We have several peaceful campsites available on our off grid property near Crows Nest. Also a private glamping site with a 5m Bell Tent - with everything you need for a relaxing night away.
We are 10km north of the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane.
The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude.
From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast and sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest.
There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop, and another site further down the hill alongside the main driveway.
It is very quiet and peaceful, yet only a 10-minute drive to Crows Nest.
Enjoy the spring fed dam in the warmer months. 🏊♂️

All sites are private and secluded with great views, great sunsets, and starry night skies. There is an abundance of birds and wildlife including Red Necked Wallabies, Possums, Rufus Batongs, Bandicoots and Echidnas.
There are seasonal creeks and waterfalls and wildflowers. Campers may occasionally be visited by a herd of friendly goats that like soft drink and chips. We often have baby goats and alpacas that are being hand reared which are popular with kids and adults alike.
Dogs are permitted but have to be quiet and restrained. Campfires permitted at our discretion (please ask first - depending on weather conditions). You'll need to BYO wood.
Campers MUST have their own toilet. The standard "Pack it in. Pack it out" rules apply.

We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here.
This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here.
No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.

We have several peaceful campsites available on our off grid property near Crows Nest. Also a private glamping site with a 5m Bell Tent - with everything you need for a relaxing night away.
We are 10km north of the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane.
The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude.
From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast and sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest.
There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop, and another site further down the hill alongside the main driveway.
It is very quiet and peaceful, yet only a 10-minute drive to Crows Nest.

We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here.
This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here.
No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.

What a fabulous spot to camp for the night. It’s a secret little gem this farm and the animals were just beautiful. Cows, horses, kangaroos and a beautiful kingfisher eating fish from the creek in the morning kept us entertained as we cooked breakfast over the camp fire. It’s incredibly peaceful, safe, and so private. Perfect for older kids like my teen who loved it and my little dog who was well behaved and didn’t wander off. We had epic weather also and went for swims in the clear creek to freshen up. We will be back to this glorious property and feel so grateful for the opportunity to camp here. Thank you so much J&T.

We just spent 3 nights camping on this beautiful 200-acre cattle farm and honestly didn’t want to leave! The views were absolutely stunning — wide open spaces, peaceful surroundings, and the kind of scenery that instantly helps you unwind. The lower valley view camp felt calm, private, and incredibly relaxing. One of the highlights was the animals — they were gorgeous and often wandered close by, surrounding us at times, which made the experience feel even more special and immersive. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with plenty of space and breathtaking views, this spot is definitely worth it. We’ll be back for sure ☺️

We loved our stay at Tremayne, The Old Avocado Farm. Neil and Joss were friendly, easy going, and hospitable hosts. We found it to be a relaxing, private, and serene getaway. We enjoyed lovely views from our site at the Summit including loads of bird life. If you prefer to be secluded from other campers, we would definitely recommend the Summit for your stay. There is no other campers within view from this site which we appreciated as our pup can sometimes be a bit funny around strangers. She still had plenty of room to run around on a long runner which we brought with us. The other sites appeared to have space between them but were within view of other campers so this is something to keep in mind if you prefer a bit more privacy. We were parked on a bit of a slope but still managed to find space to set up 2 vehicles, 2 small vans, a small tent and the fire pit which was provided. Nothing the 4x4 couldn't handle! Would definitely suggest packing warm depending on when you travel as it can get a bit blowy and cool especially at night. Would definitely recommend the rainforest walk which loops back past the dam. As suggested by Neil, spray some Bushman's repellent around your feet to deter the leeches. Also be sure to check your pup's feet if you take them along! Shoes with good traction are an absolute must as it can be slippery terrain with a mix of somewhat steep hills and water crossings. Overall, highly recommend as a beautiful place to getaway for a short break.

Absolutely loved our stay at Possum Bush Retreat. Planned for two nights—stayed for three. The sites were well maintained, Sharni and the boys had firewood ready for all campsites prior to us turning up.
Zip-lining into the dam was so much fun. Animals were friendly, views were stunning especially at sunset. Just an overall amazing experience.
We will definitely be revisiting for another great weekend getaway.

Had a fantastic stay here, Sharni was incredible to deal with and super friendly, the camp sites are very secluded and the land is absolutely beautiful, lots of animals wandering round aswell which is great, would definitely recommend a stay here, we will definitely be back

We (family of 4 - mum / dad and 2 boys, 5 & 7) had a great time off grid at Tinara.
“The Glen” is a great site next to a creek with some short walks exploring the farm.
We met cows and ponies, had great camp fires and enjoyed the seclusion of the camp site - felt so private and like you’re really in the wilderness.
Our hosts were very welcoming and we had great chats with them.
Very enjoyable 3-night stay.

We had a great stay here. Beautiful countryside and awesome sunsets. Loved seeing the animals, horses, dogs, cattle and sheep. Close to Bunya mountains. Just a lovely tranquil place.

We stayed on the hilltop site as we were trialling our off grid set up for 2 nights and wanted to be close to power if we needed it (which we didn’t need in the end thankfully). For other campers that stay there, just be aware that the power outlets are only 10amp, so you will need an adapter if you want to plug into power.
The cows came and said hello to us as we were driving up the hill and escorted us half way up, which was very nice to see. We had to engage 4wd to get up the hill towing the van as there were a few loose rocks on the track, but no bother at all.
The view back towards the east was fantastic to sit on our chairs and take that in. We used the fireplace the first night we were there which was nice and relaxing as well. There was even a bunny rabbit in the herb garden that said hello to us as it scurried away to take shelter.
We went and had a look at the creek and orchard campsites, which are unpowered. The creek site was a very nice site with a couple of fire pits and a track that took you down to the crystal clear waters of the creek (which was quite cold, too cold for a dip). The orchard site has a few spots with fire pits and it didn’t appear to be easy to get to the creek below if you wanted to.
Overall though, a fantastic and relaxing stay and just what we needed.

The Creek at 100 Acre Estate was just idyllic. The site is beautiful and flat, and overlooks the crystal clear creek that you can hear babbling away. It is so private, so quiet, and the property is stunning and easy to find. We were even visited by a wallaby one morning. We also wandered down to the orchard which our little boys loved running through and looking at all the different trees. John and Tenille have a beautiful property and we feel lucky to have been able to stay on it.
