We are located just 35 mins from Caloundra and 45 from Maroochydore. We are close to Australia Zoo, Ewen Maddock Dam, Maleny and Glasshouse Mountains. Enjoy mountain walks and cycling.

Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in.
The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type.
Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you.

We are located just 35 mins from Caloundra and 45 from Maroochydore. We are close to Australia Zoo, Ewen Maddock Dam, Maleny and Glasshouse Mountains. Enjoy mountain walks and cycling.

Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. I needed a break away from the hustle and bustle of the city and Jimna Base Camp was the absolute perfect location! Spotlessly clean amenities and plenty of room. Peace and tranquility, surrounded by trees and birds! Pete’s hospitality was 5 star, and I absolutely loved my time there! Gorgeous bush walks, swims in the creek, chats over coffee with the locals all adds to the appeal! Will definitely be back!

We had a great 3 nights staying at the Shack and it was incredible and will be a memorable one for all of us including little kids. It was very comfortable stay for us. This property had everything ( except stove in kitchen but bbq setup outside), including a lot of toys for kids to play. We will visit again this place in the future during Spring season. The facilities are very well kept, and having access to a full shower/toilet block as well as an undercover kitchen makes this a very comfortable stay.
We had the park almost to ourselves for the stay, which was lovely. The campsites are close together but a small group would be able to have a decent size if taking multiple spots, with some distinct upper and lower areas. Individual campers may find people are very close by if it is a busy/packed time.
The campsite is also attached or part of a commune, so there is a strong community vibe which could be either a pleasant experience or a turnoff for some folk if they are not comfortable with occasionally stopping and having a chat with those who live in the same vicinity.
We didn't have the opportunity to look around the area much as while there are walks around, it was too hot to do so in December. However, the campsite was regularly visited by friendly wallabies and roos, and there were plenty of photo opportunities with the animals lounging around.
A nice place and the easy access to proper shower/toilets is a great bonus.

Weekend Trip to Quails Ridge Farm Stay
My family and I had such a nice relaxing time on the farm, We hired a cabin for our grandparents and all the young ones camped next to the cabin, Had everything we needed, We loved the pool and the chickens the most 😊 Karen was only a txt message away if we had any questions.

Possum Bush Retreat was bloody awesome!
As an adventure rider it was such a beautiful place to moto camp. I stayed at the ridge camp site, bit of a hill climb to get up to it but nothing too difficult. It was scenic, peaceful and had the whole place to myself. Sharni and Graham were super friendly hosts, They made me feel welcome, made sure I had everything and plenty of firewood, I was even lucky enough to ride passenger in their off road buggies to see the whole property. Highly recommend this spot!

Sealed fire pit area and space for tents
Great location for a group
Our fur babies loved the cool dips
Close enough to nearby villages for meals out of needed
Jimmy very responsive and gave us our privacy

We had the absolute best stay at Kookaburra Park! The camp sites are spread out so you don’t feel on top of other campers. The animal experiences are great and not only for kids!! And it’s dog friendly! Shout out to Steve and Oakley who are great hosts and their love for the land and the animals shows. Would definitely return!
