This property is a working cattle located in the beautiful Somerset region of Queensland. The camping area is mowed and maintained for easy access for setting up the tent, parking an RV or just throwing a swag on the ground , with views to Somerset Dam. Walking distance to Somerset Dam through the cattle paddocks. A purpose built fire pit next to a rustic entertaining area with uninterrupted views to the Lake. At night the bar lights up to add to the ambiance of the bar and fire pit area . Stay one night or a couple and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. Plenty of animals, domestic and wild. The property is a working cattle station with livestock grazing in the adjoining paddocks. Wildlife ie: deer, koala's, kangaroos , possums and a multitude of bird life. For those travelling in large groups, please contact us to discuss your requirements. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and ensure that your camping experience is unforgettable. Pets are permitted but must be kept on a leash at all times in campground and around the lake area. Guests are required to bring their own firewood.

This is a working cattle property , the Open Grassy Space campsite is a semi flat open area , cleared and mowed perfect for tents or RV's . Guest will enjoy an un-interrupted spectacular view to Somerset Lake. There may be another group visible 500 feet away near the Firepit campsite. There is a designated fire pit that is be used at this site. There is a walking trail through the cattle paddock so you can walk to the lake. Pets are permitted but must be kept on a leash at all times in campground area and around the lake. There are no hook ups for power or water at this site , guests will need to take rubbish with them and leave no trace. Speed limit on the incoming road is 10klms, please adhere to the speed limit. Any person wishing to have groups bigger than 6 persons, please contact owner to discuss options. Guests will need to bring their own firewood.

Really loved it! Such an amazing place just to escape the busy city life and the fact it’s close drive from Brisbane makes it even better. One of the my favourite place so far! Thank you Annette for letting us camp at your property would definitely visit again my family and I really enjoyed ourself

We absolutely loved our stay here and would happily return. Even with a few showers of rain, it was still magical. Waking up to foggy mornings over the mountains and Somerset Lake was such a beautiful experience. The campsite is spacious, peaceful and well maintained, with friendly cows, kangaroos nearby, and the lovely sounds of birds and goats adding to the atmosphere. The walk down to the lake was a highlight, and the dogs had the best time exploring. The toilet and hot water shower were a fantastic bonus and made the stay even more comfortable. If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax, enjoy nature and soak up beautiful lake views, we highly recommend this spot. We can’t wait to come back! 🐾🏕️🌿

Lovely lovely lovely. I do not have a single bad thing to say about this place. The view from our tents was amazing and beautiful night skies were stunning. Only a 20-30min walk to the lake which was 100% worth the zen feeling once reached. The house rules were very simple to follow and Annette’s hospitality was amazing. This will be one of our new regular spot.

I loved the Firepit area campsite with views to the lake! It is absolutely stunning! Thank you Annette for sharing your amazing property with everyone. It is so peaceful & relaxing! Very clean. Great that there is a hot shower & toilet. The caretaker is also lovely & welcoming. Love how I had the firepit to myself & a bar & fridge & powerpoints & fairy lights. Love how you can also bring your dog! I will definately be coming back! :)

Absolutely stunning view of the lake and mountains. The campsite and bathrooms were extremely clean and tidy. The hosts were lovely too. Definitely coming back and considering holding an event with there space. Wish we stayed longer !!!!

Great views of the paddocks and lake. (Campsite 1 review only) The fire pit worked really well, large. Fully functional and clean bathroom was a bonus (shower, laundry, flushing toilet). Undercover area with seating and benches to prepare meals or coffee. Very kind host visited with us for a bit.

We had 3 nights on the firepit site at Lakeview Estate and just loved it. The views are beautiful and the sunsets were stunning every night. The site is spacious and on lovely lush grass. The firepit area is spacious and level and really set off well with the string lights in the trees so there's quite a large area gently lit if you want it at night. The generously sized bathroom (also including a washing machine) means no hopping on one leg trying to get dry and dressed after you shower 😀. While we had perfect weather the rustic shed is set up with tables and plenty of seating if you needed to get out of bad weather. Directions are clear and the host and caretaker are friendly. This is probably the prettiest hipcamp we've stayed at. Highly recommended.

Such a great experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming, with beautiful natural surroundings that made it easy to unwind and disconnect from the busy routine. The campsite itself was well-maintained, with clean facilities and plenty of space, making it comfortable whether you’re camping as a couple, with friends, or as a family. We especially appreciated how peaceful it was at night—perfect for relaxing by the fire and enjoying the outdoors. It’s a great spot for anyone looking to recharge, enjoy nature, and spend some quality time away. We’d definitely recommend it and would happily come back again!

Lake view Estate has beautiful views with the lake and green mountains. It's clean and quiet place with serenity. The host Annette was so accommodating. The good thing it has toilet and bath in the site and there's no need to bring our porta loo. Definitely we'll going back again.

Probably one of the prettiest campsites I've stayed at so far, the view was beautiful. The site is maintained really well and has clean facilities (toilet and shower). There are a couple of trees that provide shade throughout the day. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great weekend.

We had the most incredible and relaxing time! It was so peaceful, with a spectacular view that took our breath away. The sunsets by the large campfire were truly magical, and the kids had a wonderful time exploring. Plus, we loved the sheltered area, it was such a perfect retreat from the hot sun and gave us extra space that we needed as a family. We can’t wait to come back!
