a handful of cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! We offer a choice of (unpowered) sites, ranging from elevated with views of the valley, or closer to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property. ELEVATED SITES have stunning views of the valley and are the preferred choice for the free range horses and cows to spend their time. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. These sites are not suitable for caravan access. LOWER SITES are closer to the creek and to facilities such as toilets, a powered shed, kettle, microwave, fridge and a sink. Most of these sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. Friendly dogs are welcome and must be kept on a lead when in close proximity to the cottage and other campers. So we are able to allocate you the most suitable site, when submitting a booking request please include your vehicle make &model, camping setup (tent/swag/4WD camper trailer/caravan etc) and number of occupants (adults, children, dogs) . Include your preference for an elevated or lower site (please note, the availability of certain sites is weather dependant). Other things to note: • Exploration of the property is welcome by foot or bicycle: 1.2 km from bottom to top. • We are not a 4WD adventure park. Vehicles must be left at your campsite and NOT used to explore the property. • No 'day visitors' are allowed unless they have an approved booking through Hipcamp. • Phone reception is patchy. • Firewood is available for purchase on site. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues.Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. Furtherest camp spot is approximately 500m from amenities block, however porta loos are located in the remote site but it’s a walk or drive back to the showers. Please come to our reception building on the way in, as we need to check everybody in, visitors to your camp site need to sign in and pay a day fee. We are then able to answer any questions you may have and further cement our rules. Day visitors to your campsite will incur a $10 per person fee and is time restrictive. For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks -Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.
